Hello, thank you very much for your attention. I am asking you to review my first article in the draft if possible. I will be very grateful to you. I have used wikipedia in other languages before, so I have little experience. I hope I didn't make any big mistakes in the article I wrote in the draft. Thank you again for your welcome.Futurolog21 (talk) 03:30, 23 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Connection

[edit]

What is your relation/connection to User:DragqueenLadySlim and User:Efendicleo? CNMall41 (talk) 07:06, 8 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

first user, I have an acquaintance who is not in the country at the moment, I think it's his page, but maybe I'm wrong. I will not be able to ask and say for sure because he is not in the country. I know the second participant only by his username from Azerbaijan Wikipedia. I have no connection in Real. I have not invited anyone here to comment or provide feedback. because the activity of the person I wrote about in Azerbaijan, that is, Lady Slim, is not received positively. the current government constantly hinders its activities. I sympathize with him as I am an LGBT member myself. but in general, his activity is not received unambiguously in the country. But according to Wikipedia's rules, if I'm not mistaken, a person can be written about if they are distinguished by their innovative contributions, and it doesn't matter if it's received well or badly. You might think that he is an ordinary artist. but you can watch its activity in abbreviated form.

Thank you for the response. Please see WP:SOCK an more importantly WP:MEAT. Neither may apply but please have a look just in case one does. I can also understand how the subject can be contentious in Azerbaijan. Here, it is not about who the person is or what they do. It all comes down to notability guidelines, specifically the sources that show if the person is notable or not. You are free to leave a comment in the deletion discussion which is where all talk about the person's notability should be focused at the moment (not on this talk page or mine). Thanks again. --CNMall41 (talk) 21:49, 8 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]

@CNMall41 I didn't remove the article-for-deletion notice from the article. It was deleted by an experienced user, more precisely by the administrator of the English Wikipedia from the article, and the next day you again added these notice for deletion. I didn't change anything myself. Futurolog21 (talk) 18:15, 27 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, Futurolog21. I see you pinged me but I am not sure what response you are looking for. I am slightly confused by the statement or if a response is needed. --CNMall41 (talk) 21:28, 27 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I am seeing this however which could be considered WP:CANVASSING. I am assuming this is unintentional as is often the case with newer editors. Note that an administrator on Wikipedia is not the ultimate voice in a deletion discussion. This would be considered a WP:SUPERVOTE. Basically, they are there to close discussions based on consensus of those involved in the discussion (they are allowed to vote within the discussion as well). The closing admin could advise more, but in this case, there were few votes in the original discussion so it looks like they closed it as a soft delete (meaning that people could ask for it to be restored as it is treated more like a WP:PROD). With all this in mind, the best advise I can give is to go to the actually deletion discussion to make your case for keeping the page. That is where it will ultimately be decided. This link contains good information on arguments to avoid in a deletion discussion.--CNMall41 (talk) 21:44, 27 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I am not an experienced Wikipedia user. In other wikipedia languages, I remember reading that if a template for deletion is removed from an article, then it is not allowed to put forward this article for deletion again. Therefore, I turned to the administrator with a question, is this correct or not ?? I didn't have any ulterior motives. And secondly, my goal was to highlight the LGBT problems of my country in the English Wikipedia. I wanted to write about the murder of a gay journalist in Baku, about a brutally murdered transgender, etc. But considering that after collecting materials, translating them into English, post them and finally nominated for deletion, I no longer want to continue. I will not do anything to save an already posted article. Let Wikipedia users decide. the only thing I don't want to see is vandalism, since I myself, although new to Wikipedia, but diligently try not to do this. If I offended you with something, then I'm sorry, if so, then I repeat without ulterior motives. Futurolog21 (talk) 23:19, 27 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I understand you don't have ulterior motives, hence why I stated "assuming this was unintentional." While there are similarities across Wikipedia projects in various languages, there are also differences so I am not sure about the deletion process in other languages that are not English. Here, if a deletion discussion is closed as "keep" it is generally frowned upon (and likely considered WP:TE if there is clear consensus) to send an article right back to a deletion discussion.
On a side note, do NOT be discouraged because of one article. If there is another that you were considering, feel free to create the draft and submit for review. I would even be willing to look at it if you want to disclose the name of the person. --CNMall41 (talk) 23:27, 27 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
