[edit]Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include, but are not limited to, links to personal websites, links to websites with which you are affiliated (whether as a link in article text, or a citation in an article), and links that attract visitors to a website or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the page, please discuss it on the associated talk page rather than re-adding it. [1] MrOllie (talk) 13:26, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did at Pin grid array, you may be blocked from editing. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. - I can understand and I will not violate any spam policy. But according to my information if I am adding a content on Wikipedia I have to give reference of the website from where the content is written. Kindly, Let me know how this is the violation of spam policies. James Anderson 321 (talk) 18:01, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
- The site you are using as a citation does not meet Wikipedia's sourcing requirements. Repetitively adding it across multiple articles as you have been doing is spamming behavior. You are spamming that link, even if you happen to add some text at the same time. MrOllie (talk) 18:16, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
- I have read and understand. But clear my Query that the source I am providing is published and made available for general public. I guarantee that the source is reliable and authentic. Even then it will be considered as spamming.? If then Why? James Anderson 321 (talk) 18:29, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
- Because you have been spamming links to it. Spamming is a behavior. MrOllie (talk) 18:32, 19 November 2024 (UTC)
- I am just giving reference of source not making external links. My intentions are not to promote the website through spammy links. Clarke000 (talk) 18:41, 19 November 2024 (UTC)

- Then you have no reason to add the link any more. Instead, stick to reliable sources, such as peer-reviewed journals or books from major publishers. MrOllie (talk) 19:01, 19 November 2024 (UTC)

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia. Do not set up a second sock-puppet account to continue your disruptive editing, as you did with Clarke000 (talk · contribs) signed, Willondon (talk) 16:42, 20 November 2024 (UTC)
