You may wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.
The article Daniel Smales has been speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This was done because the article, which appeared to be about a real person, individual animal, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, did not indicate how or why the subject is notable, that is, why an article about that subject should be included in Wikipedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the notability of the subject may be deleted at any time. If you can indicate why the subject is really notable, you are free to re-create the article, making sure to cite any verifiable sources.
Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, and for specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for musicians, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. NawlinWiki (talk) 19:36, 25 July 2013 (UTC)
This person is in a film? does he not deserve credit?
- One appearance in one film - particularly one that has not been released yet - doesn't satisfy our notability standards, see WP:N. Also, notability must be supported by reliable independent sources, see WP:V. Nevertheless, as you requested, I've moved the deleted article to your userspace at User:Hunterabercrombie1/Daniel Smales. NawlinWiki (talk) 21:55, 25 July 2013 (UTC)
The article Daniel Smales has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Fiddle Faddle 13:47, 6 September 2013 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Daniel Smales
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Daniel Smales, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Fiddle Faddle 13:50, 6 September 2013 (UTC)

[edit]Thank you for your recent contributions, such as Daniel Smales. Getting started creating new articles on Wikipedia can be tricky, and you might like to try creating a draft version first, which you can then ask for feedback on if necessary, with less risk of deletion. Do make sure you also read help available to you, including Your First Article and the Tutorial. You might also like to try the Article Wizard, which has an option to create a draft version. Thank you. Cindy(talk) 14:50, 6 September 2013 (UTC)
- Cindy has good advice for you. Please take it. At present Daniel Smales is not a useful article because, no matter how often you say he has stature, notability is not present, nor is verifiability in reliable sources. PLease consider carefully that repeated reintroduction of the article is likely to be viewed as disruptive editing, so may lead to blocks here. Please look at the articles for creation programme. That is your best route forward. But do not be tempted to bypass any of the steps.
- Believe it or believe it not, we want articles here, but there are non negotiable barriers to entry. Fiddle Faddle 17:12, 6 September 2013 (UTC)

[edit]Hi, and thanks for your work on the English Wikipedia.
I noticed an article you worked on. Just a short note to point out that we don’t normally link:
- dates
- years
- commonly known geographical terms (including well-known country-names), and
- common terms you’d look up in a dictionary (unless significantly technical).
This even applies for infoboxes.
Also, if you could watch the capital letters, which are tending to be overused.
Thanks and my best wishes.
