Czech Wikipedia´s project - Students write Wikipedia

[edit]

Hello, and welcome to the English Wikipedia. It is usually a good idea for students and teachers working on a Wikipedia project to create a userpage stating that they are part of an educational project and what the goals of that project are. This way it gives other editors a better understanding of what they are trying to accomplish and will likely be much more lenient and helpful. I placed an {{Under Construction}} tag on one of your pages to prevent it from being deleted for now. -War wizard90 (talk) 04:15, 12 June 2015 (UTC) Thank you very much for this help, the article was back sooner, than I expected. An article you recently created, Chapel of Virgin Mary of Sorrows, Beroun, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please follow the confirms on the Articles for Creation template atop the page. Your draft article, Draft:Defensive walls, Beroun

[edit]

Hello, KKDAII. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Defensive walls".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. DannyS712 (talk) 09:19, 9 February 2019 (UTC) Well, the article was created as a part of the semestral work by one of my student at the Faculty of Architecture, Czech Technical University in the project Students write Wikipedia. The article can be also partly translation of the Czech article. For the student (first year student) was quite difficult to upload an article by herself, so I was trying to help her. She was disappointed at the end, that her work was not published, even she worked on it. And sincerelly, I do not have time to completly recreate weaker articles made by my students. Also lack of sources especially in English is naturally usual problem due the type of the topic of the article and it would be understandable. There are not so many specialist who can write scientific articles about "minority topic" in English. Not every town defensive wall or a church in the Czech Republic is described in the scientific article written in English, the topic can be mention only in one sentence on the English webpage of the town, which is obviously not the best source in English. So I prefer, if students write there sources in Czech. It is pity, that English Wikipedia doesn´t support more these kinds of projects, e.g. announcement, that the article was created by a student - possible future Wikipedian, who is trying to start. So other Wikipedian could help him/her with formal parts, etc. and be more nice and benevolent.. (KKDAII (talk) 19:49, 11 July 2019 (UTC)).[reply]
