[edit]Please refrain from adding, removing or changing genres, as you did to Most Known Unknown, without providing a source or establishing a consensus on the article's talk page first. Genre changes to suit your own point of view are considered disruptive. Thank you. Binksternet (talk) 22:10, 5 August 2024 (UTC)
Please stop attacking other editors. If you continue, you may be blocked from editing. Comment on content, not on other contributors or people. Acroterion (talk) 20:47, 6 August 2024 (UTC)
- i was NOT attacking, that editor VANDALIZED an article for no reason, tell them, NOT ME, im sorry, but they should NOT be VANDALIZING Wikipedia, so why are you ATTACKING ME? Gorillafan101 (talk) 20:50, 6 August 2024 (UTC)
- They didn't vandalize. You're not entitled to behave that way. Acroterion (talk) 20:51, 6 August 2024 (UTC)
- then PLEASE explain to me what vandalize means, b/c that person DID delete USEFUL CONTENT, & thats NOT allowed. Gorillafan101 (talk) 20:52, 6 August 2024 (UTC)
- Music articles are plagued with editors who insert their own interpretations of musical genres without sourcing. The term is genre-warring. Binksternet has consistently enforced Wikipedia policies against such conduct. Don't be a genre warrior, and don't disrespect editors who maintain Wikipedia's quality standards. Acroterion (talk) 20:54, 6 August 2024 (UTC)
- im NOT attacking, its just that VANDALISM is NOT allowed, why did that person DELETE useful content? if thats NOT vandalsim, then PLEASE EXPLAIN. Gorillafan101 (talk) 20:54, 6 August 2024 (UTC)

Starting an article
[edit]Hello, Gorillafan101,
You are asking for help but keep ignoring advice editors are giving you. You've created five pages that have had to be deleted. If this continues, you might be facing a block. Start your article in Draft space or User space like your Sandbox. Go to the Teahouse for assistance. Liz Read! Talk! 21:44, 7 August 2024 (UTC)
- i am NOT ignoring, i did NOT understand @ first, thats all. i just STARTED a draft, i SUBMITTED it, & now ive been told that it needs to be REVIEWED. i am NOT ignoring, PLEASE DONT yell @ me. Gorillafan101 (talk) 21:46, 7 August 2024 (UTC)

- i was NOT shouting, i just use caps for EMPHASIS on my point, just to emphasize my point. Gorillafan101 (talk) 21:02, 9 August 2024 (UTC)
- As the essay I linked says,
Typing in all caps ("TYPING IN ALL CAPS") on Wikipedia, in line with most Internet resources, is perceived as "shouting" and can come across as aggressive. Please do not do it
. Even if you don't consider it to be aggressive, that's how most people will take it. On that subject, what did you mean byPLEASE DONT yell @ me
? From my perspective it doesn't seem that you were yelled at. jlwoodwa (talk) 21:41, 9 August 2024 (UTC)- im sorry, i have a developmental disability, so PLEASE forgive me if i misinterpret things or misunderstand things. thank you very much. so i perceived it like i was being yelled @, im sorry. Gorillafan101 (talk) 00:19, 12 August 2024 (UTC)
- No worries, I'm always happy if I can help clarify things. On the topic of developmental disabilities, you might find Tamzin's guidance for editors with mental illnesses helpful (I know I did). jlwoodwa (talk) 03:34, 12 August 2024 (UTC)
- thank you for sharing, that was quite helpful, thanx. you learn something everyday. Gorillafan101 (talk) 20:33, 13 August 2024 (UTC)

September 2024
[edit]Hello, I'm Joyous!. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Nikolas Cruz, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. This doesn't mean the material can't be added to the article, but it DOES need to be cited to a reliable source if it is added again. Joyous! Noise! 05:22, 19 September 2024 (UTC)
Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did at 2019 Dayton shooting, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear to be constructive and has been reverted. If you only meant to make a test edit, please use your sandbox for that. Thank you. Wham2001 (talk) 19:43, 23 September 2024 (UTC)
- sorry, i have a LEARNING DISABILITY, so theyre are some things that i dont understand, thank you. Gorillafan101 (talk) 21:00, 25 September 2024 (UTC)
Please stop. If you continue to blank out or remove portions of page content, templates, or other materials from Wikipedia without adequate explanation, as you did at 2019 Dayton shooting, you may be blocked from editing. GoneIn60 (talk) 21:07, 23 September 2024 (UTC)

Please slow down
[edit]Many of your recent edits, particularly to articles about mass shootings, have been reverted by other edits over quality concerns. Please slow down and make sure your edits follow our policies and guidelines. Also, please always use an edit summary to explain what you are doing. Your editing pattern at 2019 Dayton shooting was quite problematic, and if you do something like that again, you are likely to get blocked.
Feel free to reach out if you have any questions about editing. Elli (talk | contribs) 00:26, 24 September 2024 (UTC)

- We have no means to verify whether your claims are true; we can't make exceptions to policy based on them. Please do not add unsourced content to articles. If the claim is new, as in this edit (that I reverted):
- - then you have an obligation to cite a reliable source to back it up. Nowhere in the New York Times article cited at the end of that sentence says anything even remotely matching what you added. That claim about a living person could constitute defamation. All claims must be verifiable in reliable sources, and those sources must be present or added - by you - to the article. If you have no source, do not add the material. cheers. anastrophe, an editor he is. 03:00, 27 September 2024 (UTC)
- i read it in a book about school shootings called 'ceremonial violence', does that count as source? Gorillafan101 (talk) 20:43, 15 October 2024 (UTC)
- Please provide the full title, author, and page on which the claim can be found. cheers. anastrophe, an editor he is. 19:44, 16 October 2024 (UTC)
- okay, if i can find it again. Gorillafan101 (talk) 20:33, 16 October 2024 (UTC)
