Time To Spread A Little
Happy Holiday Cheer!!
I decorated a special kind of Christmas tree
in the spirit of the season.

What's especially nice about
this digitized version:
*it doesn't need water
*won't catch fire
*and batteries aren't required.
Wishing you a happy and prosperous New Year!!

Thank you very much for this excellent greeting, my new dear friend! ... Gareth Griffith‑Jones The Welsh Buzzard 10:30, 18 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Merry Merry

Happy Christmas!
Early in A Child's Christmas in Wales the young Dylan and his friend Jim Prothero witness smoke pouring from Jim's home. After the conflagration has been extinguished Dylan writes that

Nobody could have had a noisier Christmas Eve. And when the firemen turned off the hose and were standing in the wet, smoky room, Jim's Aunt, Miss. Prothero, came downstairs and peered in at them. Jim and I waited, very quietly, to hear what she would say to them. She said the right thing, always. She looked at the three tall firemen in their shining helmets, standing among the smoke and cinders and dissolving snowballs, and she said, "Would you like anything to read?"

My thanks to you for your efforts to keep the 'pedia readable in case the firemen chose one of our articles :-) Best wishes to you and yours and happy editing in 2019. MarnetteD|Talk 07:29, 18 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Hello Gareth. I hope you enjoy this years card. As the events take place in your part of the planet I wanted you to be the first person to receive it. Cheers. MarnetteD|Talk 07:29, 18 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry, Gareth, Santa and I had only a limited supply of mittens this year, which is why you only got one. I'm afraid you'll have to be rather Dickensian and do without. Best, Softlavender (talk) 23:06, 30 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Softlavender. Perhaps the mitten would serve as a muzzle (?). Gareth Griffith‑Jones The Welsh Buzzard 12:17, 31 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your kind good wishes for 2019. I'd meant to reply more promptly, but then I remembered it was time for lunch. It was particularly thoughtful of you to provide a translation. I draw to a juddering halt with Welsh shortly after "araf"". I reciprocate. I wish you and those whom, deservedly, you care about all that you should reasonably wish for yourselves during what remains of 2019. Plus a bit (of the good stuff). Please check out "Happy" once more, for a smile, and sharing (a Nobel Peace Prize), and resolutions. I wanted that for 1 January, but then wasn't sad about having our music pictured instead. Not too late for resolutions, New Year or not. DYK that he probably kept me on Wikipedia, back in 2012? By the line (which brought him to my attention, and earned the first precious in br'erly style) that I added to my editnotice, in fond memory? --Gerda Arendt (talk) 15:09, 12 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Trwynmynachdy

Hi Gareth, sorry if I'm being a pest, but Google and I translate the name (if split into three) of this rock near Ramsey Island as thy monk's nose. What's your view? (BTW, some have said it has many consonants, but I'm beginning to know better...) Cheers, Tony. Tony Holkham (Talk) 21:38, 6 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

You could never be a pest. Oh dear, I'm afraid I am unable to add to that. All references have it written as one word, which does not help. Sorry, Gareth Griffith-Jones (contribs) (talk) 13:06, 7 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Have you spoken to this editor? Gareth Griffith-Jones (contribs) (talk) 13:10, 7 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks, Gareth. I may have a look in some old Welsh newspapers. Cheers. Tony Holkham (Talk) 13:12, 7 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Yes well I suppose if we were lucky we could re create it as a separate article, although I doubt it. Crouch, Swale (talk) 14:39, 7 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

IP

'morning, Gareth, and a beautiful morning, too. It is unusual to see a "new" IP editing in such haste, but with in-depth knowledge of their subject and Wikipedia procedures, somewhat irritable in their rare edit summaries. It has a "prodigal son" feel about it. On the whole, their edits seem to be of benefit to WP articles on Wales; I wish, though, they would register and engage, as I fear as with other such phenomena they will burn out and disappear from whence they came, leaving us all mystified. What brought on this magnanimous mood? Just the sunshine, I guess. Cheers, Tony Tony Holkham (Talk) 11:26, 17 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

You are pleased, aren't you! I cannot believe the're new. The IP Address Geolocation shows London. Gareth Griffith-Jones (contribs) (talk) 17:34, 17 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I've left a note on their talk page, but I don't expect a response. Trying to clean up Nevern after them is a little frustrating, but the good mood persists... Cheers, Tony. Tony Holkham (Talk) 23:44, 17 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you Tony for the "thanks". Very much agree with you that our leaving notices on their Talk will change nothing. They seem to be working in a blind tunnel with regard to edit summaries. Gareth Griffith-Jones (contribs) (talk) 10:50, 18 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you Tony for the edit. What about my comment just before your revision? [when?] None of this is dated. Gareth Griffith-Jones (contribs) (talk) 12:04, 18 January 2019 (UTC)  Done[reply]
Agreed; and thanks for your edits so it doesn't read like the plot of a soap. As for dates, the two maps aren't clear, either, as to what era they signify. The trouble is, many of the newer refs are not accessible as they stand, so information cannot be easily checked or refined. Some older ones, though, are available as pdf downloads, so some work to do there, I guess. Tony Holkham (Talk) 12:11, 18 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Am I feeling your "magnanimous mood" is diminishing a tad? Gareth Griffith-Jones (contribs) (talk) 14:58, 18 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps; "I am only an egg" (reference to WP, not Wales). T. Tony Holkham (Talk) 15:11, 18 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I'm removing more of the "soap plot" ... great fun! Gareth Griffith-Jones (contribs) (talk) 12:27, 19 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Now Pembroke is getting the history textbook treatment, and unsourced. Where next, I wonder? I guess it's best to leave it until the storm has passed, and then clear away the debris? Tony Holkham (Talk) 11:37, 20 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I agree with youI more or less took a break from WP yesterday.
It is pointless leaving messages with someone like that who rarely leaves an edit summary and, when they do, are always adversarial. Ah well ... Gareth Griffith-Jones (contribs) (talk) 11:56, 21 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
We're off again; Dungleddy now. Tony Holkham (Talk) 20:14, 22 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
And Roose Hundred, but I see you have dealt with both. Many thanks, Gareth Griffith-Jones (contribs) (talk) 11:03, 23 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
If there's still no response, including (to this), I'm not sure where we go next. Admin? I haven't experienced this before; it's a great pity because the IP is producing some interesting stuff along with the disruption. Tony Holkham (Talk) 11:19, 23 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I was delighted that you followed my lead in dealing with this disruptive editor in the same way that I had here.
On a more positive observation, I do not see much evidence of their returning to the articles you and I have restored. We are managing this at the moment.
All the best! Gareth Griffith-Jones (contribs) (talk) 11:40, 23 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Tony, are you happy with my revision here? Gareth Griffith-Jones (contribs) (talk) 14:50, 23 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Of course... I might have said that, while it is not the county town, it gives its name to the modern county of Pembrokeshire (if this is true, and can be sourced?). Or, to put it another way, I have the tendency not to use one word when ten will do...? I don't know whether it was ever the county town (it was maybe the chief town of Penfro Cantref), but I'll see if I can find out.Tony Holkham (Talk) 14:59, 23 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Tony! Since yesterday morning before the rugby started, this is my first visit to my pc. Well done, I read that they have a one month block set about half an hour ago.[1] Now I am going to watch England versus France, sadly on ITV—a French win will suit me nicely. Cheers! Gareth Griffith-Jones (contribs) (talk) 14:48, 10 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Just to draw a line under this (hopefully!), I sought admin advice earlier, which is at User_talk:Oshwah#IP_frustration. It was reassuring.
A rather emphatic rugby result. Steam-roller England are going to be hard to beat, but it will be interesting to see in a fortnight's time, eh? Tony Holkham (Talk) 20:23, 10 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for this—I have read every word. This admin is very helpful, and I have noticed Oshwah's sensible interventions many times before.
Yes, France were humiliated. Now the match in Cardiff on the 23rd could well be the tournament decider. Wishing you a good week! Gareth Griffith-Jones (contribs) (talk) 11:09, 11 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Perhaps unsurprisingly, the editor entirely misses the point of the block. A community such as WP is not the best place for a lone, uncommunicative editor. I wonder whether he will realise that. Probably better off in "blog-land".
You have a good week, too. T. Tony Holkham (Talk) 11:49, 11 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

List of places in Pembrokeshire

Hey, Gareth, I think you've added some places in Ceredigion to this article? Cheers, Tony. Tony Holkham (Talk) 15:47, 16 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Glad you liked it. Here is another little gem, and another of my favourites. Shame about the glam. I just closed my eyes and listened. I bought the sheet music many years ago, but it was way beyond me. Perhaps I should have bought the shoes, as well... Tony Holkham (Talk) 15:58, 17 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Congratulation you guys. Boo to England! Felt sure we would win. Rodney Baggins (talk) 10:14, 24 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Good morning Tony, Martin, Michael, Rodney,
I'm still smiling.
We do like to take control of the second half. That always makes the win more valued ... twelve consecutive wins means Wales keep their international third place behind the All Blacks and Ireland.

More good news, Tony, Martin, Michael, Rodney.
Wales receive another boost: Leigh Halfpenny made a successful return today for Scarlets, playing for the first time in more than three months. He kicked four conversions and a penalty as they defeated the Cheetahs in the Pro14 with six tries.
He played the full 80 minutes despite suffering an early knock.

Good news G! Thanks fr the update. MarnetteD|Talk 17:35, 24 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Excellent, thanks Gareth. Hope Biggar will play as well. His inch-perfect chip-kicking will be needed against Ireland. On the latter, they didn't play well today, and were nearly beaten by Italy! Tony Holkham (Talk) 17:45, 24 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, Michael and Tony, he needed treatment on the pitch following that "knock" and did not take that resulting try's conversion.
For the sixth try, his kick bounced off the post. I am so happy for him. Gareth Griffith-Jones (contribs) (talk) 17:58, 24 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Halfpenny is a truly inspiring player and one the best kickers Wales have ever had. Martinevans123 (talk) 17:53, 24 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Absolutely. And my better 'alf has a crush on him, unsurprisingly. Tony Holkham (Talk) 18:01, 24 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Update on Leigh Halfpenny

Good morning Michael, Tony, Martin & anyone else who's watching ... Recovery to top form. Halfpenny turned in a classy display in his second game back after concussion; he kicked five points for Scarlets after setting up their attacking platform with a run from half-way to put Nicholas over for the first try after 11 minutes and then landed the conversion off the post.[1] Gareth Griffith-Jones (contribs) (talk) 08:58, 3 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

That was one tough match G. They had to expend so much energy in defense. Rest up for next weekend :-) MarnetteD|Talk 19:37, 9 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Ireland v France has just ended, Michael. I have just switched my pc on for the first time since before yesterday's match. It was a punishing second half and certainly was "nerve-wracking"—but I can settle for 13 wins in a row as long as it's 14 next Saturday.
Gatland says full-back Liam Williams should be fit after coming off with a shoulder injury at Murrayfield. Cheers! Gareth Griffith-Jones (contribs) (talk) 17:08, 10 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Watching Ireland today made me think Wales will have their hands full next week. But I think they can do it. Tony Holkham (Talk) 00:55, 11 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I agree TH. The team certainly is not going to be able to rest on the laurels of anything that has happened in the four previous matches. MarnetteD|Talk 01:05, 11 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Good aftrnoon Michael and Tony,
I agree with Jeremy Guscott's analysis.[1] It is going to be a blast: Grand Slam for Wales on the day before St Patrick's Day in the Principality Stadium.
What could surpass that?! Gareth Griffith-Jones (contribs) (talk) 14:43, 11 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the link G. It is gonna be an exciting Saturday!! MarnetteD|Talk 23:50, 11 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Miscommunication?

Hello Gareth

I saw you're a Merchant Taylors' boy - I'm Habs.

You posted a mention about 30 St Mary Axe - something about being unconstructive - not mine...

How to resolve such matters?

Cheers, 82.132.244.49 (talk) 23:56, 13 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Woot Woot

What a game G!! They saved their best performance for last. I had a small twinge of doubt when George North went out but the team crushed that the same way they dominated Ireland. Enjoy the celebration!! MarnetteD|Talk 17:38, 16 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

What an epic match! What an epic achievement! I was glad Ireland finally got a try. Martinevans123 (talk) 17:45, 16 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Stunning, just stunning. Tony Holkham (Talk) 17:47, 16 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Goodness me. That England-Scotland match was just incredible. Scotland retaining the Calcutta Cup!! What a way for the Championship to finish. Just breathtaking. Martinevans123 (talk) 19:06, 16 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Good morning, Michael, Tony, Martin,
I am so proud.
14th straight test match win in a row. Wales are now, officially, Number 2 in the World with the All Blacks remaining in the number one spot.[1] Gareth Griffith-Jones (contribs) (talk) 10:42, 17 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Buckwheat

Hi Gareth, I see that you have undone my update to the article on Buckwheat. Firstable, thank you for collaborating, and I see you have been doing this for a while and respect your work. Would you please elaborate your decision? Would you hear me out on my reasoning, as I sincerely believe my contribution can be both useful and increase accuracy of the artcle. I await your reply. I going to revert my edit now that you have posted this explanation here and on the article's Talk page.
I see this subject has been raised before but not expanded in Talk:Buckwheat#Upholstery fill on 9 November 2016.

March GOCE newsletter

Guild of Copy Editors March 2019 Newsletter

Hello and welcome to the March newsletter, a brief update of Guild activities since December 2018. All being well, we're planning to issue these quarterly in 2019, balancing the need to communicate widely with the avoidance of filling up talk pages. Don't forget you can unsubscribe at any time; see below.

January Drive: Thanks to everyone for the splendid work in January's Backlog Elimination Drive. We removed copyedit tags from all of the articles tagged in our original target months of June, July and August 2018, and by 24 January we ran out of articles. After adding September, we finished the month with 8 target articles remaining and 842 left in the backlog. GOCE copyeditors also completed 48 requests for copyedit in January. Of the 31 people who signed up for this drive, 24 copyedited at least one article. Final results, including barnstars awarded, are available here.

Blitz: Thanks to everyone who participated in the February Blitz. Of the 15 people who signed up, 13 copyedited at least one article. Participants claimed 32 copyedits, including 15 requests. Final results, including barnstars awarded, are available here.

Progress report: As of 23:39, 18 March 2019 (UTC), GOCE copyeditors have completed 108 requests since 1 January and the backlog stands at 851 articles.

March Drive: The month-long March drive is now underway; the target months are October and November 2018. Awards will be given to everyone who copyedits at least one article from the backlog. Sign up here!

Election reminder: It may only be March but don't forget our mid-year Election of Coordinators opens for nominations on 1 June. Coordinators normally serve a six-month term and are elected on an approval basis. Self-nominations are welcome. If you've thought of helping out at the Guild, or know of another editor who would make a good coordinator, please consider standing for election or nominating them here.

Thank you all again for your participation; we wouldn't be able to achieve what we have without you! Cheers from your GOCE coordinators Miniapolis, Baffle gab1978, Jonesey95, Reidgreg and Tdslk.

List of Duty cast issues

Thanks for your thanks!

I do actually find that format of information quite helpful. But I would personally need it to be rather more focused on Main cast characters than what was suggested. Actually this show's cast list is so... volatile that its usage would need to be highly targeted - perhaps just a dozen or so individuals - otherwise it would get out of hand. I personally would hold fire on this type of display until after any possible move of the majority of the cast information to a secondary article. None of which has been decided on yet. Thoughts? :: Kevinalewis : (Talk Page)/(Desk) 15:33, 23 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for posting here.
My reaction to these recent proposals is to agree with you on pretty much all and I oppose moving the cast to yet another article. Always, we must consider the reader. How tedious to have to flip from one article to another. Much better to concentrate on improving rather than deleting. Cheers! Leader-board

User:Gareth_Griffith-Jones#Link_to_leader-board

Noticed your edit to this - I didn't even know that was a thing - having said that I haven't been here quite as constantly as my version now suggests. Seems I am a bit up from you based on more time - you really must have been motoring! :: Kevinalewis : (Talk Page)/(Desk) 16:10, 25 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Good evening Kevinalewis, Yes, I have been editing since June 2011. When did you start? And what is your total? I must add that I appreciate your professionalism. Gareth Griffith-Jones (contribs) (talk) 18:46, 25 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. Based on an older counter scheme I thoughts it was will over 99,000 (and that a few years back) however based on the page you mention it is more like 89,000+. "Be bold" seems to be the ruling dictum with most of the editors I come across, however I find one persons opinion or 'good idea' is just that! one idea. The thing I like about wikipedia is that many hand make light work and generally improve things. Not always true I know. The thing that nearly always gets me is notability, one man's notable is another's "I've never heard of them". I find this whole area rather a week spot on Wikipedia. Anyhow - cheers. :: Kevinalewis : (Talk Page)/(Desk) 08:29, 26 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Good afternoon Kevinalewis,
Ha, ha! I see you have mirrored my link to leader-board section on your User page.
Rest assured, no royalties will be levied. Have a great weekend! Gareth Griffith-Jones (contribs) (talk) 11:44, 26 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Happy birthday, Gareth! I hope you have a good day. Cheers, Tony. Tony Holkham (Talk) 08:08, 28 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Dear friend, Thank you. Joke is my dog's birthday is also in April (2008) which makes us the same age on the seven times theory.
I am hoping your back is better, having seen your editing over the past few days. All the best, Gareth Griffith-Jones (contribs) (talk) 10:11, 28 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
My back feels better, thanks, but I know it isn't. I shall have to resign myself to less gardening and more cooking and bottle-washing. My dog's about the same age as yours, deaf and other ailments, but still bursting with energy (between long naps). Tony Holkham (Talk) 10:26, 28 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I cannot imagine my life without a dog. My eighth birthday present was an eight-week-old Pembrokeshire Corgi who was born in the county. He survived sixteen years; a dear little chap.
Gareth Griffith-Jones (contribs) (talk) 10:35, 28 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I know what you mean. Sparky (a Jack Russell) has given us so much pleasure since we rescued him from the streets of Southampton in 2009; we are very lucky, as he is the friendliest dog I have ever known, and I have known a few. Tony Holkham (Talk) 10:47, 28 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Line of Duty

Hello
Thanks for your note. You're right, I'd forgotten pings don't work that way. I'm guessing they'll look in on the discussion sometime; otherwise I can always re-ping them. Anyway, my regards, Swanny18 (talk) 21:10, 28 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hello there, Gareth. Sut wyt ti? Good I hope. I've nominated this film article about the life of the Indian freedom fighter Bhagat Singh starring Ajay Devgn as the titular character. As always, your comments would be most welcome and beneficial to the overall improvement of the article. Thanks.  — Ssven2 Looking at you, kid 08:36, 4 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry dear friend to have not applied myself to your request but, since May 11, I have been absent from Wikipedia for most of that period. All the best! Gareth Griffith-Jones (contribs) (talk) 17:56, 9 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
It has been promoted, mon ami, and thank you for your good luck wish.  — Ssven2 Looking at you, kid 04:12, 10 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Tres bien, Gareth Griffith-Jones (contribs) (talk) 10:02, 10 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
I would however like you to comment on my PR for Kal Ho Naa Ho, the link for which is right here.  — Ssven2 Looking at you, kid 14:16, 10 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Again....

Explain, please. Why did you revert this? Jauerbackdude?/dude. 20:04, 3 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Looking at the page history, seems like you may have a slight case of WP:OWN. Jauerbackdude?/dude. 20:05, 3 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Come on, just restore the edit and admit you made a mistake. Or come up with a really good explanation on why my edit was wrong (and ignorant). Jauerbackdude?/dude. 20:17, 3 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Your edit, At the opera house during Anthony's performance, the Pope is served poisoned tea by Archbishop Gilday and dies, is inaccurate. Gareth Griffith-Jones (contribs) (talk) 11:30, 4 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, fair enough. I see your point and that my wording choice isn't clear as it makes it seem like the Pope was poisoned at the opera house. However, my point still stands, because the current text isn't correct, either as including it in the bulleted list makes it appear that the Pope's death was part of Vincent's revenge. Feel free to fix that to your satisfaction. Also, your quick reverts and crappy edit summary ("Ignorant"? Really?) aren't helpful whatsoever. I explained my intent in my edit summary, and you could have easily fixed my edit rather than reverting it twice. Then, when asked about it, you delete the question without comment. Not the best tactic for collaboration. Jauerbackdude?/dude. 13:28, 4 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
 Done Gareth Griffith-Jones (contribs) (talk) 15:46, 4 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! Jauerbackdude?/dude. 16:21, 4 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Rainy day

I've been indulging in a bit of tv fantasy-time...a marathon actually...watching Outlander. Very entertaining but not quite Shakespeare or Merlin. ^_^ Atsme Talk 📧 19:11, 29 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Diana Gabaldon is new to me. Looks brilliant. Thanks for the info'... hope you have a lovely Sunday! Gareth Griffith-Jones (contribs) (talk) 11:51, 30 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Hi Gareth and Atsme. FYI the main character in Outlander is named Jamie in honor of Jamie from Dr Who. See paragraph four here Frazer Hines#Doctor Who for more info. Frazer had a guest role in the Wentworth Prison episode of the first season of Outlander :-) Cheers to you both. MarnetteD|Talk 17:31, 7 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Now that's an interesting bit of trivia, indeed. Thank you, MarnetteD. Atsme Talk 📧 17:35, 7 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
So, not new to you, my good friend. Great to hear from you and my much newer friend. All the best! Gareth Griffith-Jones (contribs) (talk) 17:47, 7 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
So good to hear from you as well G. Romance novels are not my usual reading fare so I was a little leery of the series to begin with. The connection to DW did spur me on to give it a try. As I progressed through the first season I got caught up in the story and the acting is excellent throughout. Later seasons have also been well done. Only a couple months to go to the World Cup that really matters :-) Many of the matches will be on in the wee hours of the morning my time so I am grateful for the DVR! Goooooo Wales!!!! MarnetteD|Talk 17:59, 7 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
you may not have noticed, but I have replied below in Happy Birthday JP too. Gareth Griffith-Jones (contribs) (talk) 18:09, 7 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Happy Birthday JP

Hello again Gareth. In more Dr Who news today is the 100th anniversary of Jon Pertwee's birth! Here is a nice interview with Sean. Being the child of any of the actors playing the Dr would be amazing. With Jon's love of gadgets Sean's youth must have been a real treat. Cheers. MarnetteD|Talk 17:31, 7 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

What a treat! Thank you for that link. Five minutes of such value. It ran on into this! My favourite Doctor, as you know. Gareth Griffith-Jones (contribs) (talk) 17:55, 7 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Very nice that they combined the various interviews together. A week or so ago I was thinking that Graham has had his beard for five or six years now so it was fun to see him before the whiskers :-) I love that Gloria Estefan knew about the show. I remember that, on the episode that featured Bradley Cooper, Lady Gaga and Jodie Whitaker, Lady G new more about the show than Graham! MarnetteD|Talk 18:10, 7 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

A final check

As a contributor at Staffordshire Bull Terrier, I thought you might like to give it a quick read, and participate in the discussion on the TP directly above the GA Review section. I think all the challenges have been tended but I may have missed something, so whenever you get a chance see what changes have been proposed and if anything else needs to get done.
