Control copyright icon Hello Gilbert.JW, and welcome to Wikipedia. Your additions to Draft:Dillon Danis have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.

  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are PD or compatibly licensed) it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions, the help desk or the Teahouse before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps in Wikipedia:Translation#How to translate. See also Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 22:06, 13 January 2020 (UTC)

Information icon Hello, I'm CASSIOPEIA. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, Conor McGregor, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at the tutorial on citing sources, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. CASSIOPEIA(talk) 12:35, 20 January 2020 (UTC)

I'm not sure why you object to cutting unnecessary detail from an article. You restored links that are already in the article several times and WP:UNDUE details. I'm not sure why you made no effort to discuss. Happy to chat through.NEDOCHAN (talk) 00:03, 24 January 2020 (UTC)
It might have been better to attempt discussion before filing a report for vandalism. Jeepers creepers.NEDOCHAN (talk) 00:13, 24 January 2020 (UTC)

Archiving your talk page

Hi Gilbert, Content/messages on your talk page can always be viewed from your history page even you deleted them. You might want to set up an archiving system to automatic archive your talk page message instead as it might not be helpful to you if next time you ask fro certain user right and admin notice you deleted some of the messages as if you might want to hide something. See Help:Archiving a talk page for help and instruction. Thank you. Cassiopeia(talk) 09:27, 8 April 2020 (UTC)

Conor mcgregor’s page

Hey brother, these numbers are from Dave meltzer Don’t change it,it has been like that for years especially Ufc 194 and ufc 196 Andrewnageh123 (talk) 22:14, 8 February 2021 (UTC)

Conor mcgregor Andrewnageh123 (talk) 22:40, 8 February 2021 (UTC)

Hello. You used unreliable sources namely tapology and reddit. These are unreliable sources as they are unverifiable. Tapology used Conor McGregor’s tweet as a source which is wholly inappropriate. Reddit is also completely unacceptable as a source. The sources listed for UFC 194 and UFC 196 buyrates are reputable and verified. Do not change the sources as the ones you have provided are not reliable. Gilbert.JW (talk) 15:37, 12 February 2021 (UTC)

Hello,Do you really follow MMA? Forget about Tapology, reddit was quoting an Article from Dave Meltzer who was the only real reporter/Journalist that have been reporting all UFC PPV buys from 1993 to 2019 when UFC left traditional ppvs and went to ESPN+ and he reported that UFC 194 did 1.2M (maybe even less that) and UFC 196 did 1,317,000,All the UFC PPV numbers that you always see until March 2019 that you were reporting were always from Dave meltzer numbers but sometimes you see confusion in conor mcgregor’s numbers because Dana White reports false claims before and after the events,The Source that you mentioned like Business insider doesn’t even cover MMA,It was literally a list that they looked it up from the internet and just put them on their article also are you saying that they can’t say anything wrong? That’s an article from a normal person not someone who covers boxing,MMA,professional wrestling for 30 years like Meltzer, the article put the the early estimates for UFC 196 1.5M which was reported later that it did 1.317M same as UFC 200,it was reported that it did 1.2M and later it was reported that it did 1.009,000,if you want me to bring the real sources from meltzer if i edit it again i will do it but don’t change it back,is it cool? Andrewnageh123 (talk) 16:49, 12 February 2021 (UTC)

If you can provide a reliable source such as a news report from a reputable site that is not Tapology or a reddit/social media post then feel free to edit, but it must be reliable and not made up. Gilbert.JW (talk) 17:40, 12 February 2021 (UTC)

I have updated the source to a reliable report so you do not need to change the figures. Gilbert.JW (talk) 18:24, 12 February 2021 (UTC)
