- Do a search on Google or your preferred search engine for the subject of the Wikipedia article that you want to create a citation for.
- Find a website that supports the claim you are trying to find a citation for.
- In a new tab/window, go to the citation generator, click on the 'An arbitrary website' bubble, and fill out as many fields as you can about the website you just found.
- Click the 'Get reference wiki text' button.
- Highlight, and then copy (Ctrl+C or Apple+C), the resulting text (it will be something like
<ref> {{cite web | .... }}</ref>
, copy the whole thing). - In the Wikipedia article, after the claim you found a citation for, paste (Ctrl+V or Apple+V) the text you copied.
- If the article does not have a References or Notes section (or the like), add this to the bottom of the page, but above the External Links section and the categories:
==References== {{Reflist}}
Good venues to get help (and bad ones...)
[edit]Hi, I notice you ended up at the administrators' noticeboard for incidents (ANI) over some difficulties with someone undoing your edits. ANI is a very ferocious, conflict-orientated place, where little mercy or understanding is likely to be shown to anyone. If you've got any questions, problems or queries, I strongly recommend you try the Wikipedia:Teahouse first. It's much more friendly. Many admins and experienced editors read it, and will provide useful, friendly and helpful advice. And usually the replies are pretty quick too. Good luck, and happy editing! Adityawarman
[edit]This is Indonesia, in Sumatra not India... You don't have to translate all papers in Indic letters... King Aditiawarman has a career in Sumatra and Sumatra has its own uniqueness.. You are not Sumatran so please respect the uniqueness of the island of Sumatra.. đ Elnino18 (talk) 06:42, 22 July 2022 (UTC)
- Sanskrit was the liturgical language of Adityawarman's kingdom. His name is from Sanskrit, and the only reason we know about him is sanskrit inscriptions! Amoghapasa inscriptionPadang Roco Inscription Josepherino (talk) 18:04, 22 July 2022 (UTC)
Malaysian Dayak
[edit]Hi! I noticed you have interest and knowledges in Dayak-related articles. Mind if I ask for assistance on Dayak in politics on Malaysian side, since it is currently very lacking and I dont know much about political intrigue of Malaysian side of Borneo. Thank you~ Nyanardsan (talk) 03:01, 25 July 2022 (UTC)
Using sources appropriately
[edit]Hi! A few times, I've encountered your edits on articles on my watchlist that have demonstrated departures from the original sources or have been written in a manner that causes POV issues. For example, on Catholic Church in Canada, phrasing such as "spotty" is inappropriate outside of quotation or close paraphrasing of opinion. Your contributions have largely been sourced and constructive, but just taking a little more time to review how to appropriately deploy sources will help propel you as a great editor. Thank you! ~ Pbritti (talk) 21:58, 29 July 2022 (UTC)
- I see. I'll remove that wording. If you see anything else fishy let me know ill go through them and edit it. Josepherino (talk) 22:02, 29 July 2022 (UTC)
- I handled that one. Hardly egregious and overall you made a very important contribution to the article. Thank you! ~ Pbritti (talk) 22:08, 29 July 2022 (UTC)
Copying within Wikipedia requires attribution
[edit] Hi Josepherino! Thank you for your edits to Iconoclasm. It looks like you've copied or moved text from Persecution of Hindus into that page, and while you are welcome to re-use the content, Wikipedia's licensing requires that you provide attribution to the original contributor(s). When copying within Wikipedia, this is supplied in an edit summary at the page into which you've copied content, disclosing the copying and linking to the copied page, e.g., copied content from [[page name]]; see that page's history for attribution
. If you've copied material between pages before, even if it was a long time ago, please provide attribution for this duplication if it has not already been supplied by another editor. You can read more about the procedure and the reasons at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. Thanks! DanCherek (talk) 21:38, 31 July 2022 (UTC)
- Oh, thanks for letting me know! I had no idea, I'll make sure to do that in the future. Josepherino (talk) 21:40, 31 July 2022 (UTC)

- You're reverting this user's edits simply because you don't like them and that's inappropriate. Hey man im josh (talk) 12:41, 2 August 2022 (UTC)
- If you would like to dispute any of my edits I am more than willing to talk about them leave a link to the edit and your explanation here or in the articles talk page, please to do not go through my edits and revert them, its against wikipedia decorum and very unhelpful. Blocked as a sockpuppet

Request reason:
I'm not a sockpuppet? I clicked on the investigation page and a didn't find any investigation linking me to that account. why have I been accused of this, is this a mistake? I make good edits and you can tell my editing quality, focus and style is much better than that of Arohan19Josepherino (talk) 16:37, 5 August 2022 (UTC)
Decline reason:

- This is a checkuser block. Please see this section of the GAB-- Deepfriedokra (talk) 16:59, 5 August 2022 (UTC)
- It says, "Certain administrators have access to a tool called CheckUser which reveals some of Wikipedia's private technical logs. CheckUser data can contribute to a finding that a user has abused multiple accounts (sockpuppetry). If your account is "CheckUser blocked", that means that you were blocked for sockpuppetry and that CheckUser data was relevant to the decision."-- Deepfriedokra (talk) 18:18, 5 August 2022 (UTC)
unblock request
[edit]@Deepfriedokra: what does a checkuser block mean? why was I falsely accused of this, from the investigation page I don't see anything so I'm not sure why I was. all that page states is that I need to appeal from my main account, which I did and I wasn't given any further explanation Josepherino (talk) 17:06, 5 August 2022 (UTC)
- I tsays more than that. Let's explain what a WP:check user is. Checkusers can see what IP's, browsers, and what and other computery stuff you use. And the accounts that information links to. -- Deepfriedokra (talk) 18:17, 5 August 2022 (UTC)
