2024 North Indian Ocean cyclone season

[edit]

Please use the IMD archives, which are here, to source the info. Just using the current cyclone part of the site is pointless as it won't show the same info in a few hours. Tavantius (talk) 20:26, 24 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Tavantius thank you. will update the citations. Igobymanynames1 (talk) 01:09, 25 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
When are you planning to do that? You're still using the current cyclone part of the site in recent edits? Tavantius (talk) 14:56, 25 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
@Tavantius Thank you for reminding. I have done the needful :D Igobymanynames1 (talk) 18:15, 25 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Sumanuil. Thank you for your recent contributions to Cyclone Dana. I noticed that you added an image to the article's infobox as a thumbnail. In future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox, as this is against the Manual of Style. When adding an image, supply only the filename to the |image= parameter and the caption to the |caption= parameter instead. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using; please consult the Template page for the infobox being used on that page for proper instructions and documentation. Thanks! - Sumanuil. (talk to me) 06:07, 27 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Saraighat Express, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Amrit Bharat. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Azad Hind Express, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. - Sumanuil. (talk to me) 08:18, 5 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm Sumanuil. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Azad Hind Express, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. - Sumanuil. (talk to me) 23:31, 5 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Be careful about citations

[edit]

Hello! Watch out for citations that gets updated constantly and no longer shows correct information. This link (https://mausam.imd.gov.in/imd_latest/contents/cyclone.php#.) gets updated constantly and old information gets lost. Some of the information from Cyclone Fengal no longer has the citation showing correct information as a result. To prevent this, use Wayback Machine to archive websites to preserve information.
