[edit]Hi, thanks for message. When you add a message to a talk page, use header text ==header==, not a category. Another editor had actually removed your message because there shouldn't be cats on a user page, so it was just chance I noticed it. So many problems. I deleted your article because
- The article was a copyright violation, as detected by the bot and confirmed by you. Copyrighted text is not allowed in Wikipedia, as outlined in this policy. That applies even to pages created by you or your organisation, unless they state clearly and explicitly that the text is public domain. There are ways to donate copyrighted text to Wikipedia, as described here; please note that simply asserting on the talk page that you are the owner of the copyright, or you have permission to use the text, isn't sufficient. But in any case the copyrighted text is far too promotional to be useful for Wikipedia's purposes, so there would not be any point in your jumping through all the hoops that are required.
- It was written in a promotional tone. Articles must be neutral and encyclopaedic. Examples of unsourced claims presented as fact include: award winning author... An ordinary cop with an extraordinary cause!... tells his story with a strong message... can make a successful stand against socials [sic] forces... story of fear, courage, and integrity... — basically, you are just promoting the book, not writing an encyclopaedia article.
- You did not provide independent verifiable sources to enable us to verify the facts and show that you meet the notability guidelines. It is now Wikipedia policy that biographical articles about living people must have independent verifiable references, or they will be deleted.
- You make allegations of criminal behaviour without any source except a book apparently also written by you. You will appreciate that we cannot carry claims of illegal behaviour that don't have proper independent references. You should provide links to specific press reports and the like if you are going to make these accusations.
- You have an obvious conflict of interest when it comes to editing articles about this subject. Thank you for declaring your interest. If, after reading the information about notability linked above, you still believe that you are notable enough for a Wikipedia article (and that there is significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources), you could, if you wish, post a request at Wikipedia:Requested articles for the article to be created. Thanks for uploading File:Justin Hopson, NJ State Police graduation, March 2002.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file agreed to license it under the given license.
If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either
- make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
- Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.
If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.
