Welcome
[edit]Welcome to Wikipedia. Take a look at the welcome page. To stay in Wikipedia, an article has to be about something notable, that is, of general interest. Click on Notability for an explanation of what that means, and on Notability (people) for more detail. Also, it must give independently verifiable sources. Articles that don't meet these requirements are likely to be deleted.
- For advice about creating articles, read the Introduction and the Guide to creating your first article.
- Writing articles about yourself, your band, your client, your boss or your best friend is strongly discouraged because of the conflict of interest involved.
- Wikipedia is not an advertising service. Before writing about your own organization, read FAQ/Organizations.
- For experiments, please use the sandbox.

Speedy deletion nomination of Jermel ladd
[edit]You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.
Thank you.
A tag has been placed on Jermel ladd requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. JohnCD (talk) 18:39, 29 October 2009 (UTC)

[edit]Hello Jermelladd. The nature of your edits, such as the one you made to Draft:Aliisa Rosenthal, gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being employed (or being compensated in any way) by a person, group, company or organization to promote their interests. Paid advocacy on Wikipedia must be disclosed even if you have not specifically been asked to edit Wikipedia. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Jermelladd. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Jermelladd|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. C F A 💬 18:01, 29 July 2024 (UTC)
- Hello CFA,
- Thank you for reaching out. I hope we can bring some clarity to this. To be clear, I am not being compensated, directly or indirectly, for my edits on Wikipedia, including those made to Draft:Aliisa Rosenthal. My contributions are entirely voluntary, with no financial interest involved.
- OpenAI is one of the most impactful companies in the world right now, set to transform the internet much like Wikipedia transformed access to information. Aliisa Rosenthal, as the head of sales at OpenAI, is an executive with a significant role, akin to Sam Altman, in shaping the future of AI. The leadership at OpenAI, including Mrs. Rosenthal, will inevitably have an impact on us all, as the technology is implemented across enterprises worldwide by the people working under Mrs. Rosenthal.
- Given her documented career and the notable sources covering her professional and personal life, I believe it’s important for the public to have access to information about her through Wikipedia. Parents of kids will want to know the kind of leadership at OpenAI when also considering rather or not to let their children use ChatGPT and other AI technology. With this in mind, I kindly ask you to reconsider the repeated flags on this page and allow it to be published. Jermelladd (talk) 03:46, 15 August 2024 (UTC)
