United States vs. USA
[edit]Hello, James. I noticed that you've been converting various instances of "United States" into "USA". Our Manual of Style calls for not doing this. See MOS:USA. I'll be restoring the original language in the articles where I've seen that you've made the change. If you have any questions, feel free to ask. NewYorkActuary (talk) 21:38, 8 March 2017 (UTC)
Please gain consensus first
[edit]Hi James. Before attempting the sort of mass edits you are doing on the Miss USA pages first, please gain consensus at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Beauty Pageants. --- PageantUpdater (talk) 08:25, 9 March 2017 (UTC)
March 2017
[edit]Please do not add or change content, as you did at Talia Bennett, without citing a reliable source using an inline citation that clearly supports the material. The burden is on the person wishing to keep in the material to meet these requirements, as a necessary (but not always sufficient) condition. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you.-gadfium 03:20, 12 March 2017 (UTC)
Biographies of Living Persons & referencing
[edit]Regarding your creation of Denisse Franco, please be aware that biographies of living persons need to be supported by reliable sources that show the notability of the subject. Sites like "Angelopedia" do not qualify as reliable sources. In future, you need to add inline citations from appropriate sources when creating new articles. Wikipedia is not a fan site, and certain policies and guidelines need to be followed when creating and adding content. --- PageantUpdater (talk) 09:05, 14 March 2017 (UTC)
Warning
[edit]Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to Miss USA 2017. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Instagram is most certainly not a reliable source and I recommend you familiarise yourself with the policy before continuing to edit. --- PageantUpdater (talk) 20:44, 18 March 2017 (UTC)

[edit]Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at Miss Universe 2016, you may be blocked from editing. --- PageantUpdater (talk) 10:25, 19 March 2017 (UTC)
You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia by introducing incorrect information, as you did with this edit to Neil Patrick Harris. RA0808 talkcontribs 14:36, 22 March 2017 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of File:Miss colombia 2017 laura gonzález.jpeg
[edit]A tag has been placed on File:Miss colombia 2017 laura gonzález.jpeg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted content borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. – Train2104 (t • c) 21:43, 5 April 2017 (UTC)
Please stop
[edit]Please stop making disruptive edits, as you did at Miss USA.
- If you are engaged in an article content dispute with another editor, discuss the matter with the editor at their talk page, or the article's talk page, and seek consensus with them. Alternatively you can read Wikipedia's dispute resolution page, and ask for independent help at one of the relevant notice boards.
- If you are engaged in any other form of dispute that is not covered on the dispute resolution page, seek assistance at Wikipedia's Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents.
If you continue to disrupt Wikipedia, you may be blocked from editing. As I have brought to your attention earlier, please stop adding "TBA" to titleholder and event lists. "TBA" is not the name of the titleholder. The sections should be left as is until the 2017 titleholders are crowned. --- PageantUpdater (talk) 11:33, 13 April 2017 (UTC)
April 2017
[edit]You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you disrupt Wikipedia, as you did at Miss Florida USA. As has been pointed out to you numerous times, adding lines of TBA where the future event will not happen for a considerable time is disruptive. The entry can be added after the event occurs. --- PageantUpdater (talk) 12:01, 25 April 2017 (UTC)
