Your recent editing history at Tom Brady shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. Note: Calidum wanted the entire Deflategate article removed from Wikipedia. When he failed at getting the entire Deflategate article removed he tried to keep Deflategate out of the article for Tom Brady. Please note that by consensus Deflategate is now in the lead section of Tom Brady along with his four-game suspension. Jerry Stockton (talk) 19:07, 13 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Tom Brady and Deflategate

[edit]

Please see the discussion I've started at Talk:Tom_Brady#Deflategate_in_the_lede over what the lede for Brady's article should say about Deflategate. Tarl N. (discuss) 00:45, 16 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You should look at the Deflategate talk page.Ebw343 (talk) 07:28, 8 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Vinland still has settlement in the lead

[edit]

And then there's Helge Ingstad's article. His book is cited in the lead as though it was originally published in 2001 although the original version is 1991. This review is worth reading.[1] Quoting a bit, "Birgitta Wallace from Parks Canada has persuasively argued that the site was a transit station and ship repair site at the entrance to the region of Vinland, the southern and western reaches of the Gulf of St. Lawrence." Please be reminded that when consensus is reached on a talk page for an article, unless you can gain consensus for reverting that edit, you should not edit the article to fit your own POV. CordialGreenery (talk) 17:49, 21 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

There is no consensus for your point of view. Jerry Stockton (talk) 17:59, 21 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
If you were willing to use the talk page, you'd find that statement untrue.CordialGreenery (talk) 18:22, 21 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
If you read the talk page you would see that I posted there three times yesterday, and again, there is no concensus. Jerry Stockton (talk) 05:56, 22 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I am in the middle of repairing that page that was badly damaged by that comment that was incorrectly posted! Jerry Stockton (talk) 16:15, 22 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Would you please correct the damage you have done to that talk page that I was in the middle of correcting? Jerry Stockton (talk) 16:23, 22 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry for misinterpreting this, the lack of an edit summary was somewhat confusing. I think the problem might be in the templates originally used by User:Herostratus, but I can't see how or why. One way around it might be to try replacing the "hidden" templates with "collapse" templates. MPS1992 (talk) 16:50, 22 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I added the comment back as it seems that is what you want. Jerry Stockton (talk) 17:03, 22 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I just got rid of the "hidden" stuff, but some kind of formatting the references section seemed to be that actual problem... don't know what, cause it was working OK earlier. Whatever, sorry, fixed now. Herostratus (talk) 18:26, 22 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you. Jerry Stockton (talk) 18:28, 22 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
