[edit] Hello, I'm GMH Melbourne. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions to Soul Electronics have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted; Wikipedia articles should be written objectively, using independent sources, and from a neutral perspective. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you. ––– GMH MELBOURNE TALK 11:44, 19 September 2023 (UTC)
- Understood, thank you for your comment, let me try again. Garyplso (talk) 06:48, 20 September 2023 (UTC)
Categories
[edit]Hello. Regarding this recent edit of yours, I noticed you attempted to add an item directly to a category page.
In Wikipedia, categories must be added to the article, not the other way around. Please see Wikipedia:FAQ/Categorization#How do I add an article to a category? For newer editors, it's understandably a counter-intuitive system.
Category pages are not intended to be exhaustive lists. They are navigation aids; merely groupings of related, existing English Wikipedia pages.
To categorize Soul Electronics, simply go to the article Soul Electronics and add [[Category:Headphones manufacturers]]
at the bottom of the page. To remove an article from a category, edit the article and remove the category. For instructions on how to do all this using VisualEditor, see Help:VisualEditor § Editing categories. For further detailed information, see Help:Category and Wikipedia:Categorization.
Let me know if you need any assistance or have any questions. Cheers! --DB1729talk 10:38, 4 December 2023 (UTC)
NUU for Business moved to draftspace
[edit]Thanks for your contributions to NUU for Business. Unfortunately, I do not think it is ready for publishing at this time because it needs more sources to establish notability and does not adhere to WP:NPOV, coming across more promotional than we'd typically expect articles to. I have converted your article to a draft which you can improve, undisturbed for a while.
Please see more information at Help:Unreviewed new page. When the article is ready for publication, please click on the "Submit for review" button at the top of the page OR move the page back. Hey man im josh (talk) 18:54, 28 January 2025 (UTC)

[edit]
Hello Garyplso. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being employed (or being compensated in any way) by a person, group, company or organization to promote their interests. Paid advocacy on Wikipedia must be disclosed even if you have not specifically been asked to edit Wikipedia. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat search-engine optimization.
Paid advocates are strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.
Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:Garyplso. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=Garyplso|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}
. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. bonadea contributions talk 15:39, 29 January 2025 (UTC)
