You should also note that you have to sign your comments by using four of those ~ at the end of your messages (i.e. ~~~~, this will simply place your user name and date; see my signature at the end of this message as an example.)

P.S. Some new users find editing Wikipedia a bit difficult at first, but it only seems this way. In fact it is quite easy to get used to editing it and actually finding that enjoyable ! :)
Good luck! :)

Speedy deletion of Lawrence Leritz

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Lawrence Leritz, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article seems to be blatant advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. ukexpat (talk) 18:42, 6 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of The Pulse Ensemble Theatre

[edit]

A tag has been placed on The Pulse Ensemble Theatre requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.

AfD nomination of Eric Harriz

[edit]

An article that you have been involved in editing, Eric Harriz, has been listed for deletion. If you are interested in the deletion discussion, please participate by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Eric Harriz. Thank you. Mwanner | Talk 00:45, 26 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It looks like the Harriz article is headed for a "keep", thanks to some work by [Metropolitan90‎, who did considerably better research than I did in nominating it. So, you win some, you lose some. Don't get discouraged. There's a lot to learn when you start out-- we've all been through it. Cheers! -- Mwanner | Talk 14:09, 30 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Big Easy Award

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Big Easy Award requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words.

If the external website belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. ./zro (⠠⠵) 18:28, 13 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of François Klaus

[edit]

A tag has been placed on François Klaus requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Gopal81ChatMe!ReadMe!! 02:26, 21 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Ondine

[edit]

Please Help! - I am looking for the support of ballet and dance enthusiasts on Wikipedia, to help me prevent the proposed merging of Ondine (Ashton), into an article about the ballet's music. The music for this ballet would not have been written had it not been for the choreographer Frederick Ashton, who commissioned it specially for this ballet. This ballet was one of Ashton's most famous works and it would be a terrible shame for this article to be merged into an article that focusses primarily on the music and the composer rather than the ballet and the choreography.

See here: - Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Classical_music#Straw_Poll

Please vote to oppose this change, as this music would not have been written had it not been for Ashton's ballet!!!

Thank You
