gtkterm
Please withdraw your request for deletion of gtkterm. You marked it for deletion minutes after I had posted it! If you could say a little more about your reasoning - you have told me which rule you feel it violates, but not why - I would be happy to hear you out. jsnx 17:29, 30 September 2006 (UTC)

Kat Dennings Page
Pls stop vandalizing edits targeting selected users. If you can't handle the concept of WiKipedia, your id may de suspended. Just think about the stuff that you may end up seeing on Kat Dennings page if you lose your iron grip of it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 196.40.26.246 (talk • contribs)
- Anonymous user,
- See my response in your talk page. I encourage you to post verifiable information on the Kat Dennings page and every other page on Wikipedia. That is why I "vandalized" it.

You seem to live in hostile environment. Firstly, nobody threatened you, and my note about KG page was meant to be humourous. I only wanted to stress that going after some people, and removing every bit of information they left on any other page, based on the assumption that they only post garbage, may not necessarily be a proper approach. I'm referring to Friske page where you deleted a paragraph, that made sense. So no hostility on my part, and no user wars. We're all trying to contribute after all. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 196.40.26.246 (talk • contribs)
- Agreed, I still defend my editorial decisions as being sound, but my method may not have been ideal. My justification was that if someone is posting iffy stuff on multiple pages, it seemed the best for Wikipedia's overall quality to follow along and fix a chain of poor edits. I still stand by my decisions, but I can certainly see how it was misinterpreted. The whole hostile environment theory is interesting... but I think losing my ID comes across as a threat.

Hi there, you should have checked here: List of Ohio townships before moving Thompson Township, Ohio -- there are two other townships with this name in that state. Badagnani 19:37, 25 May 2006 (UTC)
Rik Levins
You have added a notability tag to the Rik Levins article. The entry fulfills the Biography requirements as he is a comic book artist (with extensive credits ([1]) who have been long acknowledged as notable enough for inclusion on Wikipedia. Aside from that basic fact, he would warrant inclusion as the regular penciller of Captain America (a significantly important American Comic book) for over three years (1991-1994), in which he worked on an important run with writer Mark Gruenwald which contained many storylines and introduced many new characters designed by Levins. I am not familiar with his AC comics runs, but I suspect his work there was similarly (if not more, given his time there was more extensive) significant. Please remove the tag. Parts of this post have been rerinted on the Talk:Rik Levins page. Hueysheridan 14:54, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
Thanks!! 16:31, 16 June 2006 (UTC)
I see you tagged the article. Could you please leave and explanation at Talk:List of land mammals of Nunavut as to what needs doing so I can work on it. Thanks. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 08:42, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
- Ah, sorry I didn't think of that. I imagined all kinds of problems with it but not the font issue. I've replaced the tag with a link to the fonts here. If you want to read about them see Inuktitut syllabics. Thanks for pointing that out. I'm so used to seeing them that I forget others may not have them. Cheers. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 14:51, 22 June 2006 (UTC)
I felt that the subject (and all of the associated articles) meets db-band (A7) speedy criteria; from what I can tell, the article subject "releases" mix-tapes via manual distribution and/or websites. I don't see how the subject could possibly meet WP:MUSIC criteria. However, if you want to take it to afd, you may want to include the numerous associated articles afd. Pantip.com
Hi! I'm working on the Pantip.com article. I understand it is "probably" the largest website in Thailand, but obviously I'm having a bit of trouble tracking down some information to verify this claim. If you can offer any pointers to help me out, I'd appreciate it, because I do believe an article about Pantip.com deserves a place on the English-language Wikipedia. It is notable. It is mentioned in the Thai media on a regular basis and has at times been controversial. --Wisekwai 18:15, 28 June 2006 (UTC)
Just to clarify
The stub you have labeled as "autobiography" today at E. Thomas Wood is simply my response to finding my own name red-linked by persons unknown. Knowing that the Wiki process might lead to people saying who knows what, I thought the wise course was to offer the URL of my professional page. That's all I offered, and I don't care whether anyone does an article or not, as I state right there. I'm a little peeved at this reaction when I'm just trying to respond to an anonymous link that suggested Wiki folk would seek info on me. What would you do? --Tom Wood 05:24, 10 July 2006 (UTC)
WildCat (Cedar Point) (rv bad link)
I had removed the "Anton" portion of the manufacturer name to be only "Schwarzkopf" and you reverted my edit. The name of the company is Schwarzkopf Industries, not Anton Schwarzkopf, so it seems to me to leave it as just plain Schwarzkopf. The infobox autocategorizes based on this name, and the other 7 coasters of his are categorized this way. Dddstone 02:14, 11 July 2006 (UTC)

Is Fun Spot Amusement Park & Zoo notable?
I have my doubts that Fun Spot Amusement Park & Zoo is notable enough for inclusion in an encyclopedia. The doggone thing is tiny, hardly ever open, and there's absolutely nothing unusual or unique about it. If this thing rates an article, it would be hard for me to conceive of an "amusement park" that should be excluded.
Moreover, the idea of redirecting Fun Spot to this roadside attraction is rather strange to my mind.
I am considering nominating it for deletion, but I thought I'd talk to you first.
W'atcha think? MrHarman 02:18, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
- Compare Fun Spot with Conneaut Lake Park. Both have the same number of adult rides (17; although Fun Spot actually has more roller coasters). True, Blue Streak (Conneaut Lake) is a roller coaster with considerable historical significance, but I think having the only looping roller coaster in the state of Indiana is also noteworthy. Fun Spot isn't the oldest operating park in Indiana, but it misses that distinction by only a couple of years (see www.rcdb.com). The fact that it has an attached zoo also makes it noteworthy. As for the redirect from Fun Spot, I do see your point. I just put it in because I felt it was the only notable location with Fun Spot in the title. Most everything else in the google results was little more than a mini-golf or go-kart place.
Best, Irongargoyle 13:29, 12 July 2006 (UTC)
- Thanks for filling me in. Knowing Fun Spot, I just can't see that it qualifies for an encyclopedia article, but I'll take your word for it. I am going to move mention of Fun Spot from the lead paragraph in the Angola, Indiana article and put it under ==See also==. Fun Spot is not in Angola, and few would think that Fun Spot would top a "known for" or "home of" list anyway. MrHarman 04:26, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
- I didn't know it was outside the city limits. Thanks. Irongargoyle 20:25, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
References on Ethnic Groups of Tanzania
Irongargoyle, you aptly noted that I overlooked citing sources for the population figures of the Tanzanian ethnic groups for which I have been creating stubs. I have fixed that problem now for all the relevant articles, so please stop adding a call for references. (All information is derived from the Ethnologue page cited). inversion succession box
I noticed you added a "preceeded by" and "followed by" box on The Viper's page for "most inversions". Question: since there are multiple coasters with x number of inversions in them, how is that handled? For example, if Coaster1, Coaster2, and Coaster3 each have 10 inversions, then how are they listed in a "followed by" box on a page for a coaster with just 9? SpikeJones 20:43, 8 September 2006 (UTC)

Assessment
Hey, thanks for starting up the Assessment scale page/template. I've been meaning to do that, but that task had been pushed away to the sidelines to focus on other tasks at hand. Anyway, I think other members would be really interested in what plans you have, myself included, so it would be a trouble for you to discuss it on the talk page? As you might've noticed (aside from me, CBD, Carcharoth, Kaobear, and occasionally Uthanc), there is a severe lack of communication and discussion between the WikiProject members — which is rather sad, if you think upon it, since the main purpose of creating a WikiProject is to focus on team collaboration. (I usually am the only one to go on post on talk pages of members to discuss various issues, since major ideas and debates proposed and started in the talk page often go unanswered by active participants who sign the role call.) I would also appreciate if you could reply on my talk page. Thanks. :) —Mirlen 20:10, 10 September 2006 (UTC)
- I have a feeling that most of our members in WP:Me tend to be gnomish. :D Mm, anyway, it's fine — you don't have active all the time if you don't want to and it's wonderful of you to be bold, but an occasional participation on our talk page for what you deem to be major issues (or if it was major, I'd of course post the news on respective talk pages — or better, keep a watch on the announcement box for news now and then. That would save me the task of posting it on respective 30+ members' talk pages.) I've been chewing on what Carcharoth had been saying a while ago and I think we do need to brush up on our OOU Tolkien related articles (e.g. novels, living people, etc.). I'd like to get The Silmarillion up to FA. When I have the time and I finish making Maedhros a GA article, finish the List of High Elves list, create templates for WP:Me that'll place them in categories like Tolkien articles needing of cleanup, etc., then I'll focus on The Silmarillion. But if you want to get a head start, go ahead! I don't think I'll be getting around to it until for some time. :P I also need to get the group together to think of standard headings for Tolkien related book articles... —Mirlen 01:18, 21 September 2006 (UTC)
Space Marines cleanup
I have fixed the formatting on Space Marines (Warhammer 40,000) and removed the {{cleanup}} tag you added on the (perhaps mistaken) assumption that you added this only because of the formatting. If there were other issues you felt should be dealt with, please feel very free to re-add the tag. Cheers --Pak21 08:25, 12 September 2006 (UTC)

Templates
I hope you didn't mind me taking off the {{Fëanor}} template off the Maedhros article and moving it to the House of Finwë talk page with a comment of merging (with I think you should read since you seem to be interested in templates and the like)... Anyway, this may be a little unfair to ask, but could you just preferably abstain from adding family tree templates to individual character articles until the whole issue with family tree templates and articles are dealt with (and we can officialize it to Standards)? I'm putting up a poll, so if you could just wait until the results come out...that would be great. Thank you! :) —Mirlen 02:46, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
- No problem. I didn't know it was an issue until after I placed the family templates on the articles. Best, Irongargoyle 03:22, 28 September 2006 (UTC)
- Sorry for that then, Irongargoyle. On a random note, your geography templates look great — they make navigation a whole lot easier — so thanks! :) —Mirlen 03:33, 28 September 2006 (UTC)

Reverse placebo effect
Having never heard of the specific term, I did a google and pubmed search before redirecting. Not really a whole lot out there (a couple of google hits and no pubmed). If it is a separate entity, it's certainly a specialized bit of terminology which probably best belongs on the nocebo page. I would be interested in reading any references that you have, since I'm not sure what else the reverse placebo effect can refer to! InvictaHOG 02:09, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
OLA Lacrosse
Hello... I removed the tag you applied to the OLA Jr. B league... I assure you it is notable... but it is a work in progress and is in the middle of being expanded. If you wish to discuss further... please contact me... or contact the Wikipedia:WikiProject Lacrosse. DMighton 03:35, 30 September 2006 (UTC)
- Thank you for the response. Yeah... the problem with lacrosse is that it does not have a huge internet following outside of messageboards and team/league pages. It is very grassroots... but Junior "A" and Junior "B" lacrosse are basically like Major Junior and Junior "A" hockey in Canada... they are pretty much direct feeders into the pro level... the National Lacrosse League. The league is mostly covered by Canadian newspapers... I have struggled in the past to find good "electronic" info. Luckily... I just found some excellent resources and have just started expanding this stuff today -- especially stats. DMighton 03:45, 30 September 2006 (UTC)

Hi Irongargoyle. Thanks for your addition of the "greece-bio-stub" category to the article Nicanor of Syria, but I've removed it as the article already contains all known information about the guy. Roller coaster images
Hi Irongargoyle. I noticed on your RfA talk page that you've uploaded a lot of unfree images of roller coasters. All of these rides, as far as I know, are active and accessible, so their images don't meet the first criterion of Wikipedia:Fair use#Policy and should really be deleted. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Best of luck on your RfA. ×Meegs 08:12, 30 September 2006 (UTC)

I just noticed you request it to be deleted. My friend found this page and showed it me, and beleive me, i found it amazing that another user has actualy put this on here! Its incredable to find words i used to use at school! im appaled you have decided against it, it is a slang term, and is hard to back up with a source other than user comments, such as this.
