david (talk) 17:27, 21 June 2009 (UTC) I'm on a learning curve at present and notice you have deleted an entry (my first attempt on Wikipedia) on Corentyne High School because of "Unambiguous copyright infringement of http://chs-jccss.org/blog/about/". I'm guessing that your view is that I have lifted the content of the Wikipedia entry in part from the chs-jccss link above and that is correct although the author was acknowledged in the Wikipedia entry and has permitted this. Not sure what else I'm supposed to do but thought I would leave this message while you are enjoying your Wikibreak. As I said I'm on a learning curve but I'll try and copy this into your Talk page too. Have a good time away. David. david (talk) 17:27, 21 June 2009 (UTC)

Removal of tags from Van Gink with summary "rv copyvio content"
Hello Jack.
I added some tags to the article about the "Van Gink" automobile. But when I looked through the revision history of the article, I noticed that YOU made another edit to this article. So I checked the page again, and *poof*, the tags were gone.
The summary to the edit was "rv copyvio content". I also noticed that the "references" were removed as well.
There's a couple of things I would like to say:
- Why remove the tags from the article? It still has some issues (e.g. It's too short, not notable, etc.)
Please take this into consideration. Thank you, -calvinps- (talk) 18:02, 16 July 2009 (UTC)
- Um, The dutch content was copy and pasted from another website, all I did was revert to the version before it was added, I'll admit I didn't bother to re-add the tags, its no big deal to re-add them--Jac16888Talk 18:50, 16 July 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for the speedy response to my post about Clement Hernandez. I was wondering, since it was created once before and deleted, do you think it should be protected to stop recreationS? Martin Raybourne (talk) 14:25, 30 July 2009 (UTC)
- No problem. I'd say its not necessary, the creations were 6 months apart, and its only been created twice, normally create protection is for where an article is created many times in a short space of time--Jac16888Talk 14:48, 30 July 2009 (UTC)

hi, need explaination plz
hi, I have created while ago a page called (samutorrents.com), then it got deleted by u with that note,,
Article about a web site, blog, web forum, webcomic, podcast, browser game, or similar web content, which does not indicate the importance or significance of the subject)
Im sorry but im still new on this and i have no idea what i have missed, Im admin for that site and we thought of making this page to support our site,, i understood that i didnt make something like copyright,, can i know how to do that as i cant find such otion for it and i was attending to do two pages for my two sites, but i have no clue what should i do to prevent deleting or any action of that kind...
I will be grateful to tell me,
Thank u in advance --User:Sarah.gkhia 00:42, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
- Two reasons. Firstly, there are billions of websites out there, probably hundreds of thousands of torrent sites, we can't possibly have an article on every single one of them. Therefore for a website to have an article on wikipedia, it has to be notable. Secondly, wikipedia articles are not for support, they are supposed to be informative not promotional, the fact that you're closely related to the site means you should not be writing about it, you have a clear conflict of interest--Jac16888Talk 01:07, 1 August 2009 (UTC)
--- thanks fo reply, so, i wont create such thing again as it is against ur policy, but i guess u got me wrong as i wanted whoever search for our site find some sourse to lead them, if they didnt find it directly, anyways, thanks for ur relpy, and all the best.--Sarah.gkhia (talk) 12:02, 1 August 2009 (UTC)

Bluemarine
I am sorry, but a short block for [3] is disgusting, and taken with the prohibition on Allstarecho complaininmg about personal attacks and attacks on gay men in general by Bluemarine leaves a foul taste in the mouth. DuncanHill (talk) 19:59, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
- huh? I wasn't aware of any of the background or anything when I made that block, he put a helpme up, i saw the comment and responded with the block. Although in hindsight considering that he has a whole arbcom and huge ani discussion going on I wouldn't feel comfortable making any kind of long block --Jac16888Talk 20:14, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
- The situation now is that Bluemarine gets short blocks for calling another editor a pervert (a personal attack not just on that editor but on all other gay editors), and since that spat on his talk page his victim has been banned from commenting on him anywhere - he isn't even allowed to complain about further personal abuse from Bluemarine. You made the block before the ban on Allstarecho, so I do not blame you for that, but please, keep a very close eye on Bluemarine as he will repeat his homophobic behaviour and personal attacks. Another editor today was indef blocked for calling someone a cunt, so 72 hours for something much worse looks very poor indeed. DuncanHill (talk) 20:22, 5 August 2009 (UTC)
- Of course. I'll admit I wasn't aware that allstar is gay when I blocked, so I didn't realise it was also a homophobic attack, my apologies for that--Jac16888Talk 20:26, 5 August 2009 (UTC)

Restore FrancisLightHouse Vs Wikipedia?
Is it possible to restore FrancisLightHouse Vs Wikipedia? Right now I have suspected this IP user of having at least 4 sock puppet accounts. And most of the evidence is in the history of that page. PopMusicBuff talk 01:00, 7 August 2009 (UTC)
- I really prefer not to, it was pure vandalism, we can't keep that kind of thing around. Is there something you need to know about it or do you just want it as evidence? If its just as evidence it doesn't matter since any admin can see its deleted history anyway. Removal of your comment from my Talk page.
You wrote this. Thank you for your kind comment. As I wrote in the edit summary removing the comment, turnabout is fair play, but does not usually resolve disputes. My point actually is to fully accept what the IP editor has been trying to say for so long, and turn it into something positive, such that every time the editor says it, it brings some very good thoughts to mind. There is also a possibility that the editor will actually realize something new for him, that wouldn't hurt either. I very much appreciate your support, but I don't want to turn this into a battle, the opposite, I want to turn it into a conclusive closure, and there is a possibility of that if it doesn't become, "No, you are scum." We are a collection of pots and kettles, and it's about time we started cooking, instead of arguing about who is the blackest. I hope this brings a smile to your face. Thanks again. --Abd (talk) 15:56, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
- ah, didn't see your summary. Ah well, i understand what you're trying to do, and it did bring a smile to my face actually. I wish you best of luck with this--Jac16888Talk 16:36, 11 August 2009 (UTC)
Unless you speak Arabic, you have no idea what the article is about, or if it is asserting notability. I think your deletion of the article without some sort of understanding of the subject matter was inappropriate. - CobaltBlueTony™ talk 18:10, 13 August 2009 (UTC)
- I volunteer at WP:PNT and have much experience with foriegn articles actually and use a variety of machine translators to see the subject of articles. The article did not suggest any notability of the subject, hence the deletion. I didn't mean to wheel war with you though, I missed that you restored it, I thought the author had recreated it--Jac16888Talk 18:15, 13 August 2009 (UTC)

You failed to see an attack page because you don't understand
You failed. You failed to see an attack page because it is not YOU that's being attacked. It's not you being implicated. Admins are extremely subjective in "seeing" attack pages. For example, User:Dlohcierekim once deleted my userbox in my user page because it accused raytheon ceo of being a cheaper despite article raytheon stating as much. User:Dlohcierekim then changed his mind about the deletion but the appeal to undelete was denied by another admin. Very subjective. Now you fail to see the personal attacked. You failed to do your job and protect from personal attacks, it's my perspective not yours what determines a personal attack, your subjective interpretation of WP:personal attacks is incorrect, it's my reputation not yours and is why you didn't care. It's why you did not take the time to consider the entire case. Henry Delforn (talk) 19:09, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
- Now that, that's a personal attack. The page you want deleted was NOT an attack, it was a comment on the source of the article. You need to calm down and not get so worked up about things, I did my job properly and did not just decline it on a whim, I looked into it properly, which is why I am able to reply to you without having to go back and look it up. If the talk page had been, "henry is a plagiariser who stole this content because hes a big thief" that would be an attack, However he did not comment on you whatsoever. Furthermore, on seeing your response to his comment he responded that the article was fine. Get over yourself and stop being so damn petty--Jac16888Talk 11:09, 22 August 2009 (UTC)

Hi, could I please have a copy of the Macintosh Garden page you deleted? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wishstik (talk • contribs) 12:32, 26 August 2009 (UTC)
Mat Benote
I believe you deleted the page for the artist known as Mat Benote. This story appeared on the news recently, which I think counters the rationale you gave for deleting the page. Due to the nature of the artist, and his ability to remain a clandestine figure, it seems this is enough to ratify his data. Please reinstate the page. Thanks.

It's back: [4] Wknight94 talk 16:10, 26 August 2009 (UTC)
- seen it, reverted it and watchlisted it. Cheers--Jac16888Talk 17:29, 26 August 2009 (UTC)
Thank you for protecting the article, Loch Ness Monster. I wanted to add to the top of the article that little itty bitty silver padlock symbol that indicates that the article is semi-protected, but cannot for the life of me remember the appropriate template. Do you recall which one it is? Thanks! — SpikeToronto (talk) 20:39, 26 August 2009 (UTC)
- aha, found it, ironically at the top of the protection page, its {{pp-template}}--Jac16888Talk 20:41, 26 August 2009 (UTC)
Done Thanks! — SpikeToronto (talk)
Would you consider placing a semi-protect on Gideon v. Wainwright for excessive vandalism? Several registered editors, including myself, are becoming rather occupied reverting the strangest vandalism edits on it, over and over. Thanks! — SpikeToronto (talk) 01:59, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
- bugger, forgot to answer. I don't think protection is really necessary for that page, the vandalism isn't that persistent--Jac16888Talk 19:13, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
I'm writing you email. =) -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 21:05, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
- okeydokey--Jac16888Talk 21:06, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
- got it and replied to your secrety admin email. Not sure that wikipedia is ready for the revolution yet, perhaps if Jimbo starts to lose some support and J. delanoybot gets exposed we might stand a chance. In the meantime, stay strong comrade --Jac16888Talk 21:19, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
