Track listings

Hi, there. I am attempting to clean up the track listings on many of the pages listing Elvis Presley's albums using Wikipedia's track listing template. Is the any sufficient reason as to why you are undoing my work without any explanation? Jimknut (talk) 21:57, 10 May 2013 (UTC)

I did it because what are you doing ok is good but for a table it's ok why you change it why?? it have a recording date,musician,release dates,time yeah it's ok you unnecessary change pages

Hi. By undoing my work you are restoring bad links and uncited information. For the track listings of the original releases of Presley's albums I have retained all the basic information that is already there: Song title, song writers, recording date, and running time. I have merely used a template to organize this information so that it looks better. I see no need to include a listing of chart positions in these templates since that information is already listed in the text of the article.

Check out carefully how my changes look. The chart is better organized, the basic information is retained, song titles are placed in quotation marks (" "), dates are spelled out (which is proper for the English language), the red links are removed, and the other links are corrected (such as "I Got A Woman" to "I Got a Woman").

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be engaged in an edit war with one or more editors according to your reverts at Article. Although repeatedly reverting or undoing another editor's contributions may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, and often creates animosity between editors. Instead of edit warring, please try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. While edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, breaking the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. Thank you. Please do not use styles that are unusual, inappropriate or difficult to understand in articles. There is a Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. Thank you. I hope you can understand how serious this is (mainly the edit warring). Please see WP:WikiProject Albums/Album article style guide#Track listing examples. You'll see that there are 3 ways to list tracks. One is in table form, but your tables do not go according to the acceptable style (as I have changed someone to). Not only are your edits not according to MOS, but they also go against consensus. It might be better for you to edit at simple.wikipedia or the Wiki of your first language. In this case I see you correctly deleted the album's release history from the Infobox.
