Please do not write or add to an article about yourself, as you apparently did at Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Jacobrubinovitz. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you. Re: Menny Rabinovich

[edit]

I noticed that you keep adding AFC submission tags to Menny Rabinovich. The article has already been approved and exists in mainspace; it doesn't need to go through the AFC process again. I noticed also that you introduced three different spellings of the subject's name into the article: the spelling that has been approved is "Menny Rabinovich"; if you think a different spelling should be used, you should make a case for that on the article's talk page, which you can find here. Finally, you should be aware that academic titles such as "Dr" and trademarks such as "®" shouldn't be used on Wikipedia, except in a few very limited cases. See WP:CREDENTIAL and MOS:TM. Don't forget that you can visit the Teahouse if you need any help editing. Alexrexpvt (talk) 15:39, 27 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Nomination of Menny Rabinovich for deletion

[edit]

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Menny Rabinovich is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Menny Rabinovich until a consensus is reached, and anyone is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Alexrexpvt (talk) 16:11, 27 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Menny Rabinovich

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Category:Israeli multi-scientists requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for four days or more and it is not presently under discussion at Categories for discussion, or at disambiguation categories.

If you think that your page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Please stop. Continuing to remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Jacob Rubinovitz, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, may be considered disruptive editing. Further edits of this type may result in your account being blocked from editing. -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 19:11, 28 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Let's have a discussion about your work here and how you can accomplish what you wish to accomplish. One suggestion I'll make at the start is that you should request a username change. Your username is in violation of our username policy because it is the name of a real person and that person is not you. Changing it will help to alleviate some of the conflict of interest concerns. We should address those separately. If you do not engage in discussion, your edits may be considered disruptive and you could be blocked from editing. -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 19:33, 28 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I will contemplate a name change Jacobrubinovitz 20:03, 28 March 2013 (UTC)
Contemplation is not appropriate in this case. Per WP:IMPERSONATE I strongly suggest that your next edit be at WP:CHU or here on this page to discuss your intentions in editing in general. -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 20:42, 28 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
It looks like you were confused. Click on WP:CHU. Follow the instructions there to request a new username. -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 20:56, 28 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
please change my article name from Jacob Rubinovitz to Dr. Jacob Rubinovitz Thanks Jacobrubinovitz 21:17, 28 March 2013 (UTC)
That wouldn't be appropriate. Prefixes are not used in article titles. The username change is different from the article name. Your username is presently Jacobrubinovitz. You can't use that name unless you are Jacob Rubinovitz. That's what you need to change at WP:CHU. -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 21:31, 28 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I changed my username as required.Thanks 93.173.148.148 (talk) 21:45, 28 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Clearly you didn't if you are still editing under this username. -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 22:07, 28 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I do not want to argue. There is not and was not disruptive editing. Please remove the blockade. Jacobrubinovitz 08:53, 27 May 2015 (UTC)

This account is blocked from editing per the warnings at User talk:Sagi Rubin. -- Mufka (u) (t) (c) 11:03, 29 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Menahem Rabinovich, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Israeli and Fellowship (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Request reason:

There was no disruptive editing at any moment

Decline reason:

You were told to change your username. Above you've given every indication that you will not and if the other accounts are you, you've a history of creating accounts under other people's names. This is specifically against Wikipedia's policy because it's considered to be impersonation since you would be claiming to be someone that you are not. No amount of disclaimers will be enough and the only way to resolve that specific issue is to change your username. Apart from that, you've had some edits that would be considered disruptive, such as you continually adding someone to a section despite clear warnings not to do this. If these are indeed your other accounts, which appears likely, then you should be at least passing aware that continually trying to add or remove something despite indications that you shouldn't do this is seen as disruptive. Your tone above and in these repeated requests do not really suggest that you will change your username or edit in any other way if you're unblocked. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 11:29, 16 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

  1. Show that you will change your username and that you understand why using someone else's name as your username is not acceptable per policy.
  2. Give an example of some of the actions that were seen as disruptive and explain why they came across to others as disruptive.
  3. Explain what type of editing you will do once you are unblocked.
  4. Promise that you will edit under one account and one account only.
I would also recommend that you go through a training module like WP:TRAINING or WP:ADVENTURE as a sign of good faith on your part. My concern here is basically that you are pretty aware of guidelines per the conversations on the other pages, but you don't particularly care. You seem to be more interested in editing as it suits you rather than if it suits Wikipedia. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 11:32, 16 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

{{Wikipedia:RENAME}} Plaese change my name from Jacobrubinovitz to Jacob.Rubinovitz I understand that my editing history and my Password will be kept. This change is necessary to remove the block on Jacobrubinovitz and his IP. I Promise not to use user names Sagi Rubin and Ofer Rubin. I will do no disruptive editing. I will use my account only to submit articles or add new content.I will use my New Name Only.

Request reason:

There was no disruptive editing,I changed my name

Decline reason:

The problem here is that per above, you do not appear to be Jacob Rubinovitz. The means that you cannot use his name to make edits since this is considered to be an impersonation, which is against the guidelines on Wikipedia. Now if you were Rubinovitz, the only way you'd be able to edit under this name is if you filed a ticket through WP:OTRS that proves that you're Rubinovitz. Until then, you cannot edit under this name and this will be considered an impersonation account. As for the disruptive edits, I've explained above why those were seen as disruptive. Even if you meant well, they were still considered to be disruptive and no amount of good intentions will change that. I don't see where you really understand that and in order to unblock you you'll have to show that you understand the reasons for your block. At this point I don't really know that you ever will show an understanding of the reasons for your block (WP:NOTGETTINGIT), which means that you're unlikely to be blocked at this point. I'm tempted to take away your talk page access since I'm starting to think that any further unblock attempts will be futile and take up too much admin time. I attempt to change my usernname to Jacob.Rubinovitz123. There was no disruptive editing at any time. 79.181.33.60 (talk) 06:23, 19 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

This still has the exact same issue as @Tokyogirl79: described above: we don't know that you're Jacob Rubinovitz, and adding "123" to the end does not make that problem go away. In addition, editing from a logged-out IP is block evasion. - The Bushranger One ping only 07:59, 19 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • I'm going to go ahead and cut off talk page access. This is a clear case of someone willfully refusing to get the point, which has been made exceedingly clear. Any further unblock requests must be submitted via e-mail, during which time you can prove your identity, if you are Rubinovitz. If you are not, they will not unblock you until you choose a username that does not use another person's name. Even then you will still have to show that you understand the reasons why your other edits were seen as disruptive. And just so this is explicitly clear, your block covers your edits under any format. You are not supposed to edit at all, whether it be under an IP or another account. Any attempts to edit without successfully having this account unblocked will be seen as block evasion or (if you open up any further accounts) as WP:SOCKPUPPETRY. Five unblock requests, none of which show that you understand the reason for your block, are more than enough. At this point it's just a waste of admin time to allow it to go any further.
