GameCube online gaming

[edit]

I wanted to further explain why I reverted your edit. The Super Famicom did have the Satellaview add-on, that enabled the console to connect online and download playable content. However, in the traditional sense of the term "online gaming", this wasn't the same as the game itself being online. As a player, you weren't interacting with online components within the game, and you had to connect during certain periods of the day when the service – operated by a company called St. Giga – was available. Gameplay wasn't bidirectional, meaning the console was only downloading, not uploading.

I do appreciate the fact that you pointed this out, however. Some mention of this in the article is probably needed to further clarify what form of "online gaming" we're talking about. --GoneIn60 (talk) 20:50, 23 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed that GameCube could use clarification as to its usage of the term "online gaming". ☺ · Salvidrim! ·  20:54, 23 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
OK, I will work on clarifying the term "online gaming", and feel free to make those changes if you can get to it before me. Thanks. --GoneIn60 (talk) 21:05, 23 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
