Hello Gogo Dodo,
I am here, once again, to ask for a bit of help. If you have a moment, please look at User talk:Karenblackhall. Blackhall is in charge of public relations for the Cochrane Group, and has been adding many citations attributed to this entity. Often her edits have been obviously promotional in tone, and she has received COI warnings as a result. However, the Cochrane Review is highly respected in medical sources, and certainly qualifies as an RS. Another editor, who is both a physician and a sysop, has hidden the COI warning, and he reverted my edit when I unhid it. I have asked him to revert, but he declines. I would appreciate your take on the situation. Many thanks. Ebikeguy (talk) 15:19, 30 September 2011 (UTC)

Oleg Vishnepolsky
I know you deleted my article on "Oleg Vishnepolsky" and I am sure you had very good reasons for it. Oleg is noteworthy as he was the author of 2 TCP/IP stacks at IBM Research, launched the first in the financial industry (prudentialsec.com) and launched first major ISP - prodigy internet. Perhaps i was not eloquent in my description of why it should not be deleted. If this does not meet your criteria for significance, then by all means. I just wanted to give it one more shot. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Zvezda1111 (talk • contribs) 19:50, 6 October 2011 (UTC)

You deleted the links I added on the Payroll page? Really? I know if I was researching this topic and there was a reference to 'outsourcing payroll' I would sure like to be shown an example service (and SmartWage is one of the best services businesses of any size).

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Hi Gogo,
I was wondering if you could find the time to see if you can identify the problem with my User Page. Ever since Wikipedia made a change to sortable tables, my table has gone a bit haywire, and I don't know how to fix it. If you sort my table by name for example, it does it, but places returning names in the wrong order sometimes, whereas it didn't before. If you could find the time to take a look, I'd love you! I notice you previously deleted an article under this title. The details were: 06:08, 20 July 2010 Gogo Dodo (talk | contribs) deleted "Wesley Wilson" (A7: Article about a real person, which does not indicate the importance or significance of the subject).
I am attempting to create such an article for Wilson, based somewhat on his working and personal relationship with Coot Grant (an article which I recently created). For example, Wilson (1893–1958), a blues and jazz musician, wrote "Take Me for a Buggy Ride" and "Gimme a Pigfoot (And a Bottle of Beer)", which continue to be ranked among Bessie Smith's most popular recordings.[1] Wilson died in Cape May Court House in 1958.[2] Etcetera (I have access to much more, as partly is exhibited under the Coot Grant article). Can I respectfully ask if I am allowed to proceed ? Thank you,

Hi! You have blocked IP 209.2.60.88, which should be unblocked. The reason cited was vandalism by user MnZemike. The IP address, however, is a publicly accessible computer at a branch of the Brooklyn Public Library. There was a bug in MediaWiki 1.18 that caused blocks made via the API to have talk page access disabled when it should have been enabled. This also affected scripts such as User:Animum/easyblock.js. Please review the following blocks to make sure that you really intended talk page access to be disabled, and reblock if necessary.

Deletion of John Bain aka. TotalBiscuit
Regarding John Bain (TotalBiscuit). -- Gogo Dodo (talk)
Hello,
i have no idear who made the initial entry about John Bain (and have no idear about the actual contents) which are now deleted but i think its a pitty you deleted the page.
Regarding the reason for deletion: John Bain is a revered PC and Videogame caster and game industry commentator with 500.000 subscribers to his youtube channel. If the page contains any useful information at all i would like to help get it reopened.
Sincerely
(is this page public?)
— Preceding unsigned comment added by 90.184.65.202 (talk) 10:13, 15 October 2011 (UTC)
- The article was deleted because it was very short and no claim towards notability. It only stated his name, his handle, that he was a video game commentator, and that he made videos. It looked like many other non-notable YouTube uploader articles that get created on Wikipedia. You are welcome to recreate the page, but I recommend that you start from scratch as the deleted content was not substantial and will be of very little use to creating an article that will remain on Wikipedia. You can either create an account and start the article yourself or make a request for another editor to create the article.
- I'm not sure to what you are referring to with your side question. If you are asking if the deleted page is public, then the answer is no. Deleted articles are only available to admins. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 16:33, 15 October 2011 (UTC)

Sutro's: The Palace at Lands End
The release date of this film, my film, is November 4th, 2011 and it is a documentary film telling the historical story of Sutro Baths. It is already on IMDB and can be google searched. The SF Chronicle is writing their review shortly. Thus historically, it should be part of Wikipedia's listing. I wrote the description of the film in that manner. Not trying to advertise the film on Wiki, just feel it needs to be part of the Sutro Baths history. please i ask for the solution of this TVXQ page
I know you protected the article for major editing. We dont try to change the info but stans( fan who want to hurt others) keep changing the page. We added the source to show the members are still in the group but they keep changing all the info even the pic SpaghettiSauce9 has been vandalazing the article not only first deleting whole parts of the article (check (talk) but also bringing down the picture of the 5. This is not about who's right or wrong but about how she and many others are changing the page every second. As many other groups even when the members are not part or promoting with the group they are still part of them: Super Junior, Backstreet boys case, we just ask to keep the name of the 3 others even if it's in old members or not.But this has to stop, fans are tired of watching this article being vandalized.
This is a fight inside fandom there's no need to bring and vandalize the page I know, that's why I ask to let me edit it in a way that is neutral for all the part and if we can keep the members part as I want to edit(current members, old memberes) all is going to be ok. In the next few days many more activities will come and we need to update the information. Please I ask for me to edit the members section and associated acts which were vandalized the same with the picture. Then you can locked if you want. Im trying to be neutral and to keep both sides without war. Please, thank you so much. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Laurien anardil (talk • contribs) 05:58, 23 October 2011 (UTC)

Disputes on TVXQ's wikipedia page
I understand that there is a disagreement on TVXQ page. Here is my neutral solution:
1) Keep the page protected. There is no doubt that people will come to change the information (like they are doing now) so I suggest this page be protected at all times (or at least semi-protected).
2) With the constant changing of who the members are in the group, I believe there should be a section showing the two current members and a section underneath it showing the three inactive members or former members.
TVXQ was originally comprised of five males. Three of them have issued a lawsuit against their company, but that does not mean they should not be included as members anymore. Despite the three having continued their profession together under the name JYJ, they are nevertheless, at this point, former members of TVXQ. Their contract with their company in regards to this group - TVXQ - still stands due to the lawsuit having not yet been completed (and therefore they are "inactive" or "former" members).
3) As for the main picture to show who the members are, I believe there should be two:
The first one showing the group as five (what they were before, when they had debuted). The second one underneath showing the two members that are currently active under the name TVXQ.
Please let me know if you have any comments, questions or concerns.

as you said its a promotional act. But I would like to clarify that its not added for any promotional purpose but for the knowledge of people and the implementors that such an alarm clock has never been thought and can be implemented. Wiki helps people learning new things, and it will surely be a subject of interest. I added it as I dont have any such position to show people that this kind of alarm can help us. So I thought wikipedia can be a source to share knowledge and idea wid people around the globe.

You have recently deleted a page of mine titled ilovethebeach.com under the reson that the website was of no importance. i would like to contest this because it has been online since 1997 that is 14 years online invading woman's privacy and it is also the prime site for this especific fetish. Another reason why I claim that this page should be posted beacause of it's importance is because the paparazzi from the site took pictures of Victoria Beckham topless and published it world wide :

Reinstatement of "Shane Cross" article
Hi Gogo Dodo
I was wondering if I could please have the article on the Australian skateboarder Shane Cross, reinstated? The original page was at:
http://wiki.riteme.site/wiki/Shane_Cross
I'm happy to do some research & provide citations and links to support the notability of him.
As an initial basis, I've found a state-based newspaper (The Age, Melbourne, Australia) article online, here at:
http://www.theage.com.au/news/national/skaters-lost-without-cross/2007/03/08/1173166868943.html

Is this OR?
Last night on Survivor, Jeff Probst said "the two people who have votes are immune and everyone else draws rocks" during TC when he was warning people about revote ties. This implies that Ozzy and Dawn would not be immune to the rocks (which thus reverts the rock odds to 50:50 Upolu:Savaii). This very much could be why Cochran defected, so I was wondering should this be put into the page?
A disclaimer though, the one time the purple rock actually came out, immunity meant no rock [2] Thegreyanomaly (talk) 23:43, 3 November 2011 (UTC)

Hi, I was still updating the page when you deleted what i wrote. the update was to fix an error and give proper credit to the originator of the slogan. My Father created the slogan in 1971 and is reconized by the NRA as the creator.
How can we change it back? or do I have to re-write it?

Article
Hello Gogo Dodo,
You recently deleted my article "Carlos E. Norris". When I most certianly explained myself in the article. Considering that it was a small article with little information; it had nothing to do with my personal life or anyone elses, it was there stating that Chuck Norris's real name is Carlos E. Norris. I simply created a link to the wikipedia article about Chuck Norris for reference. Nothing more. Uncertianperson (talk) 19:24, 6 November 2011 (UTC)

Dear Godo Dodo
I will like to say at first thank you for all you help so far. i am suffering from a major problem now because this project was not supposed to take so long and I have tried to look for articles from important newspapers and magazines but I could not find any. I typed in at google news and nothing came up as for the Victoria Beckham i have the video here but no website or jornalistic organization have made comments on the subject. The reason I wanted to start this article was to try and get some reconsition because it has been invaded peolpe's privacy for over a decade now. It looks like some people really do not care about this subject. When it comes to pages like Youporn and Redtube there are very little refences to be seen and Xhamster and Xvideos which are a poplular websites just like them do not have a pages on wikipedia. I am now asking for your help. I do not want to give up on this. If you really need a famous newspaper to write a story about this? Do you have enough influence as an administrator on wikipedia to make this happen? Or if you like we can make the necessary changes together with the material we have at hand.
What should I do?

Godo
The particular difference with this site is that is it has practice this type of pornography much longer that other sites in this type of fetish. In the review :
http://www.pornusers.com/review/ilovethebeach/
"They affirm they are one of the oldest site of topless beach erotic, since 1997! And they are right - their collection of photos and videos, more than 10000 photos and more than 1000 video clips!"
This is why it stands out and the reason I am trying to get it noticed. This type of candid pornography invades people's privacy's who go to these beaches to not know that they are being filmed and posted for the whole world to see.
As for the newspaper articles you have to remember that many newspapers are there to sell and if something does not seem to attractive for them they will not publish it maybe that is why these guys have been out of so many years and nobody has heard from them.I will keep looking for articles but you have to see that so far theses reviews are the best I have to work with along the other sites I sent you.
As for the references in the other articles XVideos this page has only one refernce not from a newspaper article but from a statistics website just like the ones I sent to you so many times before and was never deleted. Maybe this proves that it does not have to be so rigid following the rules that do not ensure correct information or that not all the pages are well checked.
I will make the edits to the page you ask me to do. You do not want it to give only estatistcs but be an encyclopedic page. I will delete everything but the first page and rewrite it to fit your standards.
But I will just like to make sure if I sent it to the main page after making the changes will you try to defend the article making sure noone will delete it or will you like to delete it yourself?

Godo
I will like to start off saying thank you for all the help you have given me so far.
Now I belive that the first time the article was deleted was beacause it had few information and no references now that the page has improved the chances that someone else might delete it are much less. But like it says in the What about article x?
"Plenty of articles exist that probably should not. Equally, because articles must wait for someone who is interested in the subject to notice they are missing before they are created, a lot of articles do not exist that probably should. So just pointing out that an article on a similar subject exists does not prove that the article in question should also exist; it is quite possible that the other article should also be deleted but nobody has noticed it and listed it for deletion yet. "
My main consern was that you might delete it but since you said that you would not it makes me fell much better. If you would like to stay neutral please fell free to do so I do not want to do anything that might cause you harm. But tell me you noticed it when someone tag it and sent it to you right? Do you have anyone in mind out of the 1,500 administrators on Wikipedia that might want to delete my page? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Paulmcanders (talk • contribs) 16:15, 17 November 2011 (UTC)

How do I properly cite this so IPs or users don't revert
[3] I think we will agree, whatever Jeff Probst says is considered a WP:RS just like any promotional material that CBS can put out (remember a couple seasons ago when CBS leaked the exact configuration of the tribal swap in a preview). Anyways to my point, Probst confirmed on his Tout page (it is like a video version of twitter) that this week is a double elimination also. For that reason, I put this information onto the page, I cited his Tout and I put notes < ! - - - (without the spaces) notes in pointing that out. Is this sufficient? Tout seems pretty cool, the only problem is that when the show is on I am often juggling updating the article, eating dinner, and watching the episode (and sometimes I try to get school work done at the same time). Trying to tweet Probst and watch his Tout updates at the same time seems like way too much multitasking. Thegreyanomaly (talk) 03:50, 13 November 2011 (UTC)

Alex Goot article: deleted?
Hej, it's LHefferman, I've been a supporter of Alex Goot for a long time, and, while checking through various Fan Sites, people wondered why his article was removed. I, also, while explaining him online, have tried to reference his article, and failed. It is referenced in numerous other articles, and he does fit most of the Notability Guidelines. Therefore, instead of me attempting to rebuild his article, I am asking you to reinstate it for the betterment of many supporters, as well as others connected with YouTube artists, like Sam Tsui, who still has a Wikipedia page, or Christina Grimmie, who, although still unsigned, has a page. Hi,
You've deleted my article that I added to the above website citing 'no original research'. How do I put this, but this is original research as I used to live there for many years! Question about revert
Hi, Jeaniac again with another question. I ran across this while browsing around in Wikipedia. I wound up on a page called "Unschooling." Its second paragraph says "Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and it has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you may want to do. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia." Right in the middle of an article! I thought it must have been a cut and paste error from a User talk page, but when I clicked Edit, all I saw, where that paragraph exists on the article page, was the word revert inside double curly brackets. I thought an administrator might have put it there so I didn't change it, but it doesn't seem appropriate to have that text in the middle of an article. What are your thoughts--can I remove it? I don't understand why the Sayanim article has been deleted in its English version but is still there in German and French.
Presumably Wikipedia editors believe that the Germans and French are sophisticated enough to read an article on this topic without turning into ranting antisemites, but Americans/Brits are less intelligent.

AFC Submission: John Robyns (Royal Marines officer)
Hello Dodo Gogo. I am resubmitting the talk page for my AFC submission, John Robyns (Royal Marines officer). I have been working hard to address issues that have been raised. I created an article called Mr Floatie. The article was deleted on notability. Mr Floatie is an environmental mascot which started in Victoria British Columbia to protest sewage being dumped in the ocean. Mr Floatie has also been used in New York to protest environmental conditions on Hen Island. The mascot has appeared in newspapers all over the world and as far away as South Africa. The mascot has also appeared on Television, in different parts of the world. It has been speculated Mr Floatie is the reason Victoria British Columbia is going to build a billion dollar sewage treatment plant. An organization has been created to fight Mr Floatie called ARESST. The mascot can be found on Facebook and Youtube. - Tree87 has been indefblocked[4]. It seems IP 205.202.152.2 is also indefblocked, but I wonder if IP slipped through that, I did not notice the commencement of the block.... For some reason IP 24.44.78.192 is still free. That's 2/3 of the problem right there! I congratulate you for this. Djathinkimacowboy 14:43, 14 December 2011 (UTC)

Thanks
Thanks for welcoming me to Wikipedia!
I've edited a few dozen pages over the years but not with this account. I came back to help grow a page about an online game where I'm an Admin. As soon as we knew about it, it started to come up for deletion. It's interesting watching the deletion process. I didn't realise the potency of major newspapers and scholarly articles compared to more niche websites with massive domain expertise. Very interesting.
I'm a domain expert on a few topic areas; I might stay and make more significant contributions now that I know how to properly cite. StarBaby5 (talk • contribs) 22:20, 13 December 2011 (UTC)

Question regarding legitimate sockpuppet
What do I need to do to "register"(?) as a legitimate sockpuppet created for privacy purposes, I understand that I am to contact a "checkuser" but am unsure how to go about doing this in a secure manner.Quasi Montana (talk) 05:42, 14 December 2011 (UTC)

Response to message on my talk page
I apologize if my comment is interpreted as "not helpful" to gaining a consensus at the AfD, but DID consider it my obligation to advise the editor that their choice might not be as anonymous as they might wish it to be. Will delete comment and leave a message on the editor's talk page instead. Quasi Montana (talk) 06:00, 14 December 2011 (UTC)
Or I'll just leave it as is, since I wouldn't want to remove your text. If you feel it would be helpful or appropriate feel to delete my comment and your response to it or don't as you see fit. I can assure you that my motivations in this instance were aimed squarely at advising the editor in question on maintaining their privacy and not in influencing the discussion. Re:SP AfD IP editor merge
A later post by the same IP was signed as the same user (Captain Waffles) as the later post, I thought that was clear enough. However I did realize I was pushing a bit, but I did not think anyone involved would object.Quasi Montana (talk) 06:13, 16 December 2011 (UTC)
SP Redirect Page
On the AfD talk for Star Pirates you said that redirecting to a nonexistent article would not likely be acceptable. Any advice on how to get the redirect article created without looking like it's just an attempt to dodge the notability question on Star Pirates? I'm concerned the same questions might get raised before the page has a chance to get fleshed out. Druidelias (talk) 18:05, 16 December 2011 (UTC)

ELOAN EDITS
I spoke with Eloan's legal team. They can provide a letter from E-Loan's President authorizing me (Felipe Cardenas) to use content from eloan.com and other copyrighted materials to update E-Loan's Wikipedia page. Is this type of authorization sufficient? If not, what are our alternatives? E-Loan's legal is willing to sign a consent if said materials are for use solely for Wikipedia. According to E-Loan's legal team, Wikipedia's recommended consent (copied below) allows anyone who wants to use E-Loan copyrighted materials to do so on any website. E-Loan wants to limit the use of its intellectual property to Wikipedia only .
Please get back to me. Thank you.

The user you just blocked, MajinPerfect (talk · contribs), appears to be back as Gaypanther (talk · contribs), having recreated the identical page The Food Reviewer (complete with the CSD). I wanted to bring it to your attention, but if WP:SPI would be more appropriate, I can go there (the reason I didn't is because per WP:DUCK it seems pretty obvious). - SudoGhost 07:25, 22 December 2011 (UTC)

Deletion of K. V. K. Sundaram
Hello,
This is with reference to your deletion of K. V. K. Sundaram's page. This gentleman already exists on wikipedia as Kalyan Sundaram. However, he is commonly referred to as K. V. K. Sundaram, and there are empty links to this name from these pages:
Padma Vibhushan Presidency College, Chennai Law Commission of India S. Y. Quraishi
I think the best course ahead would be to set up a redirect from K. V. K Sundaram to Kalyan Sundaram. I tried to do so, but couldn't, since the page has been deleted by you, and I do not have the ability to reverse this. So could you please set up the redirect? Or else, could you please undelete the page and let me do so?
Thanks and regards, Prasanth — Preceding unsigned comment added by 125.62.207.200 (talk) 06:31, 24 December 2011 (UTC)
- I have created the redirect for you. The reason that you could not create the redirect is not because I deleted the article, but because you do not have an account. If you were to create an account, you would be able to create articles and redirects within the main article space. If you do not wish to create an account, but would like to request additional redirects to be created, you can request that a somebody with an account create them for you at Wikipedia:Articles for creation/Redirects. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 18:36, 24 December 2011 (UTC)

ElasticStack
I see this was deleted a few months ago. You listed the reason as "depends on nonexistent page".
What page did it depend upon that doesn't exist? I thought it mostly referenced www.elasticstack.com, which clearly does exist? I'd have thought, since other things like openstack have pages, it crosses notability guidelines, so I don't think it's that.
So, bit confused! Please advise. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 188.223.139.18 (talk) 14:03, 29 December 2011 (UTC)
- Elasticstack, which I deleted, was a redirect to ElasticStack, which was deleted by Peridon per CSD A7. Note the CamelCase difference between the two articles. The nonexistence is in reference to a nonexisting Wikipedia article, not an external website.
- I looked at the deleted article at ElasticStack and it was about the subsidiary company of ElasticHosts setup to support ElasticStack. It as not about the ElasticStack technology, like the OpenStack article. -- Gogo Dodo (talk) 20:29, 29 December 2011 (UTC)
