Hi,

We are doing an assignment for a computer vision course. Our supervisor is Bob Fisher. We know about the copyright issues with the images. The assignments will be checked for correctness and the copyright issues with the images will be sorted if they are to be submitted on Wikipedia. Most likely the images will be replaced or rebuild by the students. The other pages I think will be deleted.

Thanks for the info. Unfortunately, I'll have to insist that you guys try and stick with the copyright rules from the start. It will certainly be great if you can replace the images with self-made, free ones, but until then, Wikipedia would actually prefer not having any images at all rather than having unnecessary non-free ones. As a minimum, it's really crucial you add correct sourcing information right from the start, when you upload stuff. Could you perhaps forward this request also to your course mates and supervisor?

By the way, since you're a class and since we're talking about it now, would you mind taking part in a little test? I'm working on a more user-friendly mechanism for image uploading, especially for new users. Next time you want to upload a file, could you try out this link: Wikipedia:File Upload Wizard, and tell me how you liked it in comparison to the traditional upload form?
