If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Tiny Paws Pet Care requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion," which appears inside of the speedy deletion ({{db-...}}) tag (if no such tag exists, the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate). Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. First Light (talk) 02:45, 3 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of Bob halpin

[edit]

The article Bob halpin has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Town managers are usually not notable. Nothing here and a web search suggests also finds nothing.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Knit & Crochet Now, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://createtv.com/ShowInfo/Knit+and+Crochet+Now.

It is possible that the bot was mistaken and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

Speedy deletion nomination of Knit & Crochet Now

[edit]

Hello James Yocom,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Knit & Crochet Now for deletion, because it's too short to identify the subject of the article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. User:Supercarwaar/signature 15:30, 17 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Nicole Hylton requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". A tag has been placed on Boston Association of Cabaret Artists, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

Speedy deletion nomination of Worcester Pride

[edit]

Hello James Yocom,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Worcester Pride for deletion, because it seems to be inappropriate for a variety of reasons.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Blythwood (talk) 15:05, 19 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@James Yocom: Hi, sorry about the automated message. My reason for suggesting (just suggesting) that the article be deleted are the promotional tone (quotes like "Being that Worcester is a college town, boasting 11 colleges in the immediate area, it makes perfect sense to have an event like this.") feel more like a press release than an encyclopedia article to me. I'm also a bit concerned that the article seems to copy text from the organisation's about us page, which isn't really allowed unless it's explicitly presented as a quote. (It's also best to leave off a Wikipedia article lists like lists of sponsors that might date unless regularly updated, I think.) I think it might be better adding some of this content to the article on Worcester, or resubmitting basing an article on pages on other gay pride organisations as a model for tone. Since I see you've had this problem before, I really recommend going to the Teahouse project and asking them to look at drafts of articles you're thinking of creating for improvements-they helped me realise that an article I was thinking of submitting wasn't very good and could be better as just a paragraph on a bigger article when I was new on here. Also, deleting a speedy deletion tag doesn't really do anything - it just removes the notice on the page. Blythwood (talk) 15:09, 19 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I deleted the page since you think it's not up to Wikipedia standards.

I think it might be worth mentioning on the Worcester, Massachusetts article. You could add a section on it there. My advice would be to go to one of the new pages forums before you write your next article - they can help you on avoiding directly using content from websites and press releases and making sure sources look good, plus also potentially advise you on whether a topic would be a good choice to write an article about. It might be bette rto merge it into the town; a town library is not notable enough for a separate article, and the extent of the detail here is more suited for their web page than for an encyclopedia. DGG ( talk ) 06:28, 20 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]
