Early Life

Lil Jayy was born in Covington, LA at the Lakeview Regional Medical Center. Lil Jayy lived in Bogalusa, Louisiana (a city in Washington Parish) for the first 4 years of his life. His home was referred to as the "projects" or low-income public housing. Lil Jayy stated, "Living in Bogalusa felt unreal. I don't remember too much about living there, but when we moved (Lil Jayy's family moved to Sandy Hook, MS), I remember everything from there." Lil Jayy witnessed the killing of someone at the age of 4 in Bogalusa, LA (while living in the "projects").

Career

Lil Jayy began rapping at the age of 12. During a interview, Lil Jayy was asked, "What made you start rapping?". He responded with, "It looked like a easy way to make money. Plus, I felt like I would be good at it." His most popular release, "Gettin' Rich (Freestyle)" was the foundation of his career. Lil Jayy claims to have high standards and hopes to be rich one day.
