If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Chelmsford Water polo club requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, contest the deletion by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". Doing so will take you to the talk page where you will find a pre-formatted place for you to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Gaijin42 (talk) 20:17, 31 October 2011 (UTC)

Circuit wizard

The page Circuit wizard has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appeared to be blatant advertising which only promotes something, and which is unlikely to be suitable for an article (or at best would need a fundamental rewrite). Wikipedia is not a medium for promotion of anything, whether a company, product, group, service, person, religious or political belief, or anything else. Please read the general criteria for speedy deletion, particularly item G11, as well as the guidelines on spam. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki (talk) 19:20, 5 December 2011 (UTC)

Speedy deletions

Please be more careful when tagging articles for deletion under A7. Many of the articles you have tagged contain an indication of its significance and are therefore not deletable under the criteria. —Dark 11:19, 2 January 2012 (UTC)

Intercessions

Hi, Fine, I will also look at that. In fact, as [Talk:Intercession_of_saints#Biblical_basis stated here] it was my plan to work on those issues during Q1 of 2012, so it should all really work together. Cheers. History2007 (talk) 13:59, 2 January 2012 (UTC)

By the way, I am not totally sure if Luke 23:34 and Hebrews 9:12 will fly without secondary refs.... Time will tell. But I added other NT verses anyway. History2007 (talk) 15:37, 2 January 2012 (UTC)

General suggestions

A couple of general points. To avoid a new page getting Afd-ed, it really needs some non WP:Primary references. E.g. on Intercession of Christ the fact that there is a (non-self published) book with that title establishes WP:Notability. And a couple of WP:Secondary refs will avoid a WP:OR flag on it. I have done these for those 2 pages, so no big deal, but I thought I should explain the reasons. History2007 (talk) 14:23, 2 January 2012 (UTC)

I am mostly done with that article. I think you can even submit that as a DYK, and get your first DYK that way. WP:Helpdesk can probably give you some pointers on how to do a DYK. The best DYK-hook will be the first sentence. But it needs to be submitted in the next 4 days. History2007 (talk) 23:32, 2 January 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for the heads up. I've been gradually working on them for the last couple of days so refs are getting added eventually. Paul MacDermott (talk) 17:11, 2 January 2012 (UTC)

Of course some of the categories are empty it is only the second day of the year and thanks for the info boxMasterknighted (talk) 18:35, 2 January 2012 (UTC)

Hi. When you recently edited Hobah, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Sodom and Gomorrah (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

DYK is done

Hi, that DYK worked out pretty quickly, and should be up in a few days. And I think your biblical places series is pretty useful. I don't know if "Category:New Testament places" is complete or not, just FYI. Cheers. History2007 (talk) 17:54, 7 January 2012 (UTC)

Your GA nomination of Historical Jesus

Hello, I just wanted to introduce myself and let you know I am glad to be reviewing the article Historical Jesus you nominated for GA-status according to the criteria. This process may take up to 7 days. Feel free to contact me with any questions or comments you might have during this period. I'm actually pretty sure that I'll fail this nomination, but still I would like to discuss the path to re-nomination. — Dmitrij D. Czarkoff (talk) 09:33, 5 February 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for this Czarkoff; I can see now that it really isn't a GA class. But thank you all the same for assuming good faith and trying to get it renominated.
I'm glad you've taken it that easy. Feel free to contact me with any questions regarding the future of this article. P.S.: Though it requires quite a bit of work, it is really close to GA status. — Dmitrij D. Czarkoff (talk) 18:13, 5 February 2012 (UTC)

Project Christianity

Hi, there is a discussion here that we need more members who will watch the Project Christianity noticeboard and comment once in a while. Could I talk you into adding your name to the project and occasionally looking at that noticeboard, given that we do need more help there and are shorthanded. Your help will be appreciated. History2007 (talk) 17:01, 22 February 2012 (UTC)

Sure, I'd be happy to do that so long as I know exactly what to do. Do you want me just to join the WikiProject, or is there a different section needed for editors willing to look at the noticeboard? Also, is the Eastons Bible Dictionary section of WP: Missing inactive? I make new articles from there but if I'm the only one then maybe it's counted as inactive. JZCL 17:09, 22 February 2012 (UTC)
Great. All it takes is to add your name to the project and the noticeboard to your watchlist. Once in a while people will ask for comments from project participants and your help in expressing an opinion will be appreciated. That type of occasional comment really goes a long way in maintaining the integrity of project articles. Thanks. History2007 (talk) 18:00, 22 February 2012 (UTC)

Page

I am not sure if it needs to be built or is part of predestination. Please see this as a source. Also this. However, I will not be able to look at it for another week or so, but please also ask StAnselm who probably knows about the topic. Thanks. History2007 (talk) 09:55, 25 February 2012 (UTC)

The Predestination mentions it a fair bit. I would support it being a separate article, but in the meantime it can be a redirect. StAnselm (talk) 20:35, 27 February 2012 (UTC)

Noms

Hi, please feel free to nominate articles you have written and know about for GA. But on complicated computing things, it will be hard to explain them to the reviewers, so please do me a favor and sidestep those, for they will consume time but not get much else. Thanks. Water polo players

Hi. :) I noticed you're a member of the Water Sports Wikiproject with an interest in water polo. I'm currently working on improving a number of articles about members of Australia women's national water polo team that will compete at the 2012 Summer Olympics. I'd like to make the team that competes into a Good Topic. I've currently nominated six of the 17/13 players for Good Article. These articles are Bronwen Knox, Glencora Ralph, Victoria Brown (water polo), Zoe Arancini, Ashleigh Southern, Kelsey Wakefield. I'd really appreciate if you could either edit them to improve them or consider reviewing them for Good Article. :) Water polo isn't a sport I'm all that familiar with so adding more to them would be appreciated. :) --LauraHale (talk) 00:50, 3 March 2012 (UTC)

Great, I will have a look at those. They look pretty much GA standard, so well done. I will try and edit them further if I can. JZCL 10:20, 3 March 2012 (UTC)
Awesome. :D Thanks. I have this tendency to lose track of text and make the occasional typo. Any help editing any of the 2012 set is appreciated. :) --LauraHale (talk) 10:34, 3 March 2012 (UTC)

While randomly on about water polo and about to head to bed, Wikipedia:The Core Contest/Articles includes water polo if you need an additional incentive to improve it. :) --LauraHale (talk) 11:25, 3 March 2012 (UTC)

It is as well - thanks for pointing that out. If you have any sources not listed in the article please let me know. As for your articles, I only managed to make one improvement! They should definitely make them to GA class. I'd do it myself, but I get a bit scared when reviewing GAs. And I'm rather attatched and as stated in WP:Reviewing good articles I shouldn't really do it.
I've got a fairly extensive collection of general sport reference books. They include:
I don't have any water polo specific books. (I likely have enough Australian sport books to write an article about water polo in Australia.) I also have access to books at the National Sport Information Centre so if there is something you would like from there, I should be able to get it. --LauraHale (talk) 21:27, 3 March 2012 (UTC)

God Good Article nomination

Hi JZCL, I have failed this nomination for lack of broadness and inconsistency, see Talk:God/GA2. In the future you might want to consider making yourself available for article improvements when putting an article up at GAN--to nominate an article that you neither have substantially contributed to, nor intend to improve, makes the nominator feel like they are wasting their time. Cheers, Pgallert (talk) 07:12, 15 March 2012 (UTC)

Goalkeeper (water polo) good article nomination

Hi. I'm inclined to probably review Goalkeeper (water polo) but before I do that, I'd like to make the following suggestions: 1. Write the lead in a clear summary style. Remove all the citations from the lead, include them in the body. Have the lead summarise the article after that. Done 14:03, 28 April 2012 (UTC)

2. Article on the comprehensive side... Responsibilities and techniques. It needs something that explicitly talks about rules related to that, potentially how these rules differ based on different governing bodies. Done - I think I've got everything 14:03, 28 April 2012 (UTC)

3. Add a picture of a female goalkeeper, with a ratio of about 50/50 because the current pictures suggest no women are goal keepers and that is a bit biased. Partly done: Unfortunately I could only find one picture of a female goalkeeper (which I added in). I cannot find any more. 14:08, 28 April 2012 (UTC) Done The ratio is 3:2 now; what should be alright shouldn't it? 07:42, 29 April 2012 (UTC)

4. Remove the see also section as it is completely redundant as all those things are mentioned in the article. Done 14:08, 28 April 2012 (UTC)

5. Change the link from Hungary to the say Hungary men's national water polo team or something like that. Done 14:08, 28 April 2012 (UTC)

6. Put some water polo template at the bottom. Not done: please be more specific about what needs to be changed. Sorry, I cannot find any appropriate templates that you are talking about. 14:08, 28 April 2012 (UTC) Partly done: I have made Template:Goalkeeper. I would make a template with all the water polo positions on there, but the only bluelink would be Goalkeeper (water polo)! 08:41, 29 April 2012 (UTC)

If you can get these things done, I will happily do the review and 1/2 the work reviewing it will already be done. :) --LauraHale (talk) 10:33, 27 April 2012 (UTC)

Thanks LauraHale, the help is greatly appreciated. Unfortunately, I have no female water polo player images and I could only find one on commons. If there are any others I'd love to know. Also, what do you mean by more water polo templates at the bottom? If you could clarify that would be super. Thanks, JZCL 14:08, 28 April 2012 (UTC)
I feel a bit self promotional... but commons:Category:Water polo in Australia has some and there have to be at least one or two pictures of female water polo players on Flickr that are licensed for import to Commons. As for template on the bottom, it might be worth considering creating a template for water polo positions. See Template:Baseball positions for an example from another sport. --LauraHale (talk) 21:14, 28 April 2012 (UTC)
I added another female goalkeeper and took a male away. The ratio is now 3:2 which should be OK I think unless you have a problem with that. About the template: when I have made articles about other water polo positions I will make that template. But for now I have created Template:Goalkeeper which I think should suffice for now. I'll snag it and try to do the review tomorrow my time. :) It will still likely require improvements but those were the major ones that I saw just glancing at it.--LauraHale (talk) 06:43, 1 May 2012 (UTC)

Sorry to take another day more than planned. I have reviewed the article. There are a few things I would like fixed up. --LauraHale (talk) 03:56, 3 May 2012 (UTC)

Hi. In your recent article edits, you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
