Gus Gordon
[edit]welcome to Wikipedia, and thanks for taking the time to create an article on Gus Gordon. I've added a couple of tags to it and just wanted to explain why.
Firstly the article doesn't particularly explain why Gordon is notable enough for inclusion in an encyclopedia. Examples of what might indicate notability could include any significant awards he's won, any independent coverage in reliable sources (for example, a biographical article in a metro newspaper or prominent literary magazine), evidence that his children's books are used in academia or extensively influenced other writers or illustrators. Without evidence of notability the article might eventually get deleted - to avoid this I'd encourage you to add anything that might meet the notability criteria I linked to above.
Secondly, the article doesn't cotnain any references. I don't doubt all of its content is true but it needs some inline citations to make it clear to a reader where the information came from. Let em know if what I'm suggesting here isn't clear, or have a look at WP:CITATION which gives more detail.
Feel free to let me know if I can help with any of them above. Euryalus (talk) 05:11, 22 May 2009 (UTC)

[edit]Please do not write or add to an article about yourself, as you apparently did at Gus Gordon. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to an existing article about yourself, please propose the changes on its talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was my page deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss it with the deleting administrator. Thank you.
