Friend, you misunderstood. Inline citations on Wikipedia are different than your standard inline citations, such as the ones you added. For instance, if I wanted an inline citation at the end of this sentence, I wouldn't do this.(Example, 2021) Instead, you need to properly format it with the link and other information. A basic example would be for me to type the sentence and type this after it.<code><ref>example.com</ref></code>. By typing that, a small superscript number would appear like this^[1] and the reference automatically appears at the bottom of the page in the <code>{{reflist}}</code>. These are just the basics to get you started but there is more to know. Please see WP:REFB for a beginner's guide to citing sources and WP:ILC for a full guide to inline citations. If you are still confused, please leave your questions/concerns on my talk page.
