Pweto Territory

[edit]

I have undone the changes you made attempting to merge the Pweto Territory with the town of Pweto. If you click on this link you will see a map showing both the territory and the town. A search on "Territoire de Pweto" shows many references. Why did you think it does not exist? Aymatth2 (talk) 17:53, 22 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I think I see the cause of confusion. There is a Pweto health zone on the map, rather smaller than the territory. Wikipedia coverage of territories in the DRC is terrible, although there are many online sources. Coverage of the next level down, chiefdoms and sectors, is next to non-existent. If you are bored and want some routine but useful stuff to do... Aymatth2 (talk) 19:24, 22 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]
You may want to look at Plateaux District, which now has an infobox and some very basic information from a map. It makes the article a bit more useful and is easy enough to do. The same fairly standardized approach could be applied to territories. Kwango District also has an infobox, plus a link to Kwango Province. Someone jumped the gun and started articles for the planned provinces, even though it may be a long time before they come into existence, if ever. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
