Welcome to my talk page! If you leave me a note here I will probably reply here, unless you specify otherwise or if important or if your a new user to Wikipedia I will place a talk back on your user page. If you came here to ask why I deleted (or took other action) on a specific page, please specify which article using [[article name]] somewhere in your message or else I might not be able to figure out what you are talking about. Conflict of interest

[edit]

Hi there. I see that you are editing a draft on your biography. I just wanted to tell you that this is considered a conflict of interest on wikipedia and if you want to read about it and understand why it is a bad thing, you can click here on this link WP:COI. If you like editing, you can edit a lot of other stuff, and if you are notable enough someone else will create an article for you when the time is right. I hope you will stay and continue editing, just not on your own article :) Elektricity (talk) 17:18, 5 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@User talk:Elektricity. Sounds like a plan. Can you protect the draft page? Jenna B Smith (talk) 17:36, 5 March 2018 (UTC) ;-)[reply]

As Elektricity indicated, Autobiographies are discouraged. Your user page, your sandbox and the draft are in that format. User pages are generally in a different format, see WP:USER and take a look around at other Wikipedians. Also, the categories used in articles are different from those for users. So instead of Category:Artists , Category:Wikipedian artists (most of them have Wikipedian in the name). I'm sure you'll get the hand of it and let me know how I can help.Naraht (talk) 18:30, 5 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
