Congratulations. Here are what pass for words of wisdom from the puppy:
  1. Remember you will always protect the wrong version.
  2. Remember you must always follow the rules, except for when you ignore them. You will always pick the wrong one to do. (See #5)
  3. Remember to assume good faith and not bite. Remember that when you are applying these principles most diligently, you are probably dealing with a troll.
  4. Use the block ability sparingly. Enjoy the insults you receive when you do block.
  5. Remember when you make these errors, someone will be more than happy to point them out to you in dazzling clarity and descriptive terminology.
  6. and finally, Remember to contact me if you ever need assistance, and I will do what I am able.

You were the admin who closed this discussion, and I am interested to know why Nandini was kept. It certainly looked to me like there was a consensus to delete it? It is half way inbetween a disambiguation page and an article- effectively, it is an article about two things that do not quite deserve articles of their own, and, as far as I am aware, there is no policy allowing such things. Peru Edits

[edit]

User:Jersey Devil, thank you for your intervention, which I respect, although I disagree with your editorial actions, which in my estimation do not adequately reflect the historical record regarding political events in Peru (1980-2007). Your editorial intervention is discouraging, particularly in light of your removal of credible information about recent attacks on the freedom of expression in Peru. I encourage readers to review your claims regarding my conduct on Wikpdeia, specifically the exchanges I have had with User:Messhermit on Peru related issues. Regards, User:Bdean1963. 00:37, 4 February, 2007 (UTC)

Take note that I only reverted in order to maintain the article as it was before the contributions of yourself and Messhermit.--Jersey Devil 00:38, 4 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am a person that doesn't like to create troubles for others. I must say that I have done everything to solve this in a civilized way, and I'm sorry to read that you might have to use your powers as an Administrator to radically solve this at some point. For me, this issue is settle once User:Bdean1963 understands once and for all that Wikipedia is neither a political forum nor a place to promote his POV. If User:Bdean1963 doesn't end his political persecution against certain political actors of the Peruvian society here in Wikipedia or modifying its history, I'm afraid that he is going to keep on going over and over again. In my case, rest assure that I'll keep avoiding troubles. Messhermit 00:55, 4 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

That's great. I'm all for it. On the other hand I think I already put a request under the "History & Geography" with no results. If you can get the RFC running, then that's good. Messhermit 01:17, 4 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You might want to see this [1], another clear attempt of User:Bdean1963 to push his POV. Is this the kind of attitude that I have (and many here in Wikipedia) have to tolerate from this person? I'm deeply concerned that he is actually trying to use Wikipedia to promote himself and his political views. Since he was not able to portray his bias in the article of Peru, he is now doing it in the main article Alberto Fujimori. In my opinion, he should be banned from editing that page, since its more than clear that he is obsessed with the former Peruvian President. Messhermit 04:00, 4 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I am pleased that User:Messhermit is willing to resolve editing disputes regarding Peru related essays. Civil discourse is preferable to the tyranny of intolerant ignorance. I am perplexed by User:Messhermit's refusal to abide by his own words ("In my case, rest assure that I'll keep avoiding troubles" 4 February 2007), as he has just reverted a recent edit I made to the history of Peru section. I look forward to your constructive engagement in the pursuit of knowledge. User:Bdean1963 4 February 2007

I have no complains for your actions. In fact, Jersey Devil, I knew that this was going to happen, but I couldn't just let User:Bdean1963 doing whatever he wants. Thanks for you quick respond and in this particular case, the way that you handled this issue. Now that I'm unblocked, I'm looking forward to work with you in the RFC in the articles of War of the Pacific and Tacna Region. Messhermit 21:38, 5 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
By the way, both War of the Pacific and Tacna Region are unblocked. Would you kindly revert them to the original state before the Rv "War"? Messhermit 21:54, 5 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't mean to offend you when I asked you to restore the original article. I simply wanted to avoid another pointless confrontation with User:Bdean1963. Regarding the "Talk Page", I have already made several contributions in both articles' "Talk Page", and I'm still waiting a response form him. You can review it, and see that I'm not getting a response. I already did my part, and I don't know what else to do now. Regarding that Mediation, I was not even aware that he put that: He simply didn't told me about it. Messhermit 02:14, 6 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
You might want to see this: [2], I'm away from my computer for 3 days and apparentlyUser:Bdean1963 is once again doing what he wants. Messhermit 04:18, 12 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

In the dispassionate interest of the advancement of knowledge free from censorship, I respectfully request that User:Messhermit reverts recent edits I have made on the War of the Pacific to accommodate alternative yet balanced points of view to reflect the historical record. Messhermit, Bdean, et. al.

[edit]

You might want to keep your eye on List of Presidents of Peru, which appears ripe for some major Peru-related flare up between those two. I leave this message on your talk page not to get either of them in "trouble" or whatever with an admin, but because both of them seem to respect you, and you obviously have a great knowledge of Peru-related matters. Hopefully, we can avoid having these toxic relationships spill over into too many articles. --Descendall 17:38, 17 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not so sure that I would have blocked them, to be honest with you. Messhermit seemed to willing to adopt a respectful tone on the talk page, and Bdean just showed up to the page recently and only added cited material. In any event, Messhermit seems to think that his block was justified (he said that he "can't complain"), and if he can't complain, than neither can I. However, Bdean has asked to be unblocked, and I think that you should at least seriously consider it. You know the rules much better than I do, but I'm not so sure he broke any in this case. --Descendall 05:26, 18 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Well, you know the deal better than I do. I'm just looking to come to some sort of consensus on the whole fax thing on List of Peruvian Presidents. Guess we'll have to wait 48 hours. --Descendall 05:54, 18 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I saw you added the anons template yesterday, and the admin who said he would keep an eye on proceedings is on a short wikibreak at present. The anon IP editor (who's also editing as 'Seisal' [3]) has just made this rather dubious edit. Thanks. One Night In Hackney 19:37, 17 February 2007 (UTC) Ignore me, I thought a !vote had been removed, but on second glance my eyes deceived me. One Night In Hackney 19:46, 17 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks but no thanks

[edit]

Please keep your "warnings" to yourself from now on. I have a right to make good faith edits without having it unilateral reverted by a single over-zealous editor. At least be fair in your "warnings" and give the instigator the same warning to at least give off the perception of objectivity for goodness sakes.Melonbarmonster 04:03, 21 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah that's quite laughable. You need to count correctly and learn how to use the history page correctly. As the instigator of the revert the other guy would have to violate the 3rr before I would be faced the the decision of passing the 3 mark. Please take your POV crap elsewhere.Melonbarmonster 13:08, 21 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, you should note that he has now removed the block templates that both of us added for our respective blocks against him and has called your block "ridiculous". [4]--Jersey Devil 18:59, 23 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Respondi en su talkpage. Seguire sus contribuciones. -- FayssalF - Wiki me up ® 19:13, 23 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Look, you were outright wrong about your initial block. THe anonymous editor was reverting my and other people's edits and would have been the first person to violate the revert rule. He has already violated the 3RR a long time ago. For reasons you still haven't explained, you didn't even warn the other user and only gave a warning to me. It's hard to take your "warning" seriously when you're not addressing these issues. And not only are you refusing to give me a response about this but you placed a block on my page and dragging this out. When I couldn't get you to respond to my comments on my page and I was precluded from leaving comments on your talk page, the only way I could protest your illogical and inexplicable "warning" and "block" was by deleted your edits on my talk page. Please don't drag this out any longer with the page protection.Melonbarmonster 21:22, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:National Review Cover.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Current Peru Collaboration Effort
The current collaboration is:

Pedro Pablo Kuczynski, was the President of Peru and the leader of the Peruanos For el Kambio faction. Being a product of the United States in terms of education and work, Kuczynski ran unsuccessfully in 2011 for the presidency, but later vectored in the 2016 general election in Peru over Keiko Fujimori, daughter of the political patriarch of Fujimorism, Alberto Fujimori. Kuczynski's term began in 2016 and ended in March of 2018 with a corruption scandal that involved Brazilian infrastructure company Odebrecht. He promptly resigned and his Vice president Martin Vizcarra would succeeded him to be the President of Peru.

Question: New Series Doctor Who Action Figures

[edit]

Please could you explain why my page was deleted without any contact.

My article was to improve the knowledge of a very popular show's action figure merchandise in the UK which has so much information connected to it.

I was trying to achieve a simular artical as this http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Star_Wars_figures (just 1 example), which once again mentions the company and its range.

Best Regards and thank you for your time

I think that you were overly hasty in dismissing my complaint against SlimVirgin

[edit]

I must confess that I find it difficult to believe that SlimVirgin simply had the urge to archive the talk page at the point where I was attempting, with no cooperation from her, to ascertain her reasons for some of her actions. She deleted material that was sourced to Public Information Research, but was vague about her rationale. I asked her three times to explain: the first time diff, question #2 she evaded the question. The second time diff, question #4 she pretended that she thought I was speaking of a different organization. The third time diff, question #4 she didn't respond at all, but simply blanked the page and archived it. These are legitimate questions, related to disputes about the suitability of sources under WP:BLP, and I don't see how SlimVirgin's responses, or non-responses, can be seen as anything other than evasion. Her charges of wikilawyering and baiting are a red herring, as is the inevitable Poisoning the well ("Tsunami Butler seems to be a follower of Lyndon LaRouche,") and her deadpan dismissal of any issues concerning the excessive self-citing of Dking and Cberlet is a bluff. -Tsunami Butler 22:51, 13 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

JustaHulk

[edit]

Hi. Would you mind please unblocking User:JustaHulk. He was created about 10 days ago just to fool around with User:Bishzilla and has not edited anywhere but her pages and his own. That Smee followed him home to start a fight is Smee's problem, not his. He is an allowable and clearly labeled alternate account so deserves to be unblocked. Thanks. --Justanother 03:43, 18 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • Your decision should stand. This is an inappropriate usage of a WP:SOCK account, as you have already stated previously. Smee 03:54, 18 March 2007 (UTC).[reply]
    • And now he is following me over here to pick another fight. Oh well. Business as usual --Justanother 03:59, 18 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
      • Stating a comment is not "picking a fight". More inappropriateness and disregard for the policies you have cited in your block of this user... At any rate, disregarding the user's commentary, I will take this page off of my watchlist as well - so as not to be drawn/baited into any sort of back and forth with this user. If anything develops with this, I would be interested to hear of it. Thank you for your time. Yours, Smee 04:03, 18 March 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Advice on Civility and Personal Attacks

[edit]

Issue 1: Hi, I understand you are Admin. I am sort of new to Wikipedia. I have been in a dispute with Tilman and Smee. I took it to informal mediation, but that did not work. Instead of discussing issues with me on my talk page, they publically reprimand me, they accuse me of of bad faith acts like "lying by ommission," and attakc the reputations of my RSs. I am at wits end about what to do. This is at a formal compaint about Tilman and Smee. I argued with them at first when I did not know any better, but since learning more about civility, I have replied to Tilman and Smee several times about civility. They persist in making public accusations of bad faith acts I have allegedly committed. My short time as a member of Wikipedia is not a good experience

Issue 2: I also asked for a mentor a week ago and no one got back to me yet.

I need these two issues resolved before I go bonkers. ThanksJohn196920022001 06:42, 18 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nevermind! I just read what to do further to resolve a dispute. I guess complaining to an admin is not the thing to do. Sorry to bother you John196920022001 04:29, 19 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I just posted a comment to the Admin Noticeboard and then found your message to me. lol! My issue is with Tilman, and is related to the smee issue listed on the Admin noticeboard. Smee picking a fight?

[edit]

While Smee did not exactly follow me to another article, he did follow me to a exchange I was having with another editor to accuse me here of WP:BITE of an editor that, from his post and his contrib history is clearly not a newcomer nor was my remark a bite, simply a bit of sarcasm for sarcasm. But not even that really, mainly a refutation of a specious argument. And I see yet another editor, User:Sm1969 experiencing trouble with Smee's relentless edit-warring and 3RR violations. See User talk:Sm1969#Reply, WP:AN3 (2 reports on Smee), User talk:Smee (two reports of 3RR and unfriendly responses from Smee). Now I see Smee has removed my response that his "warning" was uncalled for and that he had been warned about picking a fight with me.[6] I got my 24-hour block . . . . . --Justanother 17:01, 21 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

And here, accusing another editor and myself of conspiring. I also think that he is trying to sow discord between us because, in his mind, Scientologists must hate EST people and vice versa, but that is a bit of mind-reading on my part. [edit]

Please see the edit history of these two articles [7] and [8] starting with my edits today and my comment below as posted in article talk which sums up my problem. And it is a problem. Now I cannot even go to a completely uninvolved article and make good edits without instant reversion and subsequent edit-warring by Smee. And this is just after I thought that Smee and I had come to some sort of agreement with Smee promising to reform. Just more of the usual smoke and mirrors on her part, I guess.

Ms. Smee. I am obviously angry that you followed me over to these articles to edit-war and fight with me. I think that it would have shown good grace and good faith on your part had you simply let my edits stand. You should have just waited; not raced over here because I made an edit. That is abusive. I do not care how many articles you have on your watchlist. The point is that these two are not articles that you have any real history in; I made an edits; you raced over to revert them. This is about you, Ms. Smee, not me and I think I have done an admirable job of controlling my anger and simply stating the offenses in the edit summaries for ease of locating them later. --Justanother 18:14, 23 March 2007 (UTC)

Please help. Thanks. --Justanother 18:24, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Monchy y Alejandra edit - Thanks

[edit]

MyA was the first article I ever worked on, so it's still on my watchlist. Just wanted to say thanks for the edits you made today; there are some articles that just beg to be "neutralized" yet are beyond my own limits, which makes it cheering for me to see someone fix them up in the way that they need. I don't know how to appropriately nominate this article for deletion.

[edit]

Hello! I saw your name a lot on the deletion log and thought you might be able to help me.

The article Industrial Jungle Pussy Punk is very poorly written, uncited, and overral non-notable. Problem is, I'm a newb and don't know if that's good enough to nominate the article for deletion and if so, exactly how to appropriately tag it. When you have an opportunity, would you be so kind as to look at it and provide some guidance?

Much appreciated. ZachPG 22:30, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your help, the links provided were and, one can only imagine, will continue to be very useful. ZachPG 22:47, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I don't think the anon actually did violate WP:3RR. His latest edit (diff) wasn't reinserting the same controvertial information. --Miskwito 01:55, 25 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oh wait. Now I'm looking at his edits again and I'm just getting confused... Sorry. --Miskwito 01:57, 25 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
No, it was a 3rr violation. Here are the reverts. [9] [10] [11] [12] Usually we administrators also give warnings before any 3rr block, but if you look at the history of the Spanish language page you'll see that this user has been coming back on and off on different IPs for some time now adding this without regard to discussion on the talk page.--Jersey Devil 02:04, 25 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Okay, thanks. Missed that. --Miskwito 02:10, 25 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry; that was out of line. I was just getting a little impatient with people making changes to the infobox without discussing it on the talk page first (this sort of thing had happened a few times recently, even though a discussion was taking place on the talk page). -- Cielomobile talk / contribs 18:36, 25 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You unprotected the article, and then added the {{protected}} template. Just trying to help you here :) —Disavian (talk/contribs) 14:42, 27 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

My RfA

[edit]
  • Thanks for the support position. However, I've decided to withdraw my acceptance because of real WP:CIVIL concerns. I will try again later when I've proven to myself and others that my anger will no longer interfere with my abilities as a Wikipedia editor. Thanks again, and I'll see you around here shortly. :) JuJube 04:19, 1 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

"Nonsense"?

[edit]

Its a talk page about a fictional holiday that no one cares about. Surely talk about Opposite Day shouldn't be deleted like this. --Defender 911 12:57, 4 April 2007 (UTC) P.S. Thank you so much for DELETING EVERYTHING I'VE DONE! --Defender 911 21:26, 16 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Block on Bosniak

[edit]

Hello Jersey Devil

Bosniak has asked me to point out to you that your block on him is due to the fact that he moved earlier on this week and his internet access hasn't been reinstated yet and won't be until tomorrow at the earliest, so in the meanwhile he's using wireless access which is the reason for the different ISP numbers. He is not engaging in any untoward practices. I can confirm that he told me previously about this situation. --Opbeith 21:30, 6 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry, that seems to have been a different block. I'm not clear what's happened this time. Thanks for checking anyway. --Opbeith 09:35, 7 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

He made legitimate edits. Why was he banned? This is just ridicolous. Mozart Amadeus Wolfgang 20:49, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Felicia Peacock

[edit]

Alright so first of all Zackary Lane Castle is my best friend. And second of all i was just trying to make a page about me before I die...everybody needs to feel special...I mean it would it kill you to let me have my own page. I may not understand how all this works but I am willing to listen granted your approach is different. so the next time I need to hear some bigshot wikipedia wannabe make me feel like i'm 5...I'll let you know. Normally I would apologize for being this blunt but, lately things are lookin' so good. So have an uber-awesome day! —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Feliciapeacock (talkcontribs) 06:28, 8 April 2007 (UTC).[reply]

Srebrenica Massacre, 2x

[edit]

There is a second article about Srebrenica Massacre, with identical (almost the same - repeated - information). How do I recommend such article for a speedy deletion? This is the article http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Mass_executions_in_the_Srebrenica_massacre and the information is copied from here Srebrenica Massacre.Mozart Amadeus Wolfgang 02:32, 11 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please read the discussion page of the main Srebrenica Massacre article and you will see that the above mentioned article is part of a current effort to make the main article more concise and in compliance with wiki guidelines regarding article lenght. I suggest directing further inquiry to User: Opbeith and User:Djma12. Fairview360 13:27, 11 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Imus/Rutgers Contraversy

[edit]

Hi, Jersey Devil. I was wondering how big the scale of the Imus controversy was on campus. I have this feeling, that the press may hound people who are currently editing Wikipedia and who are attending Rutgers University for a reaction to the case. Anyway, I am watching the page of Imus in the Morning, and I am tempted to add this link as a response to the firestorm. What do you think? Real96 07:55, 12 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Jeffree Star

[edit]

I noticed that this musical artist was playing a date in my city, so I looked on wikipedia and found that no page existed and that the page was protected. On http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Talk:Jeffree_star under the heading Notability I made a case for inclusion. Although in the past this person might not have met the guidelines of notability for inclusion on wikipedia, I think now they do. Dissolve 17:49, 16 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion Review: Lists of ZIP codes in the United States by state

[edit]

An editor has asked for a deletion review of Lists of ZIP codes in the United States by state. Since you closed the deletion discussion for this article or speedy-deleted it, you might want to participate in the deletion review. Krinsky 17:39, 22 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Nothing personal, Jersey Devil--I just think this belongs in a general reference work and fits Wikipedia guidelines, and a fair number of others seem to agree, so I disagree that there was a consensus for deletion. We should err on the side of not deleting this kind of thing. But thanks for your prompt response to my email. Krinsky 17:39, 22 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I indefblocked this account today for personal attacks / vandalism only. I just noticed now that they were obviously impersonating you. Just FYI - Alison 04:22, 23 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Good luck! Andy Mabbett 09:33, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Take a look at the change I made converting it to {{Dynamic navigation box with image}}. It probably needs some content updates as well, I think some of those ambassadors have new jobs. — MrDolomite • Talk 18:09, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

You made a mistake when you unblocked User:Fenian Swine. Administrators may block usernames which are offensive or otherwise inappropriate, without needing to defer to silly bureaucracy. Do not blindly follow what someone wrote up as "policy" over common sense and trusting others' good judgment. ~MDD4696 04:29, 29 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Harvard International Review.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Harvard International Review.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. (ESkog)(Talk) 15:42, 3 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]
