User talk:Jessica76cap
Welcome!
[edit]Hello, Jessica76cap, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.
I noticed that one of the first articles you edited was SeventySix Capital, which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.
To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or another editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.
One rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)
In addition, you must disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation (see WP:PAID).

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{Help me}}
before the question. Again, welcome! MereTechnicality ⚙ 21:40, 21 February 2017 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of SeventySix Capital
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on SeventySix Capital, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Request reason:
I made the requested revisions and then was blocked. Please explain what I can do to fix this and publish a factual article. Jessica76cap (talk) 16:19, 22 February 2017 (UTC)
Decline reason:
Clear violations of WP:PROMO and WP:COI, probable violations of WP:SOCK and WP:PAID. Yamla (talk) 16:26, 22 February 2017 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:
Responding to Decline reason: Clear violations of WP:PROMO [All of the content I wrote is factual and not opinion whatsoever. I cited sources and spoke without any use of colorful language.] and WP:COI [How do you avoid COI while writing about something you're knowledgeable about?], probable violations of WP:SOCK [This is incorrect. I am new to Wikipedia and this is a new account, not sock puppetry..] and WP:PAID [I am NOT being paid to contribute to Wikipedia]
Decline reason:
Procedural decline. Please only post one unblock request at a time. Optimist on the run (talk) 16:57, 22 February 2017 (UTC)

- Let's see. The article was very promotional (before copyediting). You clearly have a COI, 76CAP is in your name. No comment on sockpuppetry or paid editing. MereTechnicality ⚙ 16:35, 22 February 2017 (UTC)
Responding to Unblock request

Request reason:
"Let's see. The article was very promotional (before copyediting). You clearly have a COI, 76CAP is in your name. No comment on sockpuppetry or paid editing. MereTechnicality ⚙ 16:35, 22 February 2017 (UTC)" The article was fact - non-promotional. If a business was sold, it was sold, and I provided proof. Nothing stated could not be backed up by evidence. If COI is representing the firm, do I have to hire someone who doesn't know us to research us and write about the firm? Wouldn't that then be PAID and also a COI? Can anyone just tell me what exactly in the text was considered "PROMO"? I will remove everything you find objectionable, I just want to post the facts here. None of this is easy to navigate.
Decline reason:
Since you have declared that you intend to carry on editing the articles that got you blocked in the first place, and have shown no evidence that you have understood WP:COI, I am firmly of the opinion that it is not in Wikipedia's interest to unblock you. - If you were to be unblocked, what articles do you intend to edit or create? Optimist on the run (talk) 17:02, 22 February 2017 (UTC)
- I am hoping to create new pages for SeventySix Capital, Wayne Kimmel, and eventually Jon Powell. User:Jessica76cap
- Just as a comment, those pages have now been locked so articles on those titles cannot be created except by trusted contributors. Please don't bother to waste your money hiring anyone to try re-creating them. Blythwood (talk) 18:03, 22 February 2017 (UTC)
You also can comment here without submitting a new unblock request. Just hit "Edit" near the top left. MereTechnicality ⚙ 18:11, 22 February 2017 (UTC)
This has been incredibly unclear.. can anyone help by telling me what specifically in the articles are not objective fact? How can I get them published since they are now locked?
