There are many ways you can contribute to Wikipedia. Here are a few ideas:

To get some practice editing you can use a sandbox. You can create your own personal sandbox for use any time. It's perfect for working on bigger projects. Then for easy access in the future, you can put {{My sandbox}}
on your user page. By the way, seeing as you haven't created a user page yet, simply click here to start it.
Please remember to:
- Always sign your posts on talk pages. You can do this either by clicking on the button on the edit toolbar or by typing four tildes
~~~~
at the end of your post. This will automatically insert your signature, a link to your talk page, and a timestamp. - Leave descriptive edit summaries for your edits. Doing so helps other editors understand what changes you have made and why you made them.
Paid editing?
[edit]Hello Indiansocialwork. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Indiansocialwork. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Indiansocialwork|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. Theroadislong (talk) 09:35, 27 December 2020 (UTC)
hi this is not a paid edit
- It appears that you are related to the article you are editing even if you are not paid. Vikram Vincent 11:13, 27 December 2020 (UTC)
[edit]Please do not remove speedy deletion notices from pages you have created yourself, as you did with Draft:Rajendra Baikady. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion, which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you. Hello, Indiansocialwork. We welcome your contributions, but if you have an external relationship with the people, places or things you have written about in the page Draft:Rajendra Baikady, you may have a conflict of interest (COI). Editors with a conflict of interest may be unduly influenced by their connection to the topic. See the conflict of interest guideline and FAQ for organizations for more information. We ask that you:
- avoid editing or creating articles about yourself, your family, friends, colleagues, company, organization or competitors;
- propose changes on the talk pages of affected articles (you can use the {{request edit}} template);
- disclose your conflict of interest when discussing affected articles (see Wikipedia:Conflict of interest#How to disclose a COI);
- avoid linking to your organization's website in other articles (see WP:Spam);
- do your best to comply with Wikipedia's content policies.
In addition, you are required by the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use to disclose your employer, client, and affiliation with respect to any contribution which forms all or part of work for which you receive, or expect to receive, compensation. See Wikipedia:Paid-contribution disclosure.
Also, editing for the purpose of advertising, publicising, or promoting anyone or anything is not permitted. Thank you.
Conflict of interest
[edit]Hi there, more than one editor has approached you to note that your editing efforts resembled paid editing or that they think you have a conflict of interest. I too believe that you have a conflict of interest and I'm curious why you haven't bothered declaring that yet. Surely you're aware that having a conflict of interest would be an ethical problem, but hiding that conflict of interest would be even more unethical. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 17:12, 10 January 2021 (UTC)
Dear Cyphoidbomb thank you for the message and advice. I hereby declare that I am neither paid for creating this article nor have any other conflicts of interest.
Draft talk:Rajendra Baikady
[edit]Hi there, are you aware that you've made six edits at Draft talk:Rajendra Baikady, where blank lines were needlessly introduced onto the page? I'm not sure what you're doing but if you want to make test edits, you should use your sandbox. This is also in addition to weird edits like these, where you introduce blank lines and apply an incorrectly time-stamped signature in the middle of a substituted signature. Please be more careful. Thank you. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 17:28, 12 March 2021 (UTC)
Request reason:
Dear Admin I believe i have been blocked from editing this page by mistake. May I please request the unblock Indiansocialwork (talk) 16:14, 27 January 2023 (UTC)
Decline reason:
I see no block on this account, please tell the message that appears when you attempt to make an edit. I was tempted to impose a block, as you quite obviously have some sort of connection to the subject of your edits(the only subject you have edited about ever), despite your denials above. I suggest that you either disclose your connection or tell how you came to edit about this person. 331dot (talk) 16:42, 27 January 2023 (UTC)
If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
