Impeachment of Andrew Johnson: Revision Undone
1. I changed, "That opinion was rejected by scholars" to "That opinion was rejected by *selected* scholars," because the source cited is only the opinion of one author.
2. You inexplicably removed the comment that some senators, including John Sherman and even Charles Sumner, admitted they were wrong to vote for Andrew Johnson's conviction. My sources are provided below.* The removal was done without reference to any source to the contrary.
- Chester G. Hearn "The Impeachment of Andrew Johnson" (Jefferson, N.C. McFarland Publishing, 2000), 202; Andrew Craven "Reconstruction: Ending of the Civil War," (New York: Holt Reinhart and Winston, 1969), 221 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.59.84.189 (talk) 00:34, 13 March 2016 (UTC)
