Removing maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Leonid Berdichevsky, without resolving the problem that the template refers to may be considered vandalism. The templates are there to call attention to work which is needed to improve the article, and the effect of removing them is likely to be that the improvements are less likely to be carried out.
