November 2022

Information icon Hello, I'm Kerry Raymond. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Shire of Boulia, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. It's great to update the census figures but you must update the citation to the 2021 census data. Hi Kerry. I apologise for the mistake, I simply forgot to add the citation when I made the edit. It has been fixed now. thank you for pulling me up on this IAmSeamonkey2 (talk) 10:18, 21 November 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Infobox legislature

[edit]

I noticed your addition of the infobox legislature to Lockyer Valley Region. While there is nothing wrong with adding infoboxes, there is still the normal expectation for the information to be reliably sourced and particularly so when living people are involved. The sourcing can be in the article or the infobox. I can see the list of mayor, deputy and other councillors can be found here so that's easy enough to add, but the information about political groupings is not there. Nor is it at the electoral commission's website. Where is that coming from? As a second issue, I am not sure that Independent (LNP) is a valid political grouping. This is a common confusion we have with councils where someone who is a member of a political party was elected to a council, but, if they did not stand for election as a candidate for that party, then they are independents as far as the council composition is concerned. So either that one person contested as an LNP candidate or they contested as an independent. It's generally only the larger cities where candidates contest as party members, for the smaller communities, they normally contest as independents. Kerry (talk) 05:47, 9 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
