[edit]Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, such as at Talk:Decommunization, (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:
- Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment, or
- With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button located above the edit window.
This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.
Thank you. Iryna Harpy (talk) 06:42, 3 July 2020 (UTC)
Ajax v Liverpool
[edit]Hey, just noticed you've made this page based on naming conventions. Could you expand on which naming conventions you're referring to? I'm not sure the move is necessary as neither side is commonly known by the names in the new title. WP:COMMONNAME would suggest it should remain as it was. NapHit (talk) 21:16, 23 August 2020 (UTC)
- Hi! I was referring to the discussion that took place on FC Barcelona 2–8 FC Bayern Munich page. Govnery (talk) 21:18, 23 August 2020 (UTC)
Nice nickname
[edit]But there can only be one Gov'ner!!!! Govvy (talk) 08:32, 25 August 2020 (UTC)
- Yep, I also noticed the similarity 😃 Govnery (talk) 21:00, 25 August 2020 (UTC)
Results by matchday/matchweek, etc
[edit]As discussed at Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Football/Archive_119#Results_by_matchday/matchweek all results by matchday amounts to original research. They cannot be included on these pages, if other pages are using them, they should also be removed. If you would like to include them in articles and feel the previous discussion was not fair, please open a new section at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Football and tag me in the discussion. Krazytea(talk) 18:17, 26 August 2020 (UTC)
- Hello. Personally, I'm not really concerned whether results by matchday are included on that specific Chelsea page. I just wanted to bring some consistency as literally every other season page uses it. Just to name a few: Arsenal, Manchester City, Liverpool, Spurs, Wolves. So, it's either remove it altogether or keep it at Chelsea. Of course, you can also just remove it from one specific Chelsea page because you're close to that team, but that won't change anything generally. Govnery (talk) 19:07, 26 August 2020 (UTC)
- Decision was unanimous remove all as per the link provided at WikiProject Football. Krazytea(talk) 19:09, 26 August 2020 (UTC)
- Now you're getting reverted. What's more important, there are literally hundreds of results by matchday templates throughout Wikipedia but you do little to remove them (in fact, only removed the ones I provided as examples). I just don't get it. Govnery (talk) 14:57, 29 August 2020 (UTC)

Liverpool F.C. in European football
[edit]Hello. What conventions are you referring to? Where can I find info on them? Ae245 (talk) 11:54, 30 August 2020 (UTC)
- Hi! If a team has ever participated in an intercontinental tournament (i.e. Intercontinental Cup, FIFA Club World Cup), it is preferable to change the word European to international. See FC Barcelona in international football competitions and Real Madrid CF in international football competitions. Govnery (talk) 12:58, 30 August 2020 (UTC)
- But the Liverpool article is overwhelmingly about European football?! Ae245 (talk) 13:52, 30 August 2020 (UTC)
- So are Barca and Madrid articles. The point is, they participated in Intercontinental Cups/World Cup that's why it would be more accurate to say international football rather than just European. Govnery (talk) 14:56, 30 August 2020 (UTC)
- Okay. Ae245 (talk) 18:11, 30 August 2020 (UTC)
- I feel uneasy about the fact there is an inconsistent titling format. Like, there is "in European football" and there's "in international football competitions". Could "competitions" be cut off from these articles? Ae245 (talk) 13:50, 1 September 2020 (UTC)
- Yes, sure. But you don't have to ask me, I'm just an ordinary editor ;) Maybe propose the change on a talk page or just rename the article yourself. I don't think anyone will really fight over the naming of these pages. Govnery (talk) 21:03, 1 September 2020 (UTC)
- Alright, thanks. I'll go ahead and rename them later today. Ae245 (talk) 08:15, 2 September 2020 (UTC)

Real
[edit]Hey, thanks for reaching out. What happens if the match is played in February 2021, do we add the position in the table after that match and put it in matchday 1? That would be totally inaccurate. Real's first matchday was in week 2 (used like this in last seasons aswell...). Kante4 (talk) 12:54, 28 September 2020 (UTC)
- I mentioned the link from their official site as a source in an edit summary. I know that when fans are back they move but not sure what is the correct thing to do. Add all in Di Stefano (like their schedule) or wait until each match and change it then... (BTW, UEFA already lists Di Stefano for the CL matches) Kante4 (talk) 17:08, 4 October 2020 (UTC)
- Okay, let's change it when official info comes out. Regarding UEFA, I highly doubt that Di Stefano is even eligible to host UCL matches.. Govnery (talk) 17:13, 4 October 2020 (UTC)
- Not sure either, but when no fans attend i guess the stadium could be good enough. Those are tough times so they might lower their standards. Kante4 (talk) 17:16, 4 October 2020 (UTC)
