Speedy deletion nomination of Disability (band)

[edit]

Hello Jgocobachi,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Disability (band) for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

Message delivered via the Page Curation tool, on behalf of the reviewer.

Your draft article, Draft:Jgocobachi

[edit]

Hello, Jgocobachi. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Jgocobachi".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Disability (band) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band or musician that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Why do you keep deleting information? What is the point of Wikipedia as a medium to promote something that is not damaging or hurting anyone?

[edit]

Are you kidding me? Why do you keep deleting this useful information? The musicians on the album are on there and the band that I want to credit (Disability) is a band I was in. This info added is not referencing known artist, musician, and musical ensemble at all. I would recommend you do a search on the names and let me know if you come up with any reference. Your policies are too draconian and it really pisses me off that you have nothing else better to do than to interrupt the medium of which I have the right to express and inform the public about details of a small band. It's not like I am referencing Brad Pitt, The Rock, or any other public figure. You guys need to get your heads out of your arses!

I will publish this information regardless... It will be on another alternative to Wikipedia. You guys are living in the stone age... I use to contribute money for the cause, but since my experience with this, I am going stay clear from Wikipedia and start promoting the other public information channels available to the world. Not too sure how much longer Wikipedia will be around and what relevance it's going to have moving forward. It's pretty pathetic to say the least, that your reasons and definitions on why I am not allowed to publish useful and historic information.
Notice

The article Disability (band) has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

As of this writing, the page is just a rant.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Managing a conflict of interest

[edit]

Information icon Hello, Jgocobachi. Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:

  • avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;

  • disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
  • avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
  • do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.

In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.

Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. You should not be writing about a band you were in, and anything added to Wikipedia is expected to be supported by reliable sources. This is not the place to tell your band's story. creffett (talk) 15:19, 25 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
