Welcome!

[edit]

Hello, Gewingewin, and welcome to Wikipedia! I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, such as Draft:Gabbar Singh ( The Dacoit ), may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines, and may not be retained.

There's a page about creating articles you may want to read called Your first article. If you are stuck, and looking for help, please come to the Teahouse, where experienced Wikipedians can answer any queries you have! Or, you can just type {{help me}} on this page, followed by your question, and someone will show up shortly to answer your questions. Here are a few other good links for newcomers:

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Draft:Gabbar Singh ( The Dacoit ) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from https://www.thehindu.com/todays-paper/tp-national/tp-karnataka/Sambarsquos-boss-was-for-real/article16478169.ece. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 22:26, 30 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Because it's inappropriate

[edit]

Regarding this and the query you left on my talk page, I reverted because stating "A frightening figure with a handlebar mustache, long beard and bloodshot eyes" and similar is inappropriate. And you should know that. Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 08:41, 31 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi

[edit]

But that was all also written in the national and international newspapers .. Gewingewin (talk) 08:47, 31 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

If newspapers are really using wording like that, then I think you are referring to tabloids. See WP:TABLOID. We don't write like that here. And I ask that you stop responding on my talk page. Just respond here on yours. A new section is not needed with each new reply. Just respond in the same section. For help, visit the Help:Desk. Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 09:00, 31 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Or better yet, visit WP:Teahouse. Flyer22 Reborn (talk) 09:02, 31 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Fine.i got about that paragraph. But rest of the stuff is perfect to post.

How could anyone update ??

[edit]

Seattletimes.. an US news agency also wrote same stuff .. they are right and if anyone support that article or follow the same is inappropriate ??

Please suggest.. Gewingewin (talk) 08:59, 31 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Essentially, the problems are that your English is not at a sufficiently advanced level to write prose on the English Wikipedia, and you have been warned about this many times. It has nothing to do with whether the people you are writing about are notable, and I'll ask Vanamonde93 and Winged Blades of Godric to see if they can do anything with Raj Kumar Gujar (which I have to delete as it is a word-for-word plagiarism of the Tribune source), but for now I think you would be better off using the Wikipedia in your native language instead. I'm not seeing a strong claim to notability here either. The award he won isn't remotely notable (it's 10k dollars, which is smaller than competitive awards most graduate students receive, for instance). Thank you for your comment, but I have checked the valid sources that you include and often they either aren't reliable sources or in several cases the links don't work. YOU are responsible for both providing good sources with working links AND correctly citing them so readers will know which citation to check for which statement. There's such a thing as good will where fellow editors here are willing to help, but your refusal to listen to others and leaving pretty hostile talk page posts removes that good will. As you said, I do not rule here, but neither do you. Wikipedia's policies rule and you have to follow them. Ravensfire (talk) 16:10, 11 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

By the way, please fix your signature so it includes a link to your user page or talk page. Right now it uses a different user name than your actual name and doesn't have a link. That's not acceptable and it must get fixed. see the page WP:SIGNATURE. Ravensfire (talk) 16:14, 11 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Mam Chand Gurjar

Hello Gewingewin,

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Hi there, I'm HasteurBot. I just wanted to let you know that Draft:Jograj Singh Panwar, a page you created, has not been edited in 5 months. The Articles for Creation space is not an indefinite storage location for content that is not appropriate for articlespace.

If your submission is not edited soon, it could be nominated for deletion. If you would like to attempt to save it, you will need to improve it.

You may request Userfication of the content if it meets requirements.

If the deletion has already occured, instructions on how you may be able to retrieve it are available at WP:REFUND/G13.

Thank you for your attention. HasteurBot (talk) 23:06, 19 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft article, Draft:Jograj Singh Panwar

[edit]

Hello, Gewingewin. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "Jograj Singh Panwar".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thank you for your submission to Wikipedia! CptViraj (📧) 09:13, 10 November 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Nagar Gujjar has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Fails WP:GNG. There is a colony called Gujjar Nagar - see [2] - but I've found nothing about the alleged clan in years

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
