John M. O'Connor
Hi you mentioned something about a talk page but I don't know what that is. The story cited for the sentence " O’Connor’s appointment was criticized by numerous attorneys due to his ”not qualified” rating by the American Bar Association during his failed judicial confirmation process" is not really true or an accurate characterization of the article--the article mentions the ABA rating but doesn't cite numerous attorneys or any attorneys criticizing "his appointment". Reread it closely nowhere in the article does it have the opinion of ANY attorneys on the appointment itself, which I'm sure varied depending on ideology and so forth. It seems like the sentence is trying to retread the content of of the paragraph above dealing with the failed nomination. I don't have an axe to grind but I think it's misleading to have that article as a citation for a sentence it has nothing to do with. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Clowncar1 (talk • contribs) 11:12, 26 February 2022 (UTC)
- Fair enough, in that case feel free to revert me. For future reference each article has it's own talk page such as this one for the O'Connor article. Greyjoy talk 11:48, 26 February 2022 (UTC)
Portugal National Animal
Dear Mr. Greyjoy,
You have undoned a contribution I made to "List of National Animals", based not the argument that wikipedia and blogs are not reliable sources. But besides those sources I also quoted a source from the digital archives of Biblioteca Nacional de Portugal (Portugal's National Library, https://purl.pt/). Taking this in consideration, I don't understand why was the contribution eliminated by you.
Please advise.
Best wishes,
MMBarbosa83 — Preceding unsigned comment added by MMBarbosa83 (talk • contribs) 17:49, 5 March 2022 (UTC)
- Since I am unable to read the source I have re-added your addition without the unreliable sources, if there are any issues I am sure someone more familiar with the topic can address them. Greyjoy talk 17:54, 5 March 2022 (UTC)
- Thank you for restoring the contribution. FYI, the source is a XVII century work about the Restoration of the Independence of Portugal; in its pages one can find an illustration of the Portuguese Dragon subduing the Lion of Castile (pre-spanish Kingdom). Best wishes MMBarbosa83 talk

Objection to removal of external links
Hi, I wish to formally object to the removal of external links from the page: List of Indigenous Australians in politics and public service
This page is under active management and links will be kept active. Where wikipedia pages occur or are generated for individuals, those will be substituted for the external links.
I request reversion of the page to the state it was in at approx Apr 6 2022, where the extrenal links were in place.
Thanks from Citizen_o_w Citizen o w (talk) 23:06, 6 April 2022 (UTC)
- Citizen o w Wikipedia has strict policies on the use of external links in articles, and as such a collection of external links in a stand alone list is not acceptable. Greyjoy talk 00:56, 7 April 2022 (UTC)
- Hi Greyjoy
- The policy also says
- "This section does not apply if the external link is serving as a citation to a reliable source for a stand-alone list entry that otherwise meets that list's inclusion criteria. To determine whether an item should be included in the list at all, refer to the inclusion criteria for the list you are editing. To determine how to format citations to reliable sources, see Wikipedia:Citing sources."
- This is why the List of Indigenous Australians in Politics and Public Service has the link-outs as citations of a reliable source. Without them, how is the factuality of each items inclusion in the list to be verified?
- -Citizen_o_w Citizen o w (talk) 05:06, 11 April 2022 (UTC)
- "how is the factuality of each items inclusion in the list to be verified" by including the link in a reference at the end of the entry, so that the entire article is not a giant collection of external links. Greyjoy talk 05:27, 11 April 2022 (UTC)
Deletion discussion for minor The Wire character articles
You reverted the prod I put on one article (note that I put identical prods on a whole bunch of other articles too), with the rationale "per previous discussion". Can you point to where that previous discussion is? All I see is an AfD that closed with basically no discussion, saying a discussion should happen. Actually it looks like it was closed pretty procedurally, with the admin saying that it shouldn't be at AfD because the proposer was really saying those articles should be merged; I'm not even saying they should be merged, just that they should all be redirected to an existing list (whether or not someone wants to take some brief version of the detailed unencyclopedic content from those articles and put it into the existing list is not my concern).
Is there some other discussion I'm not seeing here?
Anyway, as far as I can tell this should be a pretty obvious open-and-shut case; for the reasons I already put in the prod, there is no remotely plausible argument for keeping these articles. But if you disagree I'm happy to open an AfD and lump them all in so we can see what others think. 61.18.156.43 (talk) 06:53, 8 April 2022 (UTC)
- 61.18.156.43 You might be right about the AfD, if you would rather prod it instead of merging it feel free to revert back to the previous version. Greyjoy talk 06:56, 8 April 2022 (UTC)
- Oh my mistake, at first glance I just saw "revert" and thought you were contesting the prod, but now that I look at it I realize you're agreeing with it and redirecting it. My bad! I should have actually clicked on the diff and looked!
- I'm totally fine with redirecting it as you have done (in fact I was doing that before someone reverted me and wanted me to try prod or AfD instead). There's like 20 more of these I tagged too, but it's not urgent, I was planning on just letting it sit there and let some admin deal with redirecting it after a few days assuming no one contests it. 61.18.156.43 (talk) 06:58, 8 April 2022 (UTC)

Dear Greyjoy, Thank you for your contributions. Could you please wait until we add the references before you start editing our Wikipedia page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Chiara.strazioso (talk • contribs) 08:38, 9 May 2022 (UTC)
- Chiara.strazioso, first of all it is not our Wikipedia page, you have no ownership over it. Secondly the text that I removed contained copyright violations which go against Wikipedia's rules. Greyjoy talk 08:40, 9 May 2022 (UTC)
- Dear Greyjoy, I sincerely apologise for the miscommunication, for convenience and time limitation I used the wrong words to approach the issue. The references are being added to the page, however the site is still under modification for further improvements. We are trying our best to appropriately structure this physician’s page with the purpose of providing useful and correct information. Other references will be added as the page is edited. Again I apologise and hope the next modifications will be suitable to emphasise the importance of the Wikipedia page. Chiara.strazioso (talk) 08:57, 9 May 2022 (UTC)
- Sorry to disturb again. It seems like there is an issue with the copyright. The link that you have mentioned for the copyright violations is not the source we have used. This page has copied the words from the text from the original book written for Samuel Guthrie. The link itself is violating the copyrights of the original book Chiara.strazioso (talk) 09:36, 9 May 2022 (UTC)
- Chiara.strazioso regardless of where you are copying it from, you can not copy text to Wikipedia. Greyjoy talk 10:46, 9 May 2022 (UTC)

- Dear Greyjoy,
- Sorry, but I don't agree with your recent two amendments: 1) Why do you think pet details unnecessary? As you might know, Ms Iori Kogawa deeply loves her two pets, and that's why they appear in her SNS frequently. She wants her fans to know what kind of pets, their name etc and share her pet love with us; 2) Her retirement message comes from her sincere thanks to her surrounding people, and I already posted her original Japanese message in the Japanese version of her wikipedia, and as she twittered, she likes it. That's why I also posted her message translated into English here. If you still stick to your thoughts, please let me know. Thanks. しげ坊主 (talk) 13:49, 3 June 2022 (UTC)
- しげ坊主, the fact that she loves her pets doesn't make in encyclopedic enough to be included in the article, and just because something was accepted on another language Wiki does not mean it will be accepted on a different one. Greyjoy talk 05:43, 4 June 2022 (UTC)
- Thanks for your message. OK, I understand about pet matters. With respect to her retirement message, I have found it in the latest version, therefore I presume you agree with keeping it. しげ坊主 (talk) 15:06, 4 June 2022 (UTC)

Removal of Popular Culture section of Barbatos
I noticed that you removed the section for Barbatos titled "Popular Culture" due to lack of sources. Perhaps it would be better to simply request or find sources rather than removing the entire section? TheRobotics5 (talk) 20:34, 9 October 2022 (UTC)
- TheRobotics5 I believe that the removal was justified, most of the entries listed are small mentions and not notable enough for inclusion. If other editors believe that an entry is notable enough they are welcome to re-add it with reliable sourced references. Greyjoy talk 03:19, 10 October 2022 (UTC)
Regarding Mobile Banking Security
Hello, the paragraphs I modified in the article 'Mobile Banking' under the section 'Security' had (now that you have removed it) hyperlinks to several Wikipedia articles. Terms such as 'Keystroke Logging', 'SIM Card Swapping', 'Fingerprint Scanner', 'Front-Facing Camera', 'Facial Recognition', 'Alphanumeric Password', 'Multi-Factor Authentication' were all linked to other Wikipedia articles. These Wikipedia articles which I have referred to are already present and prove that the information I wanted to share with others is true. It is unfortunate that banks don't employ Multi-Factor Authentication in mobile devices the way I want them to, so through this article I want to put this idea in other peoples mind. The comparison I made between Mobile Banking and Internet Banking is true. There may not be any articles present at this time which have explained the comparison between Mobile Banking and Internet Banking as vividly as I did. But that doesn't prove that what I wrote is wrong. If you feel that my logic or the information I wanted to convey is wrong then please question me. 103.99.158.250 (talk) 08:50, 17 October 2022 (UTC)
- 103.99.158.250, Wikilinks are not adequate, as per Wikipedia's guidelines information needs to be referenced with inline references, as per Wikipedia:Citing sources. Greyjoy talk 09:09, 17 October 2022 (UTC)
- First of all could you please tell me which WIkilinks (I think you meant hyperlinks to other Wikipedia articles) are not adequate?
- I referred to the Wikipedia:Citing sources but I unable to understand what an 'inline reference' is.
- Could you please explain it with an example? 103.99.158.250 (talk) 09:17, 17 October 2022 (UTC)
- Greyjoy, I am still waiting for your reply. 103.99.158.250 (talk) 09:39, 17 October 2022 (UTC)
- 103.99.158.250 I don't live on Wikipedia so there are times that you will need to wait patiently for a reply. If you are asking which wikilinks are not suitable as references, the answer is all of them, the onus is on you to add inline references to support you additions. It is not up to the reader to go to (for example) Keystroke logging and try to figure out which of the 53 references there support your claims. Information on how to reference can be found here. An example of an inline reference would be this.[1] Greyjoy talk 19:02, 17 October 2022 (UTC)

Hi Greyjoy,
Can you remove reference number 2 from the references list and its material from the Early Life section of the page? I’m getting many complaints that the quote and reference should be removed because it is offensive. I would, but am unsure how.
Thank you Filmish (talk) 19:51, 5 November 2022 (UTC)
It is offensive because the quote is taken out of context of the article being about how despite that quote she is incredibly inspired by black women artists and because you have to read the article to know that many of her supporters wish to have that one quote that doesn’t add much to her early life section removed please. This is causing me a great deal of anxiety. Filmish (talk) 20:44, 5 November 2022 (UTC)
- Filmish, 2601:14D:8B80:1E50:7173:7CD:59C7:78DB, the correct place to discuss the requested changes is on the talk page article. Especially since this removal has been challenged by other editors. Greyjoy talk 09:00, 6 November 2022 (UTC)
Hi,
Just messaging to second the initial inquiry. Can that quote and reference please be removed. The rest of the information in her Early Life category should suffice, but the quote is controversial and isn't doing much to support her profile except cause misunderstandings. Wiki's filter prevented me including a novel's entire title + a question about quality scales
Hi. Thanks for reviewing my update to Payback Press. Wiki's auto-filter prevented me from adding the entire title to Gil Scott-Heron's novel, which currently only shows "The N Factory." It is entirely understandable why Wiki would have a filter for the n-word. So, I left it with the solitary N and figured at some point a trusted editor would make the change what they saw what was what.
Also, I have searched through the various Wiki help pages and can't find a definitive way to change the quality scale or request that it be changed. Payback Press page is currently listed as "stub," and I feel like my addition should bump it up to "list." ChicagoExpatinLex (talk) 03:29, 28 December 2022 (UTC)
- ChicagoExpatinLex I am not super familiar with how to request a review of the quality scale for an article, however the assessment was made by Wikipedia:WikiProject Companies so you could discuss with the users there and they might be able to help. Greyjoy talk 03:46, 28 December 2022 (UTC)
