- @Mumbai karma: The content you removed was well-sourced. You have no justification for its removal. Jim1138 (talk) 09:00, 18 July 2018 (UTC)
the reviews were quoted out of context and there were too many reviews. I have picked out more pertinent sections of the reviews compared to the cursorily quoted sections. the budget of the film was wrong and is completely wrong representation. I had corrected film festivals with pertinent sections in which the film was screened. you cannot justify what was such a poorly edited page.

- Your additions were removed not because they were wp:spam, but they were not sourced. Per Wikipedia's policy of wp:verifiability, all significant content needs to wp:cite a wp:reliable source. This is especially important for wp:biographies of living persons (BLPs) such as Jen Miller. Use of one's own knowledge is wp:original research, is not verifiable and therefore not acceptable. Also, please understand you are simply an IP address and wp:Wikipedia is anonymous. So, I don't know who you are and if you are friend or foe of Miller. So, find a source or leave it off. Thank you Jim1138 (talk) 08:35, 18 July 2018 (UTC)
- You have been doing this for awhile and they have been repeatedly removed. Messages have been left on your IP talk pages, but apparently, you haven't seen them. Discuss on talk:Jen Miller please. See help:talk pages for instructions. Thank you Jim1138 (talk) 20:10, 18 July 2018 (UTC)

Luca Scassa
As stated above in the Jakub Smrz section, all information is taken from the official EWC website. Which clearly states that Luca Scassa drives for the No Limits Motor Team, again if you are going to remove this, you may as well remove every single motorcycle racer team information as very few have citations. The information is correct and accurate, you removing it makes the page less accurate. Hate Wikipedia mods man. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.38.93.132 (talk) 10:59, 20 July 2018 (UTC)

SeaRates.com ports listing
Hi Jim,
How should the relevant information about statistics, routes, services, coverage and rates can be found at specialized portals for container shipping be added to the article? Right now the domain have been noticed as blacklisted, which is most probably by mistake, as me and my colleagues from logistics speciality are using the resource as one of the oldest and most reliable ones. I will try to request whitelisting of it.
Stefrogovskiy (talk) 09:56, 17 July 2018 (UTC) Stefan
- @Stefrogovskiy: Wikipedia is an encyclopedia, not a listing service. See wp:NOTDIRECTORY. Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 09:59, 17 July 2018 (UTC)
- @Jim1138: Agree with you, noted, but there should be a way to mention an authoritative resource in encyclopedia with a right reference to valid ports information, available for readers, isn't it? Like movies refer to IMDB.
- @Stefrogovskiy: The question is "which one?" Googling "Container shipping rates" returns quite a few hits. List them all and the article might become unnavigable. Limit to one, the others would probably complain. That might happen with the likes of Rotten Tomatoes, IMDB, AllMovie, etc., if there become too many. If you wish, broach the topic on wp:Village pump. You should check the archives first. It's likely been discussed before. Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 10:55, 17 July 2018 (UTC)

Best for Britain
Hi there
Some changes have been made to the Best for Britain page to correct several inaccuracies that were there. - it stated `Gina Miller is a director of Best for Britain' - she never has been a director of the campaign or company behind it. Gina joined Best for Britain as a spokesperson for the duration of the tactical vote campaign during the 2017 election, leaving afterwards to focus on other projects. Best for Britain was founded as a company in late 2016 (the company name is UK-EU Open Policy Ltd) by several people listed at Companies House, Gina was not therefore one of the founders of what become the Best for Britain campaign. This was an inaccuracy that has now been rectified. Given how many inaccuracies there are in the press about Gina Miller and Best for Britain, it's vital for historical accuracy the roles are set out correctly on wikipedia.
This also relates to the changes in the box on 'founders' and 'key people'.
Please be specific about the inaccuracies you think the original text reflected, as the text I proposed is in fact accurate. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 83.244.237.110 (talk) 10:57, 22 July 2018 (UTC)

(118.210.202.220 (talk) 07:01, 23 July 2018 (UTC))
You reverted my changes.
I changed the result because neutral sources claim that. Most of the Indo-Pakistan conflicts on wikipedia are heavily biased because they most of them use Indian government sources as references. Most of their claims are exaggerated and some downright incorrect. Please look into the changes I made and refer to neutral sources before attempting to silence voices you don't like hearing. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 199.249.110.29 (talk) 07:03, 23 July 2018 (UTC)
You seem to be confusing these sections, applying the style of the latter to the former. Foo "Bar" Baz style is only used for nicknames and other pseudonyms, not initials. If you think reader confusion could somehow result, you could use the standardized approach taken at CC Sabathia and CCH Pounder. Even this is probably overkill; it's extremely unlikely that any reader is not going to understand in absence of these "known commonly as" or "known professionally as" comments. — SMcCandlish ☏ ¢ 😼 06:00, 24 July 2018 (UTC)
Edit to page: Taylor York
Hi Jim1138, you didn't leave a message for me, but I saw you left it for the unregistered editor. I would like to say that person made 3 changes, all of which were false as the date they were claiming something happened, said subject was not in that city/state on that date, and they were very untrue facts about his life. If there's a way to stop this from happening again that would be great. Asluckyasus (talk) 09:00, 24 July 2018 (UTC)
- @Asluckyasus: Unfortunately, many wp:BLPs get vandalized. About all one can do is put them on their watch list. If the vandalizing gets 'excessive', one can request page protection. WP:RfPP. The instructions are on that page. They typically won't protect a page with a relatively small amount of vandalism as Taylor York has had at this time. Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 09:18, 24 July 2018 (UTC)
If you check the official EWC website, it states he is a member of the team there. There is no consistency in citations for motorcycle riders teams, so if you are going to remove that one, you may as well remove every one. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.38.93.132 (talk) 10:54, 20 July 2018 (UTC)
- (talk page stalker) Smrz is a serial-crasher towards the end of his undistinguished career, just making up the numbers in mediocre teams with little press coverage, who will never be any good due to inconsistency and should stop riding. Leaving aside my opinion, here is his quote (reproduced in Facebook, 5 July) regarding the latest (ongoing) injury situation that stops him from riding, including for the UK team but particularly for a European Endurance Team:
Here's the update from Kuba, Get well soon from all at PR Racing. Kuba Smrž: "Today I was on X-ray control by surgeon MUDr. Toufar and everything is OK. Now I'll have small rehabilitation and after four weeks I can move more. And if everything will be good, in eight weeks the metal will go out and I can do full rehabilitation."
- This IP is a menace (having a history of surveilling racers' social media, then transposing media-unreported changes in real-time) with edits of a few bytes only into the lede of many articles causing regular editors much down-time picking up the pieces. Looks like I'll have to do it......(update the Smrz article).--Rocknrollmancer (talk) 19:17, 22 July 2018 (UTC)
- @Rocknrollmancer: None of the anon's edits cite any source as far as I can see. I undid a number of the anon's unsourced edits. Most of those BLP racing articles need more citations as well. Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 21:32, 22 July 2018 (UTC)
- The IP's actions have been many small unsourced changes to a large number of articles - some more obscure than others - for a number of years now - but I do pick up on a few on Watchlist. It is becoming more difficult for us, however, with (primary source) teams choosing Facebook presences in preference to paid-for domain names, and media choosing to share and/or re-tweet from those sources, the equivalent of press-releases, whereas, as publishers, they are surmised to be vetting the sources. Muchas.--Rocknrollmancer (talk) 14:44, 24 July 2018 (UTC)

About my edit to Pig Destroyer
I see that you reverted my edit to the page, I think it's my fault for not leaving a summary, I need to keep that in my mind when it comes to adding or removing content. But, why I removed some content was that the reference wasn't with the right information in the lead part, the reference article didn't explain why Evans was replaced, it was a reference already added about Blake Harrison's inclusion in the biography section, on top of that another site was typed into the URL making the link invalid. It was recently added too when some lead was added by another user, and I'd thought to remove the incorrect reference and expand upon the lead, and also give more information to how the band started along in their biography with some more recent info. In my edit, I still left the original reference in to Blake Harrison's inclusion and fixed its URL to lead to the correct article, I just moved that piece of information in the biography to make it more chronologically organized. I would appreciate if my edit could be put back into place. Mrcoolj90 (talk) 15:32, 24 July 2018 (UTC)
- @Mrcoolj90: My apology. If you want to get a reminder on edit summaries, you can set it in Preferences/Editing Editor/Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. It can be really annoying ;oP, but it is greatly appreciated by us wp:RCPers. If the ES gets too long, one can always add a brief ES with "see talk" and add a new section there. Preferably the talk first. Thanks for the note. Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 19:25, 24 July 2018 (UTC)
Ok, thank you very much. I'll put back up my edit soon, don't know if I should have to include the edit summary when I do that though. Mrcoolj90 (talk) 22:49, 24 July 2018 (UTC)
- @Mrcoolj90: I would recommend an ES as other RCPs won't understand your edit. Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 23:05, 24 July 2018 (UTC)

indrajita
Hello, you undid my correction of the misspelling of the word indrajita. the way it works is that sanskritham (the language in which the word indrajita comes from) does not end w/ consonants. however, derived languages like Hindi, bengali, punjabi, etc. do.
so the actual name should be indrajita. if you search for indrajita, you will also get plenty of results. unfortunately as a majority of english newspapers are based out of regions where derived languages are spoken, it may actually get more search results but it doesn't reflect the actual name nor the prevalence of the name. not to mention that this is a sanskritham name & a sanskritham character & not one restricted or originating from derived languages. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.44.177.134 (talk) 16:15, 24 July 2018 (UTC)

Yes...in Hindi. which is what i've been specifically saying. In Sanskrit derived languages, the word is Indrajit, like Rama is turned into Ram or Lakshmana is turned into Lakshman and so on, but not in the original Sanskrit language. If you read the script, the last letter is त. put that into Google translate & let me know what sound you hear. The page is full of spelling mistakes, if i don't change it, then who will? Not only of Indrajeeta but also for Laskhmana's name & plenty of asthra names are improperly spelled.
Changed the Sanskrit spelling & the accompanying information but not the rest of the hindi spelling of the name.174.44.177.134 (talk) 02:29, 25 July 2018 (UTC)

On the Qis Abdur Rashid page on the Genetics section it says no genological link found between Ancient Isemeetic Israelites and pahsutns next to that could you please write {HOW WOULD YOU KNOW IF THERE IS NO ANCIENT ISRAELITE SUBJECT TO CONFIRM YOUR STATEMENT?} Because we cant just accept empty claims now can we, especially seeing that a nation of 50 million + with tribes documented and undocumented rangine from 5000 + are purely structure on the basis of Israelite progenitor. We cannot just ignore that people.... Secondly when it says in the genetics section pashtuns have 51% r1a which makes them related to their neighbours write {THE KYRGYZ HAVE 61% R1A YET THEY ARE NOTHING LIKE PASHTUNS?} because seeriously, polish people have about 39% r1a, pashtuns 51% and kyrgyz 61% yet all of them are nothing like each other but some ***hole is trying to makes us like one people? please do justice, thanks :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A02:C7D:3B92:6F00:A973:C0DF:45DC:6796 (talk) 09:18, 25 July 2018 (UTC)

Pine Tar
I made the change because the statement "Pine tar has been banned...," is false. Products containing pine tar can be readily purchased. How do I cite that?
Additionally, the claim that production methods result in the creation of creosite is false. Modern production methods do not result in the creation of this carcinogenic substance. Instead of asking me to cite a source proving that claim, perhaps the original author should do a better job of providing balanced information.

Oz? on methanol
Hi, I was wondering about your rationale or some policy for converting mL units to ounces. Cheers, --Smokefoot (talk) 23:27, 28 July 2018 (UTC)
- @Smokefoot: The US fluid ounce is what most Americans are familiar with, unfortunately... The 100ml median lethal does was already given in fl oz, so I added fl oz to the other two. Jim1138 (talk) 23:52, 28 July 2018 (UTC)
- By "American," you mean people in the US? Canada is metric. Most users of en-Wikipedia are not in the US, and this adding ounces could get prolonged and thorny, and it implies (to me) a cultural bias or parochialism (not that I am accusing you of bad intentions) --Smokefoot (talk) 01:03, 29 July 2018 (UTC)
- @Smokefoot: It appears the "People of the United States" hold the trademark for "American" https://en.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/american There are many instances in Wikipedia where American units are used in conjunction with metric units.
{{Infobox football biography}}
will automatically converts height to both units. - Personally, I despise "
EnglishAmerican units". Maybe Wikipedia should ban them altogether. I work in a science industry where all the specifications are given to me in metric units and the result needs to be in metric units. The people I give my designs to use American units and American unit tooling. So I have to deal with all of that. I got a tape measure which is calibrated in metric on one side and that other measuring system on the other. Nifty idea! However when I use it, I usually have to use both sides of the tape to take a measurement. So, I have a list of numbers in both units and have to convert it later. Then there is the likes of Gimli Glider and such. Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 04:11, 29 July 2018 (UTC) - Just a note: I'm not sure if it can cover most cases, but {{Convert}} also allows to automatically convert units. —PaleoNeonate – 07:04, 29 July 2018 (UTC)
- @PaleoNeonate: like 400 metres (1,300 ft)? Gee, works! Wait a minute, meters is spelled out, feet is abbreviated. That's anti-American! Say, what's the unit code for attoparsec? Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 08:01, 29 July 2018 (UTC)
- Hi Jim, sorry to have hit a nerve, but my question is not really about our personal feelings or anything like that, I was looking for policy. So is it Wikipedia policy that guides your inserting the "convert" code or is it your own idea or what is going on here? Thanks for reponding.--Smokefoot (talk) 13:05, 29 July 2018 (UTC)
- @Smokefoot: MOS:CONVERSIONS, but recommendations are somewhat subjective. It's a science-related article, but the topic is in an area that a person w/o a science background would be interested in. - @Smokefoot: I may be nuts, but not insane enough to add them to every article. Well, maybe you know me... (could write a bot to do it. )
- I noticed late last night that an anon added the hazards template to ethanol here, but inadvertently seems to have referenced and copied data from a calcium hydroxide reference NIOSH Pocket Guide to Chemical Hazards. "#0092". National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). for the PEL limits. I tagged it with a non in citation. I'm overwhelmed at the moment. Trying to figure out what to do with talk:List of colors Jim1138 (talk) 17:10, 29 July 2018 (UTC)
- @Smokefoot: People keep changing the NPAP 704 NFPA-H = parameter on CO2, ethanol and methanol. Even with the citation nearby and comment on methanol. Sometimes they even delete the source or reference a photo I was thinking of hiding the value between two comments so that the editor might actually read the comment. Jim1138 (talk) 17:18, 29 July 2018 (UTC)
- I never read or edit hazard info. I dont understand them, and such information is not of interest to me. Fortunately some colleagues to monitor that info, which are targets of vandalism. I guess one of these days, information in the chemical databoxes will be locked more securely than is done presently. If you see a recurring issue, leave a note at the chemistry project.--Smokefoot (talk) 17:28, 29 July 2018 (UTC)

If you feel it should be removed, be my guest. You didn't hit a nerve, except maybe my rant nerve. Sorry... Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 16:08, 29 July 2018 (UTC)
- @Smokefoot: It appears the "People of the United States" hold the trademark for "American" https://en.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/american There are many instances in Wikipedia where American units are used in conjunction with metric units.

Hi Jim,
I am new to Wikipedia editing. Actually I just corrected the randomness of the information. And also removed the some misleading information. Ranjeet.singh (talk) 06:24, 3 August 2018 (UTC)

Edits to Steve Gottwalt
@Jim1138: 97.88.37.178 (talk) 06:54, 3 August 2018 (UTC) I am Steve Gottwalt. It was brought to my attention that the Wikipedia information posted for my name was both inaccurate in several instances, and subjective in posting negative information without balancing it with accurate and positive information. I am a candidate for public office, and such inaccuracies and subjective changes by unkown parties are damaging to me personally and my candidacy. I am a journalist by training and profession and would appreciate being allowed to correct my profile on Wikipedia. Thank you. Steve Gottwalt 97.88.37.178 (talk) 06:54, 3 August 2018 (UTC)

World Financial Center has changed it's name to Brookfield Place.
Hi. It is public record that World Financial Center has changed it's name to Brookfield Place. That is where American Express headquarters is. So my change, was correct. Please advise why you feel otherwise. My cite below:

Mamamoo Blackface Incident
Hi Mr. Jim,
I was wondering if it would be possible to edit the Mamamoo page to remove this particular bit about their Blackface incident. Many edits have been made by anonymous users to remove that bit from Mamamoo's career section for the following reasons (as stated in other wiki forum talks)
- the incident held no relevance to their propularity, unlike the bullying scandal with T-ara - there are many other kpop groups who have done problematic actions out of ignorance or cultural differences such as GD and BTS - the pages of idols does not mention such incidences. - the Mamamoo page would set a precendent that we should follow and thus, post the history of other groups. - following that line of thought, it could possibly open floodgates of fans complaining and mass editing the wiki pages of their idols.
Please respond with your thoughts on this. Jenmoo (talk) 07:44, 4 August 2018 (UTC)

Hurricane Harvey relief edit
I made the modification to delete the Antifa relief efforts. I was there on the ground and saw no relief efforts actually completed by anarchists or antifa. They just blogged, staged a few photos after the immediate need had long passed and complained about other groups. In fact they mad threats to other groups for their activities. The item cited was an interview where they talked about relief but no proof was given. This should not be included. If it is then there should also be the inclusion of the various milita groups and motorcycle clubs doing relief, of which there was significant more evidence for.50.224.251.254 (talk) 16:41, 4 August 2018 (UTC)
- There are other sources which state that Antifa was involved. Houston is a rather large place, assuming that they were not there is wp:original research. Please do add other groups that supported relief efforts - but do wp:cite a wp:reliable source. Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 19:18, 4 August 2018 (UTC)

@Jim1138: @Abelmoschus Esculentus: @Heolkpop: Hi, my name is (talk page stalker). Just to explain some more, as I have insight from both sides:
- "I think something went out on July 16-18, the daily page views soared from 1500 to 5000" – Mamamoo had a comeback on July 16
- About the influx of inexperienced users:
- Searching Mamamoo's article on Wikipedia apparently increases Billboard social ranking, so people have been told to do that on social media.
- And yes, probably a bit of meat puppetry.
- Why users are fighting like this (from my own observation):
- In international fandom circles it's a sensitive issue. Cultural mishaps like these are not uncommon in k-pop, but Mamamoo has gotten a disproportionate negative response, believed by some to have been caused sadly by the fans and Mamamoo acknowledging the issue and releasing an apology instead of sweeping it under the rug, like is usually done. It's the right thing to do, but once you do it, your incident suddenly becomes "verifiable" and this allows reputable sources to write about it, and subsequently even have it added on Wikipedia *cough*, which (rightfully) creates a feeling of unfairness.
- The Twitter fans have little understanding of how Wikipedia operates and are used to fandom tribalism and fanwars on social media. A Big Bang fan (a group which has had multiple blackface controversies) decided to include the controversy, despite including none of theirs on the Big Bang page (on which they have major contribution) so some have seen it as an "attack" on the "tribe". They also mistake editors like you as anti-fans putting the controversy back in.
- The incident barely registered in Korean media, which is why most fans' reactions are confusion as to why it is even included. The verifiability almost exclusively stems from American media and American fandom is a very small island compared to the Korean, which is why many regard it as unimportant and don't feel like the inclusion of this on a Korean artist's page is worthwhile.
- A side question: I myself am a little undecided on this, as I'm not as experienced with Wikipedia, so I wanted to ask: Is English wikipedia meant to be written with an emphasis on English/western-related information and sources?
To sum it up, I believe most of the users to be in good faith, but with little understanding of how Wikipedia operates and the other ills as I've described. I have no idea if this issue will ever fully go away. Mast3r (talk) 17:30, 6 August 2018 (UTC)

Why rollback?
Can you explain your rationale for using rollback here? The IP's edit appears to clarify (and potentially correct) the article text, in line with the contents of the supporting source. TenOfAllTrades(talk) 14:58, 9 August 2018 (UTC)
As well, if you're going to make a bunch of edits using semi-automated tools and boilerplate edit summaries, make sure that the edit summaries you're using actually apply to the situation at hand.
For example, this revert doesn't actually involve restoring an "unexplained content removal". (It does bring the page closer to, but not quite into, compliance with Talk:Gdańsk/Vote and Template:Gdansk-Vote-Notice. Ideally mentions of Danzig in text should also refer to Gdansk – and vice versa – at the first instance of use.)
Similarly, this revert doesn't restore "unexplained content removal"; it undoes what looks to have been a fairly extensive tidying and organization of the article. A glance at the before-and-after suggests that the IP made a significant improvement. While you may not like that the IP user didn't leave descriptive edit summaries, that's no reason to undo their work or leave a templated warning message on their user page. TenOfAllTrades(talk) 15:16, 9 August 2018 (UTC)
- The first rollback was obviously an error on my part. I appear to have misread the edit.
- The second, the editor removed Danzig and replaced it with Gdansk and left no edit summary. Therefore "unexplained removal"
- The third was also an error on my part. The first level templates are good faith messages and are not warnings.
- None of these were performed in bad faith or anger that I am aware of. I probably reviewed several thousand edits and reverted and warned a hundred or so. It is hard to recall the rationalization behind them.
- Did you really go through 300 of my edits to find these? Why don't you join the wp:RCP group? Many of the problems here are simply that there is way to much vandalism and too few people checking the edits. If there were more people checking, more time could be spent reviewing and fewer mistakes would be made. Thanks for you message. Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 09:49, 10 August 2018 (UTC)
- I am concerned, given how much use you make of semi-automated editing tools, that you may not be fully aware of the generally-understood meaning of some of the edit summaries that you're using (especially "unexplained content removal"). Changing a city name to an alternate form isn't removing content. In your haste to find and revert vandalism you aren't looking very carefully at the context of the reverts you're making, nor are you considering the effect of rapid, poorly-explained reverts and templated warning messages on recruiting potential new editors.
- For all their cheery good-faith tone, the level 1 warnings are still warnings. They tell a new user: You did something wrong; don't do it again; someone else has already erased your contribution. However mild their wording, they're a blunt introduction to Wikipedia for someone who has just made their first good-faith edit(s). People without registered accounts are still people.
- And nope; I didn't check hundreds of your diffs. I popped open your last 500 contribs – my usual habit when I'm trying to get a sense of another editor's experience and activity level – and looked at a handful of diffs. That's why I'm posting here on your talk page—I didn't have to look at very many diffs to find ones that concerned me. There were other problematic reverts that I didn't list here. Take this revert; you restored the inaccurate claim that an unaffiliated perpetual candidate was the official Republican candidate for a U.S. House seat—something you could have fact-checked immediately if you had clicked through to the reference right next to the name (or glanced at the candidate's own Wikipedia article). No, the original edit didn't use an edit summary, but that doesn't obviate the need for you to take care with a BLP issue.
- Instead, you're taking a new editor's failure to use an edit summary as carte blanche to revert any edit that you don't understand within a few seconds, slapping on a righteous "unexplained content removal". If you want to patrol recent changes at that pace, that's fine—but if you're going to do that, limit yourself to reverting clear-cut vandalism. You do a very extensive, thorough, and enthusiastic job patrolling for vandalism, and I don't want to understate how appreciated and valuable that is. For more nuanced edits, though, you're not giving yourself enough time to look at context, and it's causing you to make mistakes. TenOfAllTrades(talk) 13:43, 10 August 2018 (UTC)
- I sometimes find selecting the 'optimum' reason/template a bit difficult. I do occasionally write my own messages. If you don't like the tone of the templates, which I would tend to agree with, perhaps you should suggest that they be reworded?
- I doubt that Special:Contributions/82.146.86.49 is a new editor. I see that Noncommittalp removed it too and left an ES. Maybe 82.146.86.49 will learn something to leave an ES? Why should I check sources when 82.146.86.49, who has the info at their fingertips won't be bothered to leave an ES?
- Is removing one thing and replacing it with another not "unexplained removal"? That seems the best description of the action. It also prompts the editor to leave an ES.
- Again, much of it is the rate of vandalism, unexplained, and unsourced edits that occurs on Wikipedia. I would love it if there was more time to review edits. When Huggle's cue has a backlog of diffs of obvious vandalism that have not been reviewed, it strongly suggests insufficient RCPing. Why don't you join the wp:RCP team? Or, perhaps recruit others for RCP?
- Drmies, what do you think of all this? Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 19:28, 10 August 2018 (UTC)
- "Why should I check sources when 82.146.86.49, who has the info at their fingertips won't be bothered to leave an ES?"
- Why, indeed. Perhaps...
- ...because you'd like to think you're a better editor, and doing that sort of due diligence will help to support that?
- ...because you, too, had the info at your fingertips, if only you'd clicked on one link?
- ...because your revert resulted in the addition of incorrect WP:BLP-governed content to a Wikipedia article, and you recognize that you assume some responsibility when you do that?
- ...because sometimes you make edits with inaccurate, lazy, automated edit summaries – sometimes several times a day – and you hope that other editors will treat your good-faith attempts to help with a little bit of thought, instead of a rollback and template?
- Do any of those work for you? TenOfAllTrades(talk) 19:53, 10 August 2018 (UTC)
- I agree with your assessment and the ideal solution. Given the editing rate of over 100 edits per minute, the high-vandalism rate of edits, and the insufficient RCP team, I don't see it as practical. Ideally, there would not need to be tools such as wp:Huggle. I would like to see your ideas to be the norm. Cheers Jim1138 (talk) 01:52, 11 August 2018 (UTC)

I received your message.
The information that was removed from Ilaro Court was not a mistake. Indeed I created this article a few years ago but could not remember the login for my previous account, that is why it has not be edited in any significant way in recent times.
I removed the information because it was not relevant any more, in one instance and in another instance, it sounded better to reword the entire sentence. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MikeA7772 (talk • contribs) 05:13, 13 August 2018 (UTC)

Renaud Camus deletions and edits
I understand why my edits have been flagged, but I made them thoughtfully and for good purpose. I have edited the article on Renaud Camus to remove unnecessary, poorly sourced material and to reword biased material. The article went into extraneous detail to such an extent that it is difficult to read. The article was also previously loaded with wording that attempts to bias the reader into thinking about Renaud Camus in a certain way, namely as a "normal" intellectual, when in fact he is widely considered to be a preacher of hate.

About the edit in "Effects of Global warming"
When I write all this information about the heatwave in 2018 before 2 or 3 days, there was some plaint that this is a summary article and there is an exess of information. So i preferred to give in thise page more short end "summary" information and the more detailed information copy to the page "heat wave" to a special section that I created "Climate Change and Heat waves". You can see it here:

I think it better like this so please returne my edit to his place. I would try to explain my edits next time. אלכסנדר סעודה (talk) 07:48, 16 August 2018 (UTC)

Michael Alford
Hi Jim,
I am Michael Alford's wife and media manager. I'm trying to update his wiki, which is way out of date. I'm moving material around from his id to his bio and career sections and trying to update the references. I'm trying to add an image but am being told the image (a photo of Michael) is not acceptable. I am being blocked from updating his wiki, which is way out of date. Many of the references are exactlu the same as before, with the material they refer to just appearing in a different section. How can I get around this? Thanks for your help. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Memphismurdoch (talk • contribs) 10:36, 16 August 2018 (UTC)
