User talk:JaneMoreau
This is JaneMoreau's talk page, where you can send them messages and comments. |
|
- Contents previously in this part of this page appear to be a draft article
- Draft articles belong in user-sub-pages or in pages whose names start with Draft:, not on your main user talk page. See Wikipedia:User pages for details. I have removed it. You can view this edit then "edit" it to see the Wiki-text and "copy" it, just don't "publish" the changes. You can then "paste" that text in a new page, such as User:JaneMoreau/sandbox1, so you can continue to work on it. You may remove this message at any time. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 01:33, 6 December 2020 (UTC)

Welcome
[edit]

Your User: and User talk: pages are special
[edit]They should not be used to create drafts.
You are welcome to create a "user sub-page." This is a page with a name that starts with User:JaneMoreau/ such as User:JaneMoreau/sandbox (your "main" sandbox), User:JaneMoreau/sandbox1, User:JaneMoreau/sandbox2, etc. You can also use specific names if you like, such as User:JaneMoreau/Victoria Kabeya or User:JaneMoreau/Victoria Kabeya-draft.
If you want to collaborate with others as you draft your page, you can use Draft:Victoria Kabeya.
I have removed the drafts that were "part of" your user talk page. As you can see by the messages I left behind, you can "go back" to the "old" version, "edit" the page, select the "wiki code" and copy it to a temporary location like a word processor document, then go back to this page and click on one of the links above to create a new page. Then you can paste the content into the new page.
I will be moving the contents of your main user page, User:JaneMoreau, to a new page shortly.
These changes are NOT a reflection on the merits of your draft. This is purely a "housekeeping" issue. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 01:40, 6 December 2020 (UTC)
Problem is I am trying to delete these drafts but I do no know how to do it now. I am trying to figure it that out. Please help if you can — Preceding unsigned comment added by JaneMoreau (talk • contribs) 20:30, 6 December 2020 (UTC)
- If a page name starts with User:JaneMoreau/ you can delete it by editing it, erasing all content, and putting
{{db-user}}
on the page then "publishing" it. This will tell administrators that you want the page to be deleted. This only works on pages in "your user space" though. See Template:db-user for details. You can delete other drafts by replacing their contents with{{db-author}}
, but that only works if nobody else has made any "significant" changes to the "encyclopedia article draft" part of the page. See Template:db-author for details. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 🎄 01:37, 14 December 2020 (UTC)
Wikipedia respects copyrights
[edit]I spoke too soon. It looks like a large part of that draft was copied from https://victoriakabeya.com/bio/. Wikipedia respects copyrights. Please read Wikipedia:Copyright and Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing before editing further. Please do not restore the deleted material. I have removed the infringing material, leaving the references and a few sentences that do not appear to be infringing. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 01:54, 6 December 2020 (UTC)
Not true. The resubmission for the VKY article no longer contains any part from her website but only rely on news article and interviews she did . — Preceding unsigned comment added by JaneMoreau (talk • contribs) 20:31, 6 December 2020 (UTC)

Talk page behavior
[edit]Please look over the behavioral guidelines at Wikipedia:Talk page guidelines. In particular, your recent edits at Talk:Taíno were problematic. First, always sign your comments on talk pages by adding four tildes (~~~~) at the end of your comment. Second, do not insert your comments in the middle of someone else's comment. That makes it very hard to follow the discussion. It is customary to indent responses to earlier comments, normally inserting the number of colons (:) preceding the earlier comment, plus one (as explained in the Layout section). Third, place new comments (that are not in response to a particular comment) at the bottom of the section. (Similarly, new sections should be placed at the bottom of the page.) Fourth, remember that article talk pages are to be used only for discussing how to improve the article.
I have added your signature to your edits, and moved them to proper locations in the respective sections on the talk page. - Donald Albury 12:39, 12 April 2021 (UTC)
