Help me!

[edit]

I've created a new article in my sandbox https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/User:IsaNew/sandbox but don't seem to find a way to embed an existing logo into the article. The logo I would like to embed is this: https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/de/5/50/Studex_Logo_black.jpg It is being used for the German article: https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Studex I tried embedding it by clicking on the Embed icon, inserted the file name https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/de/5/50/Studex_Logo_black.jpg, entered "Studex logo" as caption, clicked on Insert. (Also tried just the file name.) What am I doing wrong?

Due to the intricacies of copyright, non-free images must be uploaded separately to each Wikipedia project that is to show the image; the English Wikipedia cannot use a non-free image from the German Wikipedia. However, the non-free content criteria on the English Wikipedia require that non-free images may only be used in live articles (and they must be used, we can't have unused non-free images); a draft is not enough. Thus I'd suggest you focus on improving the draft (additional references will likely be required to show that the company meets the English Wikipedia's standards of notability) and upload the image only when the draft has been reviewed and turned into a live article. At that point you can use the English Wikipedia's File Upload Wizard to upload the image locally, and then you can add it to the article. Huon (talk) 20:14, 21 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
