Sources
[edit]Please do not add or change content, as you did at Sweta Singh, without citing a reliable source using an inline citation that clearly supports the material. The burden is on the person wishing to keep in the material to meet these requirements, as a necessary (but not always sufficient) condition. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you.--Jezebel's Ponyobons mots 18:19, 3 February 2017 (UTC)

You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you add unsourced material to Wikipedia, as you did with this edit to Sasural Simar Ka. Jim1138 (talk) 07:25, 7 February 2017 (UTC)
References
[edit]Adding references is how we ensure that content is valid. Without references, a reader can not easily validate information and there is no presumption of accuracy. See Help:Referencing for beginners and Help:footnotes. This is covered by the Wikipedia policy of wp:verifiability (WP:V). Please wp:cite your edits with wp:reliable sources (RS). Per WP:V unsourced content can be removed. Thank you Jim1138 (talk) 07:25, 7 February 2017 (UTC)
The article Nikki Sharma has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.
If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Hi there, re: this, please see WP:TVPLOT. The plot section of TV articles should not exceed 500 words and should stay focused on the series in general, not episode-by-episode descriptions. If you want to take a stab at writing a list of episodes, you could do that. If you have questions, I'm happy to answer them. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 20:17, 12 February 2017 (UTC)
- I've removed content you added here, because again, you're ignoring the 500 word plot section limit. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 19:28, 25 February 2017 (UTC)

Hi there. Regarding these edits, I'm curious if while you were editing it occurred to you at all that the entire cast section is a ridiculous mess. All of the "antagonist/protagonist" stuff needs to be cut. These are all interpretive labels and it's not our job to editorialise. Even from a logic standpoint, a character cannot be a protagonist if they are a supporting character. A protagonist is "the leading character, hero, or heroine of a drama or other literary work." So the use of "protagonist" and "antagonist" as loosely as it's being used at Sasural Simar Ka is just totally incorrect. The use of parentheticals in the section is also absurd. You might want to consider looking at List of Millennium characters for an example of more appropriate way to deliver cast information. The current arrangement is extraordinarily poor, which is why there's a giant cleanup banner at the top of it. All of the genders should be removed. We don't write for space aliens--a reader should be able to distinguish between males and females without being spoonfed the information. "Lead" and "parallel" this-and-that are also interpretive and should either be sourced or removed. Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 14:57, 20 March 2017 (UTC)
- Hi again, while these changes are a good hustle, cast tables are typically used in conjunction with proper descriptions and real-world information. Using List of Millennium characters#Main characters as an example, while cast tables are employed in the article, the character descriptions are fairly thorough. While we might not presently be able to have comparable depth, some information about who the characters are would be useful. You could also see List of SpongeBob SquarePants characters as another example. Though we shouldn't get too bogged down on "in-universe" content, brief descriptions are perfectly suitable. Examples:
- Jane Doe (portrayed by Robin Shah) is a recent divorcee who, after spending 20 years married to a controlling husband, is seeking out a new life as a fortune hunter.
- Carmen Doe (portrayed by Sandy Singh) is Robin's sister, a street-smart college graduate who is embroiled in a complicated love triangle.
- That would sort of be the bare minimum for a TV article. Regards, Cyphoidbomb (talk) 03:56, 21 March 2017 (UTC)

Unconstructive change to maintenance template and plot bloat
[edit]Hi there, re: this edit, I don't consider this terribly helpful. You changed a maintenance template so that it was no longer consistent with community standards. Per WP:TVPLOT, the plot summary of a TV article should not exceed 500 words. Changing it to 2000 looks like you are trying to bypass community consensus by unilaterally encouraging plot bloat. Further, adding to a section that is already far too long doesn't resolve the greater issue of length. If you like the series and are interested in writing episode summaries, then the way to do that is to establish a list of episodes just like all the other TV articles do. I can help you build the framework for that if you are interested, but it would ultimately be a big challenge since there are 600+ episodes.
Lastly, I have to encourage you to start discussing these issues, please. Editors who make changes without explanations, who don't open discussions on talk pages, and who don't participate in discussions when issues like these are brought to their attention almost always wind up under negative scrutiny. Wikipedia is a community project, so interaction with other editors is crucial. Thanks. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 13:24, 25 March 2017 (UTC)
Hi, please stop bringing cast articles out of alignment with WP:TVCAST as you've again done here. Prose is favored by WikiProject Television over data tables, and your changes inexplicably remove information about who the characters are and what roles they have in the overall narrative, as well as real-world content, such as why Shivani Tomar left and why Sengar was brought back. Why you would remove this, is beyond comprehension. You need to seek consensus for these changes by opening a discussion on the article's talk page and/or discussing with members of WikiProject Television who might be able to better guide your efforts. Hi again, re: these changes, please note that boldface should not be used in this way. You might benefit from familiarising yourself with our Manual of Style, which helps editors understand what sorts of style choices are appropriate for Wikipedia. How boldface works, italics, what dashes to use in date ranges, things like that. Thanks. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 13:01, 3 April 2017 (UTC)
Look man, you're making things needlessly difficult when you continue to misuse boldface, which doesn't belong in the middle of sentences and should be used sparingly, when you capitalise words like "present" which are not proper nouns, nor do they start sentences, when you use em dashes — when you should be using en dashes – and when you re-add inappropriate interpretive labels like "protagonist". I've tried to make this easier for you by fixing these problems myself, educating you and pointing you to community guidelines on the issues. I implore you to please get up to speed on these things, because if you continue to create more needless work, it will very likely result in your editing privileges being interrupted. This is a community project. The community has opinions on how things should look, and those opinions supersede yours. I strongly advise you to brush up on WP:MOS and MOS:TV. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 02:44, 6 April 2017 (UTC)
- Oh, and just so there's at least a sense of hope, if you don't know where something can be found, wait before editing it, and feel free to ask someone, like me, or anyone at WikiProject Television, or if you have general questions, try the help desk. Editing hastily with no awareness of what the community guidelines are is not the preferred method. Wikipedia has no deadline. We're not in a rush to change/fix things. You can take your time. Final request to include reliable sources

Season 1
[edit]Hi there, I don't understand this edit. The cast section, when it was organized by season, was a mess, replete with repetitive content. The new version eliminates the repetition. I still feel like you've not yet read WP:TVCAST, or taken a look at List of Millennium characters#Main characters, as an example of our goal. That's unfortunate. Whatever your thoughts are, you should participate in this discussion, as consensus is determined through discussion, and your repeated silent edits are not terribly conducive to a community project. Thank you. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 02:31, 6 June 2017 (UTC)
In this edit I removed the bulk of the wikilinks from the table you created. Per WP:OVERLINK:
"An overlinked article contains an excessive number of links, making it difficult to identify links likely to aid the reader's understanding significantly. A 2015 study of log data found that "in the English Wikipedia, of all the 800,000 links added ... in February 2015, the majority (66%) were not clicked even a single time in March 2015, and among the rest, most links were clicked only very rarely", and that "simply adding more links does not increase the overall number of clicks taken from a page. Instead, links compete with each other for user attention. ... Generally, a link should appear only once in an article, but if helpful for readers, a link may be repeated in infoboxes, tables, image captions, footnotes, hatnotes, and at the first occurrence after the lead."
By "repeated", they mean "repeated once more", with the emphasis being that repeated links are not considered helpful. It would be appreciated if you'd please fix other instances of this that you've created. Thank you. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 15:39, 7 June 2017 (UTC)

. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 18:23, 11 June 2017 (UTC)Your edits require constant supervision and none of the previous notices on your page haven't yielded much improvement in your edits. Here you remove a cleanup template without fixing the problem. Why? You've been told numerous times that your edits contravene various Manual of Style guidelines including WP:OVERLINK, MOS:HEAD, MOS:TV and so forth. Your failure to adhere to these guidelines or to fix the errors you've introduced into articles is problematic to begin with, but your persistent silence is also problematic, because it looks like you're just ignoring notices to continue doing what you want. This is a community project. Start adhering to community guidelines, and fix the problems you've created. It's not the job of other editors to clean up after you. Unsourced original research
[edit]Re: this and this, if you are a professional media analyst, please provide links to your professionally published articles about Thapki Pyar Ki's cancellation. If you are not a media analyst who publishes professional articles in mainstream sources, then your observations and analyses don't belong in Wikipedia articles. We write about what can be sourced. If you don't provide sources that say the stuff you're saying, then from any reasonable editor's perspective, the content is entirely fabricated. If you want to write your opinions about TV shows, they are blogs for that. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 15:48, 23 June 2017 (UTC)

[edit]{{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}
. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:25, 14 July 2017 (UTC)Please consider this your last warning about Manual of Style issues.
- Here, you inexplicably capitalise "present" despite it not being the beginning of a sentence or a proper noun.
- Here, you add spaces in a date range, which we do not do per MOS:NUM.
- Here again, you inexplicably capitalise "present".
- Here, you capitalise "Track" even though I explained to you a month ago that we use "Sentence case" not "Title Case" in section headers. MOS:HEAD
- Here you convert a date range from YYYY to YY, despite MOS:DATERANGE.
I don't know how to communicate to you that your edits need to be consistent with community preference. If you continue this after this block expires, I will block you indefinitely. It's just ridiculous that you're going out of your way to create inconsistencies with community preferences. It's also ridiculous that your edits require constant babysitting, considering you've been given every opportunity to get familiar with our content guidelines. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:27, 14 July 2017 (UTC)
What happened to Simar?
[edit]Somewhere in these changes you removed from the lead the statement "Later in 2017, Keerti Gaekwad Kelkar replaced Dipika as Simar." You also moved Dipika Kakar from the Main cast section down to Recurring cast. Why? Wasn't Dipika Kakar part of the main cast if he played Simar? Please note that I expect a satisfactory answer about this. And why did you remove the explanation from the lead? I expect an answer about this as well. Also, what's with the overuse of parentheticals in the cast section? Why aren't you using complete sentences as we typically do in television cast lists? Please answer this as well. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 16:01, 1 August 2017 (UTC)
- I am sorry for removing satement. Keerti Gaekwad Kelkar is main. Dipika Kakar is no longer main lead as she had quit the show. But if you want, I will move these characters to Main cast. Hamza590 (talk) 15:11, 2 August 2017 (UTC)
- I appreciate your reply. I'm a bit confused, as I've pointed you to WP:TVCAST several times. Cast members, even if they leave the series, still belong in either Main or Recurring, depending on their role in the series. New cast members are added to the bottom of each list. So it's very possibly that people who have left the series will be featured above people who have been added to the show recently. That's the Wikipedia community's preference. So yes, those people should be moved back, as should anybody who you moved up or down in the ranks. I would still appreciate answers to the other questions, though. Thank you.
