Usually we're supposed to wait at least five days before closing AfDs, unless it obviously needs to be deleted. At this point we should probably wait. jj137 ♠ 01:53, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

- Done jj137 ♠ 02:04, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
- Closed the AfD and deleted the article; not the image though because I'm no expert on image copyrights (although, I know enough to perform some deletions). jj137 ♠ 02:10, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
- Got all of them. jj137 ♠ 02:33, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. On many keyboards, the tilde is entered by holding the Shift key, and pressing the key with the tilde pictured. You may also click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 02:32, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
It looks like the copyvio content has been removed. -- jj137 ♠ 02:59, 10 January 2008 (UTC)
Sorry, I absolutely did not demand the entry on the artist Eugene Boch to be merged to the entry on Vincent's van Gogh portrait of Eugène Boch. But I have to admit that most probably I myself caused the problem, when I moved the entry on Eugene Boch's portrait to Portraits, by Vincent van Gogh. So, please de-tag the entry on the artist. I'l try to expand it immediately. Thank you --rpd (talk) 23:03, 10 January 2008 (UTC)

Sorry, I have barely been online in the past 24 hours or so and haven't had time to reply to your messages. I still need to go through and get rid of all the actions you requested; and sure, I'll join the Patriots project. I'm more of a Bengals fan, but I'll help out anywhere sports related. jj137 ♠ 01:21, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
- They've done pretty bad the past two years. Ocho Cinco is probably my favorite player; his touchdown celebrations are hilarious. I'm actually going for the Pats in the playoffs not only because of their perfect season but they're usually who I go for when I'm tired of the Bengals losing (which is pretty often; yes, it is a strange situation I guess). I'm about an equal Reds and Red Sox fan in the MLB, BTW (there's a Reds WikiProject but nobody except myself ever participates). jj137 ♠ 01:37, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
- It definitely will be a good game. I think the Pats will probably win, because they've beaten better teams then the Jaguars. :) jj137 ♠ 01:50, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
- Cincinnati teams have been bad since the early 90s, it seems. :( The Celtics are probably my favorite NBA team. And yes, I did like them before they got really good this year. :) jj137 ♠ 02:03, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
- BTW, did you know non-admins can now get rollback? jj137 ♠ 02:04, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
- Actually, Twinkle is just a script anyone can use. Previously, the one-click rollback integrated into the system was limited to admins, but now any non-admin who applies can be granted it at WP:RFR. Trust me, it is a lot faster and easier than the Twinkle rollback... jj137 ♠ 02:10, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
- Rollback just gives you an extra button to revert much faster and save system overload (is that the right word usage?). You can still use Twinkle to warn users and do other tasks, though. jj137 ♠ 02:19, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
- You need to fix/redo your request. jj137 ♠ 02:20, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
- You still need to format it correctly. :) Just read the instructions about the {{subst:rfr||}} (or whatever it says). jj137 ♠ 02:25, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
- You still have to add your reason! :) jj137 ♠ 02:27, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
- I don't know, some sort of Latin thing I've never really understood. You formatted it correctly now, so it should get an answer within a few minutes (I grant lots of requests, but since I suggested it, I'll stay out :)). jj137 ♠ 02:31, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
Yes, thanks for correcting me.
I'm guessing you found me on jj's talk page. You didn't do anything wrong but I'm wondering how you found someone as small as I am.
I didn't get a chance to listen to the phone call. Brian sounded like an idiot though.
I've always liked Clemens, never loved. Liked.
By the way, I saw the football conversation above. If you check my user page you'll see I am a huge CHIEFS fan. I've been a football whiz most of my life. This is the first year I've really been big into baseball. --HPJoker Leave me a message 03:13, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
- Pats. They deserve it. I lived in KC for a long time and am a native Chiefs fan. I became a Sox fan in the beginning of the 2004 season, so I'm not a bandwagon fan. 2007 is the first year I've been a true Sox fan.
- By the way, I get the news off mlb.com. --HPJoker Leave me a message 00:06, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
Apparently the community doesn't care :]. Errr, the easiest way is to put a request to Wikipedia:Bot requests, or ask one of the people at WP:BAG. Hopefully someone will tweak his bot to do the job. Just don't operate with your own account, you don't have a bot flag and such high speed creation is disruptive (and the person running the bot is errr, taking the responsibility of the screwed up redirects ;)) -- lucasbfr talk 09:13, 11 January 2008 (UTC)
I know you receive the newsletter, right? Would you be interested in possibly writing an article occasionally? You don't have to. During the offseason we're releasing it every week or two, but it will become very active during the regular season. Just thought you might be interested. jj137 ♠ 00:36, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- Anything you want. Since it is the offseason and it has been hard to find news each week specifically related to the Red Sox, I don't see a problem writing content about other teams. jj137 ♠ 00:43, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- I'll add that to the newsletter. I think there's some sort of fair use on the baseball cards, but I'm pretty sure you can. jj137 ♠ 01:27, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- I would just take the body content of The Impossible Dream and copy and paste it into 1967 Red Sox season. You have it pretty close on the subpage, I think. :) jj137 ♠ 01:32, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- Someone can if they want. I will have to create it tonight if I am going to do it for this week's issue: I'm going to be gone tomorrow and not get back until... less than 2 hours before scheduled deadline, if I do decide to get on then. Obviously, you can create it if you want. jj137 ♠ 01:34, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- I deleted it. I will probably go through and copyedit the article. jj137 ♠ 01:39, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
Thanks! Also, I uploaded the image from my camera edited it with Picasa, and it looks pretty good. Please remove things that I have completed from the "To-dO" list. :) Thanks! Ohmpandya (Talk) 01:42, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- Great! I added you to the short list of people who wrote that article. jj137 ♠ 01:56, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- Aah, so there was an article on him. Good. jj137 ♠ 01:59, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- Nice job on adding that to the newsletter. To the infoboxes, I added a width parameter that made them larger. jj137 ♠ 03:08, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- Looks like it. The number of new articles (one) is fine, but I mean, it can't hurt to have more. Not a priority though. jj137 ♠ 03:11, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- On what? jj137 ♠ 03:13, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- OK, I can help. Actually, just last week or so someone asked me for their help to create other project, and I made User:Jj137/WPLAA as a rough layout. One of us could probably modify it some for the Celtics. jj137 ♠ 03:16, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:Bdoerr.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.
If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. Yep, and thanks for reverting. I blocked him for a month, because the same person vandalizes my user talk page every day under a different IP address. Nothing I can do but block them all. jj137 ♠ 03:21, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- For the draft, either one, it doesn't really matter. Whoa. That was weird. I'm watching ESPN, and just when I was about to type Boston Celtics they said that on TV. Cool. OK, well if you want you can go ahead and create the main page and work from there. On the draft, I had lots of little notes that I guess are helpful. jj137 ♠ 03:23, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- Go right ahead. On that page is, I think, everything you should need to get it started. I'll be willing to help anywhere, just tell me where/when. jj137 ♠ 03:28, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- As in, go through and create all of the templates? Sure. jj137 ♠ 03:31, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- Unfortunately we can't use the main Celtics logo because of fair use. :( That's why we mainly use the 100-year old logo for the Sox project, because it is in the public domain (no copyright). jj137 ♠ 03:33, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- No, that's the only place we're allowed to use it. Same with all of the main sports logos. jj137 ♠ 03:38, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- How do you like {{WikiProject Boston Celtics}}? We can change the picture if we find a better one. jj137 ♠ 03:41, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- For the Members, you can just have a basic list on the main page for now (see this for an example). I'll go ahead and create some templates. jj137 ♠ 03:49, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- When you add the template to your userpage it will automatically add the cat as well, but you have to add that cat to the template so that it will come with the template. See? jj137 ♠ 03:54, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
I'm not sure, we can search for one. jj137 ♠ 12:36, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
Thanks but no thanks. I'm never have been an NBA fan so I couldn't help. My teams are the Red Sox, the Chiefs, the LSU Tigers, KU Jayhawks, and K-State Wildcats. Thats it. Good luck! --HPJoker Leave me a message 20:29, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
Greetings! I removed the speedy delete notice on Gordon Jacob (he's a very major composer). Mindspillage wrote the first draft in 2005; if you look at the page of the alleged copyright holder, you will see they copied it from us. The allegedly copied text was in her first draft. They used our article as part of program notes for a euphonium recital that took place in late 2006, but without attribution (bad of them ... but unfortunately common). Cheers, Antandrus (talk) 01:35, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
- No problem! Thanks for doing all the new page patrol and copyvio searching; I wish we could catch them all... Antandrus (talk) 01:40, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
- Heh, went to paste my reply and see Antandrus has beaten me to it. Cheers, Kat Walsh (spill your mind?) 01:43, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
I've removed one of the speedy deletion tags you've placed as I disagree with the reasoning. The article is Duncormick, County Wexford, which you tagged as patent nonsense when it is clearly not. Can I ask you to review the Wikipedia:Patent nonsense guideline, and refrain from speedy tagging using this criterion which should really only be used for random characters and completely contextless nonsense. Thanks, --Canley (talk) 02:27, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
- I did indeed look at exactly the version you tagged, and while it wasn't great and has improved since then, it was still not anything like incoherent nonsense as would require a speedy deletion. --Canley (talk) 03:18, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
Firstly, nice new sig. How do I add my name to the WikiProject? Is there a designed place? Lastly, I can't really hand out a range block because this person's IP address is almost completely different each time. jj137 ♠ 03:26, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
- Aah, I did that. It may also be helpful to have a list somewhere, but that's up to you. jj137 ♠ 03:39, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
- Well, yes, that's helpful. I meant a list on the main page or a subpage, but the category is fine. jj137 ♠ 03:41, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
- Yep. :) jj137 ♠ 03:44, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
- Yes, I always make sure to block all of the IP addresses because he could eventually run out. jj137 ♠ 03:45, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
- I thought you were talking about the IP vandal on my userpage. :) Yes, I indef-blocked one guy and just deleted his user page (G11) on the other. The inappropriate username guy was blocked back in November 2006. jj137 ♠ 03:51, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
- Wow, I know. 17-0, including playoffs. I'm about to deliver the newsletter. jj137 ♠ 03:58, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
- I didn't think so. I didn't know you could manually change your IP address, though. jj137 ♠ 17:26, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
- I just block the IPs and move on. This guy is just upset because of an edit(s) I made to Bobby Farrell. jj137 ♠ 17:31, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
- I know, it's stupid, right? He pretty much has no life, just vandalizing my talk page randomly, changing his IP address, and repeating. What a waste of time. jj137 ♠ 17:35, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
- Got it. jj137 ♠ 17:38, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

Now that you've proposed the idea, I agree with out. I have already taken the liberty of adding the content to the piracy article appropriately, and the Pirate (Piracy) article should be removed now. Are you an administrator, who can delete the article? AbJ32 (talk) 15:39, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
Well, JJBot was just approved yesterday, but that was only for WP:SOX newsletter. If I wanted it to do the same thing for your WikiProject, I could just open another RFBA and then if it was approved it could deliver for that project too. Optionally, there are some other delivery bots such as User:BrownBot and User:DeliveryBot which will, I think, deliver for any project. Whichever works best; the reason I chose to use my own bot for the WP:SOX delivery instead of some other bot was because then I could customize the requests myself, etc. as well as the fact I'm more familiar with that newsletter than some other random person. So if you would like me to open another RFBA at some point for delivery of your project, I'd be willing. jj137 ♠ 17:47, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
- I'm going to give that article a few more minutes in case the author is expanding it. And, yes, I can help start a newsletter. jj137 ♠ 17:52, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
- Deleted it. I created a very basic page at WP:CELTICSNEWS (about to create that shortcut) where we can start, and then there can be a subpage of that (a newsroom) where we work. (I got that idea off WP:BOSOX/NEWSROOM) jj137 ♠ 17:55, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
- I don't think so. I'll create a template for the newsletter. jj137 ♠ 18:01, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
- Looks good. I'm still working on the template. jj137 ♠ 18:08, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
- How do you like this for a rough template? Feel free to change it however you like because I roughly based it off the Sox newsletter template, and it could still use some changing. jj137 ♠ 18:25, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
- Thanks, and now LT has lost the ball. jj137 ♠ 19:08, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

Ohmpandya... I'm quite perplexed. Read the article Curiosity quotient and note the links of author, journalist, Thomas Friedman, Intelligent Quotient, curiosity, passion, global markets, Indian, outsourcing, and NASSCOM. However when a What Links Here is performed, only Passion shows as a link. Something is in error here. Have any idea what causes this? Noles1984 (talk) 15:05, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
- Hello Noles1984. Thanks for the question. This is often misunderstood, (I made this same mistake). "What Links here" are links of pages that have links to the Curiosity quotient article. For example , if you will check what links here now on that article it will say (along with everything else) "User talk:Noles1984". That is the reason the article is orphaned. You do have some good links to other articles though. Ohmpandya (Talk to Me...) 15:09, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
- So, Ohmpandya, how can this appearance of no links be remedied? I'm anxious to move on to other editing. Noles1984 (talk) 15:21, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
- I think I understand now. I thought links were noted automatically by Wiki. I'll edit some articles i.e., Thomas Friedman so that this article links up. Thanks. Noles1984 (talk) 15:25, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
- You did quite a nice job on the article. Unfortunately, to add links to the article, you will need to find articles (other ones) that have something to do with Curiosity quotient, and links from there. (You will have to write a little about how they connect). However if Curiosity quotient is already there, but it is not linked, (it does not have [[ or ]] surrounding Curiosity quotient, then you can simply add the brackets around it, and it will ad a link. Until then the article is orphaned. Feel free to ask other questions. Ohmpandya (Talk to Me...) 15:29, 14 January 2008 (UTC)
