Hi! The Frederick Russell Burnham FAR is still ongoing and has been moved to FARC. If you have the time, it would be appreciated if you could revisit your comments there, and perhaps give us your opinion as to whether the article should be kept as a FA or delisted. Thanks! Wikimania Education Meet-Up

Thanks for signing up on the original Wikimania Education Meet-Up list! I'm really excited to see everyone at Wikimania this year, and I'm starting to plan what we could do and when we could have our Education Meet-Up. I've created a form to collect information] from everyone who's interested in coming on what times work best, what activities people are most interested in during the meet-up, and what everyone's T-shirt size is. :) Please fill out the form, and I look forward to seeing you there! -- LiAnna Davis (WMF) (talk) 21:30, 11 May 2012 (UTC)

Ferahgo the Assassin

Is there a way she could get a topic ban instead of an indef ban? She is very helpful in palaeontology related topics, and I, and many others in the palaeontology projects, would feel that it would be a great loss if she was unable to contribute there. She also provides excellent illustrations of extinct animals. FunkMonk (talk) 10:41, 14 May 2012 (UTC)

Sorry, I am only the messenger. I do not have a role in making decisions. You could ask arbcom this but here is the thing: she was already under an indefinite topic ban at the start of the case. The arbs knew this and chose to ban her for no less than a year. I am certain that your request will be rejected. cheers --Guerillero | My Talk 17:36, 14 May 2012 (UTC)
Ah, didn't know that, I haven't followed the case, just had her talk page on watch. Too bad then, but thanks. FunkMonk (talk) 17:38, 14 May 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for the reply at AN/I. I recently came back from an indefinite block for edit warring, so, unless it's downright vandalism, I've been extremely careful on reverting stuff more than once that I'm not familiar with. - Zhou Yu (talk) 13:35, 15 May 2012 (UTC)

Well, not a question, but more like "I made a general statement over at the 'crat noticeboard". See my follow-up at Wikipedia:Bureaucrats' noticeboard#Rich Farmbrough De-sysop at your earliest convenience, if you would. Thanks. EVula // talk // // 21:44, 15 May 2012 (UTC)

Protection of my user page and Jprg1966's

It seems like another IP (218.188.39.33) is attacking our talk pages now, exactly like the Vandal you just blocked. Seems like Warning and Reverting would just waste time here. Achowat (talk) 18:02, 18 May 2012 (UTC)

The IP 24.171.168.132 is a school IP address. I recommend keeping it blocked. :) -Runningblader 11:39, 21 May 2012 (UTC)

The IP has never been blocked before. 48 hours is a good starting point. If they vandalize again and again the blocks can progress up to 6 months - 2 years --Guerillero | My Talk 16:20, 21 May 2012 (UTC)

Here is the list

List of monuments of the Gettysburg Battlefield. A lot of these are from a day I spent tramping around. Many listed have poctures, but there are many more. The 3rd Michigan(I think) recently came up in a discussion about Lorado Taft, so that would be a great one to include. Happy hunting, wish that I were along. Thanks

For your filemover. I will try my best to do well here. Btw, could you please remove filemover bit from my old account. I don't use it anymore. Thanks in advance--Morning Sunshine (talk) 06:13, 25 May 2012 (UTC)

Note the list isn't really to list "bad" images in the sense of any moral judgment, it's to list images that are prone to misuse in vandalism. Since most image-posting vandals are doing it for shock value, these sets often overlap (for common definitions of "bad", anyway), but the overlap is not perfect. I'm not going to revert your removals or even ask you to do so—after all, the vandals misusing those images may have moved on long ago—but from your edit summaries I thought you might not be aware of this distinction.

BTW, T16281 is about renaming it to something with less implication of morality, but it has to be done in code and there is no consensus on a new name. Anomie 11:00, 25 May 2012 (UTC)

Thanks for the notice. I agree with that bug. I have been working with Russavia (talk · contribs), an admin and crat over at commons, to reduce the size of the list. A good chunk of the images have been deleted by him. --Guerillero | My Talk 15:20, 25 May 2012 (UTC)

Greetings Guerillero. As the case clerk for WP:Arbitration/Requests/Case/Rich_Farmbrough#Remedies, would you be able to transfer any resulting decisions to WP:Editing restrictions#Placed_by_the_Arbitration_Committee, for clarity? —Sladen (talk) 13:32, 17 May 2012 (UTC)

I forgot about that. Thanks --Guerillero | My Talk 17:57, 17 May 2012 (UTC)
Appreciations. Looking at the diff [1] I fear Rich's addition restriction + enforcement scheme have not made it across yet (Remedy (2) regarding automation and Enforcement (1) via WP:AE). Would you be help to assist with adding these? —Sladen (talk) 10:14, 18 May 2012 (UTC)
Done --Guerillero | My Talk 17:05, 18 May 2012 (UTC)
"Topic Ban"[2] ? (I'm wondering if this should be changed to "Edit restriction"). —Sladen (talk) 01:04, 19 May 2012 (UTC)
Hmm. I see your point... --Guerillero | My Talk 03:46, 21 May 2012 (UTC)
Many appreciations[3] (and thank you for the extra time and work tidying off the case closure). —Sladen (talk) 03:50, 21 May 2012 (UTC)
Nice to see you found antoher place you can sitck your oar in. Rich Farmbrough, 13:06, 27 May 2012 (UTC).
Rich, Whether you, or I, agree/disagree with the ArbCom decision, it is better for clarity to have that decision uploaded to the correct location on WP:RESTRICT. Why not instead focus on the aspect that it did not happen automatically or as quickly as it could have; and try to get that fixed for future ArbCom processes by suggesting that this step (arguably the most important piece of close-down) be added prominently to the clerking process checklist? —Sladen (talk) 13:14, 27 May 2012 (UTC)
It's not the important part. When this happens ArbCom has already failed. Were you constantly running around "supporting" the clerks one might be a little neutral about this. Or were you helping try to construct new models for ArbCom . But fairly clearly it's simply because it's about me. I find that unpleasant. Rich Farmbrough, 17:36, 27 May 2012 (UTC).
Yes Rich, it is about you.[4] Trying to stop you from getting yourself completely banned.[5] Trying to help you fix rules.[6] Trying to guide you[7] to participate and get unblocked[8] To be WP:UNINVOLVED I didn't take part in the ArbCom discussions; to leave the door open for trying to mentor you back to normality. But there's[9] a[10] pattern[11]. It's a wiki, I'm perfectly capable of making the simple edits Guerillero did—but I didn't, did I? (Question: Why would that be?) Please learn to accept[12] assistance[13] from other editors who offer it, directly or indirectly, without attacking them. —Sladen (talk) 23:58, 27 May 2012 (UTC) (Guerillero, apologies that your personal talk page is being diverted like this).

Thank you Sladen. It is a tad disheartening to return from doing field work and I find my talk page is a skirmish site. --Guerillero | My Talk 04:33, 28 May 2012 (UTC)

Not as disheartening as finding out someone is making sure maximum damage is done. Sladen bears a lot of responsibility for this 3 year mess, by spamming my talk page which kicked everything off. And yet he presumes to offer patronising "advice", while sticking the knife in elsewhere. Rich Farmbrough, 16:45, 28 May 2012 (UTC).

Dischord Records overhaul

They were originally farther along on my list, but I figure since someone else has shown interest in helping, I might as bump them up. I'm basically using Fat Wreck as a template. Create a category for X Records artists, go through the labels roster and add them all to the new category, and going through discographies and adding albums to the appropriate label category.Jasper420 19:15, 27 May 2012 (UTC)

Thank you for the information --Guerillero | My Talk 15:53, 28 May 2012 (UTC)

Logging sanctions for R/I Review

I'm not sure how this is traditionally handled, but would it make sense to log the sanctions of the review on the case page? aprock (talk) 14:51, 22 May 2012 (UTC)

I am unsure --Guerillero | My Talk 17:58, 23 May 2012 (UTC)
Yes. If a complaint is ever filed at WP:Arbitration enforcement about violation of the new restrictions, it is expected that a remedy from the case page must be specified. This won't be a simple matter unless the new remedies from the review are logged there. Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 00:24, 28 May 2012 (UTC)
