Welcome!

Hello, Hitech2020, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions.

I notice that one of the first articles you edited was Basmah bint Saud, which appears to be dealing with a topic with which you may have a conflict of interest. In other words, you may find it difficult to write about that topic in a neutral and objective way, because you are, work for, or represent, the subject of that article. Your recent contributions may have already been undone for this very reason.

To reduce the chances of your contributions being undone, you might like to draft your revised article before submission, and then ask me or any other editor to proofread it. See our help page on userspace drafts for more details. If the page you created has already been deleted from Wikipedia, but you want to save the content from it to use for that draft, don't hesitate to ask anyone from this list and they will copy it to your user page.

One firm rule we do have in connection with conflicts of interest is that accounts used by more than one person will unfortunately be blocked from editing. Wikipedia generally does not allow editors to have usernames which imply that the account belongs to a company or corporation. If you have a username like this, you should request a change of username or create a new account. (A name that identifies the user as an individual within a given organization may be OK.)

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your messages on talk pages using four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page, or ask your question on this page and then place {{help me}} before the question. Again, welcome! [edit]

Hello, Hitech2020. We welcome your contributions to Wikipedia, but if you are affiliated with some of the people, places or things you have written about in the article Basmah bint Saud, you may have a conflict of interest or close connection to the subject.

All editors are required to comply with Wikipedia's neutral point of view content policy. People who are very close to a subject often have a distorted view of it, which may cause them to inadvertently edit in ways that make the article either too flattering or too disparaging. People with a close connection to a subject are not absolutely prohibited from editing about that subject, but they need to be especially careful about ensuring their edits are verified by reliable sources and writing with as little bias as possible.

If you are very close to a subject, here are some ways you can reduce the risk of problems:

  • Avoid or exercise great caution when editing or creating articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with.
  • Be cautious about deletion discussions. Everyone is welcome to provide information about independent sources in deletion discussions, but avoid advocating for deletion of articles about your competitors.
  • Avoid linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam).
  • Exercise great caution so that you do not accidentally breach Wikipedia's content policies.

Please familiarize yourself with relevant content policies and guidelines, especially those pertaining to neutral point of view, verifiability of information, and autobiographies.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have a conflict of interest, please see our frequently asked questions for organizations. Thank you. Fiddle Faddle (talk) 20:49, 23 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Addition

[edit]

The page doesn't involve any defamatory info about her and uses her official website, this, as a source. In fact it is one of the mostly cited sources. The other sources are all reliable and accesible (not dead). It is hard to understand what is the problem with the page. I think it is very neutral and encyclopedic. Egeymi (talk) 20:57, 23 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Do not send me emails

[edit]

You emailed me with some sort of official version of an article. Do not do it. I have n interest in either revealing my email address to you by replying, nor in taking the slightest bit of notice of your email. I have no idea who you are, nor do I care. Your email appears to be an attempt by you to pass yourself off as someone you are not.

Wikipedia articles are not created or edited at the whim of any individual, nor is there ever an official version. All material on Wikipedia musty be verified in reliable sources. Anything that is not may and should be challenged. Anything that is may only be removed by consensus. You are not consensus, but you may seek to influence it i proper ways. Email canvassing behind the scenes is not a proper way. Fiddle Faddle (talk) 21:24, 23 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Which part of "Do not send me emails" do you not understand? It is not hard, but you did it again, and are representing yourself as someone you may well not be. I will talk to you on your talk page or on mine, but not ever by email. Fiddle Faddle (talk) 11:03, 24 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Reliable sources

[edit]

I am about to place a welcome message at the head of this page which will give you a greater understanding of how to work here. I have reverted your additions from a lady's passport since this is not a valid source here. Fiddle Faddle (talk) 10:19, 24 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please read the bulleted items in that welcome message. Your valid edits are welcome here, though I counsel you away form articles where you have a conflict of interest. If you insist in editing such articles and have an official position you wish to put forward, I am not competent to judge how to handle that, but one of our administrators will be. To ask an administrator to help[ please place the text {{Adminhelpme}} on this page, here, with your specific question phrased below it. After a short wait a helpful admin will arive and give you guidance. Be as specific as you can with your question, but do not replicate the version of the article you wish to have. Talal Bin Sultan Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud

[edit]

You have claimed in your article on Talal Bin Sultan Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud that he is the son of Sultan bin Abdulaziz and Princess Hana al-Hashemi, however, the article on Sultan Bin Abdulaziz does not mention a wife of this name, nor a son named Talal, nor can any other independent source be found to verify this fact. Admittedly, I am searching in English, and such sources might be available only in Arabic. However, I call on you, as the creator of the article, to provide an independent reliable source for this claim. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 11:02, 1 May 2013 (UTC) Well i want to clarify this by providing the french Wikipedia which did mention that he is the son of Sultan Bin Abdul Aziz Al Saud and this is the link : http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sultan_ben_Abdelaziz_Al_Saoud[reply]

If you look at the source given in the page that you provided above, you will see that the source does not support the claim. So it is unreliable info in the French WP page. Egeymi (talk) 21:02, 5 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
