Poor copy-edit of The Trashmen

[edit]

Dear Janviere Harison. A few days ago, you made a copy-edit to the article The Trashmen. I have undone this edit because it made the article worse, not better.

One thing you should take into account when writing good prose, is trying to avoid using the same word twice in close proximity. For example, you wrote this:

Despite the success of "Surfin' Bird", The Trashmen did not achieve wide success.

This sentence uses the word success twice in a row, which feels unprofessional.

You also submitted:

A song called "Steve conceptualized a song called "Surfin' Bird" which was instantly popular among the audience at their shows.

This erroneous sentence has also been reverted. Please don't take this personal. It is something I am obliged to do, in order to protect Wikipedia's quality. Cheers, Manifestation (talk) 17:09, 14 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
