A tag has been placed on Georgios Spanos requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that your page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. - MrX 12:45, 7 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article Giannis Alafouzos has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. - MrX 13:21, 7 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Advice

[edit]

Before you create any more articles, please read WP:Your first article, noting particularly the need to supply references to significant coverage in reliable, independent secondary sources in order to verify what the article says and to establish notability. If you are connected with the subjects you are writing about, you should also read the guideline on WP:Conflict of interest. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 13:30, 7 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Loan and permanent spells in footballer infoboxes

[edit]

Hello. The dates in footballer infoboxes are supposed to represent when the player was contracted to each club. If a player spends time on loan and then joins the club permanently, we should treat those as separate spells. So please don't change any more infoboxes to merge loan and permanent spells, and in particular, please don't falsify dates of leaving clubs to support your changes, as you did with Mauro Zárate's date of leaving Al-Sadd. Thank you. Struway2 (talk) 21:18, 8 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

English

[edit]

I gather from many of your contributions that English is not your native language, and that you are relying on machine translation to generate the English text of many of your articles, such as Giannis Psifidis. This is a very bad idea. Machine translation generally produces only a hint at what the actual translated text should be. In the case of the Psifidis article, it produced gibberish. I am unable to clean up this article into anything meaningful because I can't begin to fathom what is trying to be said.

If you are unable to contribute your own words in English, it might be better for you to concentrate your efforts on contributing to the Greek Wikipedia instead. WikiDan61ChatMe!ReadMe!! 14:36, 12 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Struway2. Your recent edit to the page Sokratis Papastathopoulos appears to have added incorrect information, so I have removed it for now. If you believe the information was correct, please cite a reliable source or discuss your change on the article's talk page. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you.

Please don't merge loan and permanent spells in footballer infoboxes. Struway2 (talk) 14:39, 12 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

It is pretty obvious who you are - there are more than a few coincidences here. Since you are de facto banned, in order to convey the message that you are not allowed to edit here, I have reverted most of your recent edits and deleted your article creations.
