Kingdom of Yugoslavia

Could you look at my recent edit in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia article pertaining to Einsteins letter? Another editor seems to be claiming it is POV even though it has direct quote form the letter itself and sourced.Maxforige77 (talk) 22:12, 5 January 2016 (UTC)

Hey, thank you for clearing things up. Question though. Should there not be a brief section in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia article discussing the regime's treatment towards Croats? Seems glossed over as the Einstein letter is the only ever mention of it in that article. Your thoughts? Maxforige77 (talk) 04:17, 8 January 2016 (UTC)
Again much thanks for helping out and clearing things up. All the best! Maxforige77 (talk) 18:01, 10 January 2016 (UTC)

Tito

What do you think about adding in the lead a reference to the repression of political opponents? It looks there is consensus about that, but there is one irreducible user refusing any compromise. Following your suggestion, I started editing in the body of the article a paragraph about the violations of human rights (with the intent to clearly specify that mainly they had place during the first 15 years of the regime). Unfortunately, I could not do it. The same irreducible user changed my modifications completely. It looks we are facing an issue of WP:OWNER. Silvio1973 (talk) 11:47, 4 February 2016 (UTC)

My intention was not to win or to lose, but to have input from users. All users (except one) agreed to insert a reference about the "repression of political opponents" in the lead (because organic to the body of the article), so I suppose there should be no obstacle in editing the lead in this sense. --Silvio1973 (talk) 16:44, 4 February 2016 (UTC)
As discussed I will edit the article accordingly to the consensus arising in the RfC. Not sure Tuvixer will agree. --Silvio1973 (talk) 18:04, 20 February 2016 (UTC)

Reverts

Hello, I must confess that I am running out of options. In spite of the consensus found on the insertion of a mention about the repression of political opponents in the lead of the article Tito, Tuvixer continues to remove the reference. What can we do? --Silvio1973 (talk) 10:29, 13 March 2016 (UTC)

Read this please: # NAC: No consensus. Tnx --Tuvixer (talk) 10:39, 13 March 2016 (UTC)
Tuvixer, you just make things tedious without reason. However, another more assertive an precise RfC has been posted about this issue of the "repression of political opponents". The best way to oppose you is to stick the rules and procedures. It takes time but it will prove useful. The community will understand soon how problematic you are and you will soon or later blocked. --Silvio1973 (talk) 11:02, 13 March 2016 (UTC)
And BTW, sometime I think I am dreaming. Tito's dictatorship lasted 38 years. People went to jail, people were executed. There was only one authorized party. And it is so difficult to write that political opponents were repressed? Silvio1973 (talk) 12:09, 13 March 2016 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for March 20

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Filip Mihaljević, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Portland. DYK nomination of Croatian Apoxyomenos

Speedy deletion

GregorB, can you do anything to prevent the speedy deletion of these two articles: Who is Who in Croatian Science and Croatian Scientific Bibliography?--Darigon Jr. (talk) 08:37, 9 April 2016 (UTC)

DYK for Croatian Apoxyomenos

On 14 April 2016, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Croatian Apoxyomenos, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the Croatian Apoxyomenos (head pictured), a 2,000-year-old Ancient Greek bronze statue, was discovered on the seabed by a Belgian tourist? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Croatian Apoxyomenos. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Croatian Apoxyomenos), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Editor of the Week : nominations needed!

The Editor of the Week initiative has been recognizing editors since 2013 for their hard work and dedication. Editing Wikipedia can be disheartening and tedious at times; the weekly Editor of the Week award lets its recipients know that their positive behaviour and collaborative spirit is appreciated. The response from the honorees has been enthusiastic and thankful.

The list of nominees is running short, and so new nominations are needed for consideration. Have you come across someone in your editing circle who deserves a pat on the back for improving article prose regularly, making it easier to understand? Or perhaps someone has stepped in to mediate a contentious dispute, and did an excellent job. Do you know someone who hasn't received many accolades and is deserving of greater renown? Is there an editor who does lots of little tasks well, such as cleaning up citations?

Please help us thank editors who display sustained patterns of excellence, working tirelessly in the background out of the spotlight, by submitting your nomination for Editor of the Week today!

Your assistance is humbly requested, again...

Hello GregorB, You may remember me from this thread: https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/User_talk:GregorB/Archive_10#I_liked_your_comments_on_the_Shiatsu_article, back in 2014. You made comments here: https://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Talk:Rolfing/Archive_3#Please_mind_WP:AVOID

I am again seeking a neutral third-party opinion for the Rolfing article. It seems to me that one of the editors, who has a clear anti-alt-med bias (as opposed to simply valuing science and critical thinking), is so bent on his POV that he doesn't thoughtfully read and consider the edits I make before reverting them. Nor does he take the time to understand what I've written in the talk page, before going back to talking about pseudoscience. I do expect a lively back-and-forth with other WP editors, and I expect that editors will show good faith in dealing with each other.

My proposal: revert the page to the "last stable version" from March 17 - prior to my contested edits and the others that followed - and then we discuss the various changes on the Talk page before making them.

Would you kindly jump in and give your perspective? Thank you!!! --Karinpower (talk) 04:46, 10 May 2016 (UTC)

It seems to me this message (and your approach to other editors) falls afoul of WP:CANVAS, as well as being personally disparaging. Alexbrn (talk) 06:48, 12 May 2016 (UTC)

Just wanted to jump in here to say that I agree with Karinpower's perspective on the rolfing article. AaronMFeld (talk) 17:51, 5 July 2016 (UTC)

Croatian Airplay Chart

Way back in 2009 you participated in an AfD for Croatian Airplay Chart, it was recreated in 2012 and I created an AfD at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Croatian Airplay Chart (2nd nomination) to see if it should be deleted. Your input would be appreciated. Aspects (talk) 09:45, 12 May 2016 (UTC)

Croatia is Growing

Hy, I have a question about Croatia is Growing article. So, this coalition changed its name once so far (Kukuriku coalition->Croatia is Growing), and they are going to do that again, this time into People's coalition. When they changed their name for the first time, we just redirected article, but this time some (new) user created competently new article. My question is, can we delete that new article and simply redirect this old one when Coalition announces its "rebirth" under a new name, since its basically the same coalition, and I think that it would be good to have everything about them on one article. I mean, its logical to have one well written article then dozens of stubs when its about a same subject. Greetings, United Union (talk) 09:02, 10 July 2016 (UTC).

I am sorry if I am interrupting, but I also agree that it is best if we have one article, and not multiple ones. It is still the same coalition, just with a different name. --Tuvixer (talk) 09:37, 10 July 2016 (UTC)

Frančesko Micalović who was actually Ivan/Jovan Vukosalić sometimes referred to as Ratković and his Ragusan prayer book (which is actually printed in Venice) on Serbian language which is actually Croatian or maybe Serbo-Croatian

Хи ГрегорБ,

I just created an article about Frančesko Micalović. When I started this article I had no idea about its subject. During its editing I realised that its subject is quite interesting while interpretation of some modern scholars can be quite contradictory. Your input would be highly appreciated. All the best.--Antidiskriminator (talk) 17:05, 25 July 2016 (UTC)

Invitation to the African Destubathon

Hi. You may be interested in participating in the African Destubathon which starts on October 15. Africa currently has over 37,000 stubs and badly needs a quality improvement editathon/contest to flesh out basic stubs. There are proposed substantial prizes to give to editors who do the most articles, and planned smaller prizes for doing to most destubs for each of the 53 African countries, so should be enjoyable! So it would be a good chance to win something for improving stubs on African sportspeople, including footballers, athletes, Olympians and Paralympians etc, particularly female ones, but also male. Even if contests aren't your thing we would be grateful if you could consider destubbing a few African articles during the drive to help the cause and help reduce the massive 37,000 + stub count, of which many are rated high importance (think Regions of countries etc). If you're interested in competing or just loosely contributing a few expanded articles on African Paralympians, Olympians and committees etc, please add your name to the Contestants/participants section. Diversity of work from a lot of people will make this that bit more special. Thanks. --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 21:14, 6 October 2016 (UTC)

Europe 10,000 Challenge invite

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 08:57, 6 November 2016 (UTC)

Anti-Croat Sentiment Page

Thank you for accepting my request for help. Any contributions are welcome, no pressure. A recently had discussion with a user, who made good points about the article needing much work, which I agree. I will try to help as well, though my time is very much limited these days. Cheers! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Stariradio (talkcontribs) 22:39, 27 November 2016 (UTC)

Re:Peto izvješće

Not the best time. I will start to work on this but I am not sure I will be able to commit myself more seriously before December 5. Thanks for letting me know. I guess I will start from the article Minority languages of Croatia and than go municipality by municipality. I also hope I will have some free time to get more active on the project in general.--MirkoS18 (talk) 21:24, 29 November 2016 (UTC)

Grga: are we sure the Zabiokovlja massacre (near Makaraska) of 29 August 1942 is not/should not be included in the general Makarska massacre (September 1942)? Given the almost immediately consequential time frame and evident geographic proximity, it seems at least possible, if not likely, that the former was part of the latter. We don't want any duplication of statistsics, after all. Thanks. Quis separabit? 15:19, 18 December 2016 (UTC)

Notability

Hey, many thanks for finding Leksikon radija i televizije :) I've started a userspace stub on hr:Operacija Barbarossa, here. WP:TVSERIES would indicate it's likely notable, but I'm not sure if it meets WP:GNG. I've listed some sources there, but I'm not sure if any of them beyond the Leksikon are significant coverage. What do you think? Thx, DaßWölf 01:21, 27 December 2016 (UTC)

Thanks, that clears it up. The series is running reruns on HTV2 lately, so I figured I'd make an article. DaßWölf 16:58, 27 December 2016 (UTC)
