Please verify that your link is to an existing article. batswomen is a wp:REDLINK and goes nowhere. The solution is to wp:pipe the link: [[Batting (cricket)|batswoman]] (the nowiki stuff is so you see the code) This 'complies' to batswoman Which links to the presumably correct article. Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 2023–24 National League, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Macron. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Information icon Hello, I'm Seasider53. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Jose Mourinho, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Seasider53 (talk) 01:27, 1 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I found a reliable source.

[edit]

Hey mate, I found a reliable source posted above. In addition to this, all headlines say he is at Fenerbahçe, and he himself has had press conferences in Turkiye. Would you mind reinstating the edit? Thanks, Julius. Julius Hardware (talk) 10:45, 3 June 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Teams in cricketer infobox

[edit]

Hello. You may not be aware, but we don't list teams in a cricketer's infobox until they make a senior appearance for the side. This has been discussed multiple times at various locations and is the consensus. Thanks. Blue Square Thing (talk) 07:23, 31 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, yes, I thought this might be the case. Sorry abt that, are there any specific instances I can correct, I did a few. Thanks for the correction. Julius Hardware (talk) 10:50, 31 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure. I spotted some Sydney Thunder ones, so if it was mainly BBL ones than I suppose the best option would be to roll through the squad lists for articles you've visited and check each one perhaps? I shouldn't think it matters too much overall though – when you spot them, check and then change them if necessary. Blue Square Thing (talk) 09:28, 1 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, they were all Sydeny Thunder ones. The overall reason that I was confused is that the IPL 2025 players are already listed at their clubs, so, when I saw that some of the contracted BBL players were not, I thought I should add them. One other quick question: When a player does not play, say, until their second season, do I list their start date as when they were initially contracted, or when they made their first appearance? Julius Hardware (talk) 22:12, 3 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, we generally get this problem each year when the IPL auction happens. I think I got to most of the articles, but I'm sure some have popped back up with the 2025 season included. It's inevitable - there are a lot of fan accounts which do this sort of thing.
Just include the range of seasons played. So if someone is in a squad in 2022, played in 2023 and 2025, I'd usually go 2023–2025, unless they played for a different team in 2024. It can get tricky at times, but that's the general rule. –present can cause some problems - if you look at recentish Sheffield Shield players I'm sure you'll find some that go something like 2012/13–present but stopped playing in 2015. Articles aren't updated frequently enough.
Thanks – appreciate you taking this sort of thing onboard. Blue Square Thing (talk) 23:15, 3 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
